Hoodoo skiff 13ft 1in long 39.1in wide wt 108 pounds wt capacity 551 pounds 6 hp motor capacity 443 pounds gear/motor/people capacity (gross-empty weight). I like that transom mount for the engine. good video. If bought with the engine suggested preorder price $3499.99 from the Hoodoo site.

The only thing I don’t like is how far forward the transom is. I prefer how my soloskiff is set up. But this definitely comes with some nice features.
They should have made it come with a bow mount ready to go for a trolling motor

So less expensive does not mean cheap. equal/better quality parts,more accessories, lighter and faster than solo skiff? Maybe just smaller footprint than solo skiff. Seems like no Brainer to me that solo skiff needs to come up with a new generation and keep price unchanged

I wondered when these were going to show up. You can order same skiff from China 4 about 5 to $600. That motor mount needs to be Stainless if u r going Ocean. What's in the box in front of the motor mount?

@@gusrojas6500 yes I saw a video on Alibaba promoting a number of Skiff makers and this was just one of them. Prices varied from one to another but not by much maybe $100. This one was one of the top makers so it could be a little more, but not $1200 more.
Does that include import broker fee stuff?
Shipping that boat from China with the brokerage fees and such will cost you more to get it than what these guys are charging and... you'll wait 3-4 months. What if it arrives damaged? Well, good luck. At the very least, you'll wait another 3-4 months for a replacement and be charged more money to get it. It's not as easy as it seems.
Anyone buy one from alibaba? I’ve bought all my ebike stuff from there.
How did you mount the transducer for your fish finder?
Seems like a lot of money considering the outback is more but comes with a pedal drive system and even with the motor you have to paddle once you get to your fishing spot.
You can't really paddle this. It's a boat. You would want to have a trolling motor. The Outback is a kayak. I love the Outback but this is designed to put a 6hp on it. You get to your spot way faster with this.
Apples and oranges. Skiffs and kayaks are different things but since this one is rotomolded it's easy to confuse them.
The price is a little steep.

Hoodoo is doin some great stuff. I love my tempest 120p. I can get up to 6 knots without a motor.
Al hoodoo does is very other company's designs. This skiff is copied a solo skip and not even the same durability, material or thickness. All hoodoo peddle drives copies the original hobie drive.
@@FingerStink420 still got me on the water in some style, and for a fraction of the cost of a hobie.

I like my solo skiff. My front hatch is a storage/live well. I can place my owe mounts anywhere. The seating on this skiff will be problematic. Can you mount and seat on top? I have a 6hp tohatsu on my solo skiff. No problem. Pushes about 11/15. Depending on my equipment.
I've got money in hand for a solo but the problem is, there aren't any. Pissed off dealers with no inventory everywhere. I've been looking at offers ones and there's a few in TX and FL, both a huge drive for me. Now I'm researching these. Idk why the same aftermarket kit that turns the front solo hatch into a live well wouldn't do the same on this. The Soloskiff doesn't come with a seat, you have to bolt one through the hatch. Why couldn't you do that on this? What are your thoughts?

@@justinbryant635 The front storage on the hero 130 should have been a live/dry well. The only thing on this skiff I like if the rails. I put h-rails on my solo skiff. The seat on the 130 should have been a little more built as with hinges, and the front hitch should be different. More uniform with the body.
Right, but the solo skiff front hatch doesn't come as a live well. There's a kit to convert it to a live well right? Why wouldn't the same kit work for this skiff?
@@justinbryant635 I’m not sure. I converted my front hatch into a live when I’m out in the gulf. The solo skiff is made to be converted or keep it as is. The 130 has this big hug hole in the front and no room to put additional storage like the solo. If I was making the 130. I definitely would have made the front storage a live well and room in front to put a round or rectangle storage in the front. Made the seating door better with hinges. No one wants to copy the next man. But you do want to draw people to it. And make it better. Like hobie. Hobie was leading the way in the kayak world. Until old town came out with its motorized kayak. If you’re going to make something similar. You may want to make sure it’s better than the competition.
I have been in my solo skiff a little over two years. I bought it used and stripped everything off. And made everything custom. One of many reasons I like the solo. It’s was like a blank Canvas. Waiting on the artist to put it together.
I have to see what this can do inshore or in the bay.
So, AL... What's in that Square in hull center locked box?
Very cool, but i am curious to know the weight/person capacity of the boat. And how easy is it to car top? I have an old town square stern that i put on my truck so i dont have to deal with trailers and ramps. Plus it takes a 5hp motor and carries 4 people or 850 lbs. It does not have all the cool accessory options though.
Weights 108 pounds can take 551 pounds which means 400# dry hull capacity you and a minor many not two adults and can take a 6hp

NO. You just need to remove the motor when storing and not in use.
This is just a Chinese skiff that’s branded by hoodoo correct? Same thing a ton of manufacturers are doing right now like Vanhunks etc.
Can’t speak for this one I’m not sure but yes there are a lot of companies doing that

I’ve worked with HooDoo for a while now and their boats are pretty damn decent. You can also actually get their boats right now which is more than you can say about the other companies right now. I’d put this skiff against any other of the other ones out there. Their tempest 120 pedal drive is a solid and fast kayak. Vibe started out the same way they did.

@@yakgadgetjt2028 I've read up plenty of problems with their rudder systems breaking and peddles drives not lasting as well. I'll be passing on hoodoo for now too many bad comments I've seen.

@@AliexFolgueira You won't find a Solo Skif since none weren't even made this year. I haven't seen one in over a year. That's why these guys put this out. Solo has had issues with the mold and Crescent hasn't been able to make any due to the kayak boom and lack of resources.
