I went for a ski trip to Sugarloaf. I took my nephew with me. We're from New Orleans, LA. we left Feb 12, it was in the low 70's . Long day of travel North till we reached the ski resort. What a shock to our body's, it was 8F outside. People down in Louisiana say it's freezing at anything in the 40's. We enjoyed the first 3 days, then the 2 day blizzard hit. Got buried by 42 inches of snow, snow drifted my van and covered it up. It was well below zero. Getting cabin fever we took turns digging out our vehicle. Everyone were very nice and helpful in whatever we needed. The state is beautiful, great place to vacation but I don't think I could handle the winters.

Aww don't scare the people away 😂😂 maine winters ain't cold heck the majority of us born and raised here walk around in shorts year round just don't mind us when were Drunk as well make you tourists laugh as we enjoy fucking around with other maine residents. Were a laid back people who enjoy our time with law enforcement and heck we will even clown around and pick at each other when their detaining us or having up sober up in lock up for the weekend.
This winter has been a breeze. Which sucks because i love the snow.

Great video! This makes sense, but I think it would be worth it. So Maine was on my top two list of states to visit in the east coast. Long story short I was in New Hampshire for 9 days doing some stuff with a church and it was a great experience, and it was my first time in the east coast. Since my flight back home was in the evening, I got to go to Maine for a few hours. I arrived at York where I visited Stonewall Kitchen, the Nubble Light, which was really nice, The Goldenrod restaurant ice cream where I ate lobster and blueberry ice cream for the first time which was really good. I am aware that Souther Maine is more expensive, and I looked at Waterville and surrounding cities where I found a job opening I qualify for. I do not want to go North because it is very cold. I live in Southern California, and I do not think I can do temperatures that are below zero. How is it like living in the central part of Maine overall?
Glad you enjoyed your trip! Like most areas in Maine, it all depends on what town you move to and if you live near the coast or not. Maine is actually considered the most affordable state in New England!

Mid coast is a great place to live! This is a genialized video about some of the harsh realities we face in Maine but there really isn't a bad place to end up.

Reason four. Marxist state government.
You have that right. Unions control the state government. And the legislature is full of low IQ bureaucrats. High taxes and anti business mind sets. Even Senator Sue Collins is a flaming liberal (RINO), and independent Sen. Angus King an empty suit do-nothing. This state will collapse in n most areas as it has the highest average age of all states and young people on flock to Portland, a socialist city council at the helm. Grew up in Maine, and it's being trashed by liberals, immigrants, and anti business granola heads who produce nothing. I'm surprised they haven't put a bronze statue of Biden sitting in his beach chair asleep at the state house.
