Hello Susi
Love the simplicity of this sweet little block. Thank you for the tutorial.
I love this block and I love watching you sew. Thank you.
Love your vintage machine and all your organization!!!!
Hello Diane
That was so much fun! What a clever way of saving thread and getting more blocks sewn by running the rectangle blocks through the machine to finish off instead of cutting thread. Wow!
Hi Kathleen
Ty so much for sharing your beautiful creations with us! Your a genius press the open seams with your ruler first no more burnt fingers. I am so ordering your seam press!
OHHH, how I love that sewing machine!
5:58ish sewing the blocks together....Thank you so much for this amazing block. There are many amazing quilts ahead for all who watch this video and then make the quilt. Amazing.
Thanks Lori. I’m so glad I found you in TH-cam. Love your easy manner and explanations. Very taken with your design boards. They are in my list of todos. Many thanks.
Excellent. That's now a project on the to-do list. Wonderful.
Easy! Made 2 of these blocks yesterday. So glad you shared this because I've been sewing for nearly 5 yrs and have kept so many scraps awaiting the perfect idea. Love your featherweight and storage ideas. Please keep sharing!
I love your fabrics and your bright happy sewing room! I also love this block. So many blocks, so little time!
I have been sewing for many years, but not quilting that many. I began a quilt in the 80s and it still is not finished. I did not quilt any of those years since the 80s until recently. Most of the quilts I have made have been using rectangles and squares. This is an easier way to get triangles than doing half square triangles. I have done this stitch and flip method and can usually get decent results. I love your teaching style and you are so organized. I don’t seem to be able to work on more than one project at a time, so will give this some thought. Multitasking in quilting! Need to try this. Love your little stars. They are so happy looking. Made me smile! Look forward to more of your teaching videos! Thanks
Hi Kathy
I love how organized you are.. Thanks for sharing your tips.
Great to have a pattern to use my stash, especially now that demand for fabric has caused some shortages. I can use up some of my stash on this pretty quilt and later I can have fun replenishing my stash as fabric manufacturers catch up with demand. Thank you.
I cannot get over that she sews on a vintage machine so well! ❤️😘
Hi how are you
I have to say I LOVE this pattern. I just started making them with a plain white background and they are so lovely. Thank you Lori for sharing your pattern
This series has proven SO helpful to me! Whenever I need to use up scraps or find a quick multipurpose block, I come back to it! Thanks so much! ❤
What a cute hot pad the design will make. Thank you for sharing.
Love your tutorial, I have learned so much! I have always loved the 30ies fabrics because of the bright cheerful fabrics. Your style of quilts with the”happy colors” are beautiful! I look forward to all your shows! You inspire me, thank you for sharing your knowledge, and your tips to make quilting easier. Joyce Dietzel, Lindale Texas
Hi Joyce
You always make everything look so easy Lori😊 TFS
Love the Star block and the fabrics ❤️⭐️❤️
Hello Deborah
This video was just EXCELLENT!! You are a gifted teacher for sure. You have no idea how it helps a new quilter to see how you do things. I was blown away by the little tips (and I ordered the seam guide, seam roller and rulers immediately after watching. I have made two quilts so far, one rag quilt and one cobblestone. I'm doing FQS Jolly Roll Along and these are my first pieced blocks. They are more difficult and I need to learn the tricks of the trade. Thank you so much for taking time to make these tutorials! I know how busy you are and it is a blessing to have access to these!
I like your colors and your vintage things let alone the sewing projects.
I LOVE YOUR BASKET IDEAS! Within your first 30 secs of your vid,... I'm sold. Subscribing!
Hello how are you
Thank you for another scrappy quilt; I love your organizing tips too!
Thanks for sharing. This is called Mastering the art. You are so organized. Your method for assembling seems so easy. Excellent job.
What a cute block. I'm a beginner, so I appreciate all your detail.
My word! How neat! Love this star.
Hi Mary
This block is so much easier than I thought, I would love it with red white and blue and Christmas. I will give it a try. I just love these videos they are so calming and really give a feeling of how easy it can be. I need to get my iron closer to the stitching area. Thank you for sharing. I also order the rulers, and roller now that I know how to use it. I had the seem guide and can really see how it works so well as a guide, I used tape before.
I do enjoy watching you see!! Your products are lovely!!
Hi Debbie
Love your little flannel design boards
I could watch you sew all day...love all your patterns and tips and tricks! And...your notions and fabrics are pretty swell too!

Your scrappy series is so helpful in using my fabric up. 🌸💕 I’m going to organize myself the way you do to get the scrappy quilts done.🥰🌼🌺 yourself is all so cute, 💕Thank you, Lori.👍🏻🌺
Luv this block. I got tons of ur fabric so it going to be fun making this quilt.
Great tip on sewing the rectangles on each end. Thank you
love this series. Thank you
Hello Sharon
Love this block and thank you for explaining how you make the rectangle instead of leaders and enders. I use leaders and enders and this is a much better use of all that thread! I watched your FQS tutorial and you were using triangles and I loved it! This explains it so it finally clicked in my brain what they were really for! Thank you so much!!!
Hi Vicky
Wonderful tips and as always, great fabric!!!!
Can I just say... I love u... I want to make a quilt. And I am totally new to piecing. I have tried this star by half square triangle and it wasn’t neat. I made this and it turned out great!! I am going to make twinkle twinkle quilt for my mommy. Thank u.
Love this series. These blocks are so cute. Thank you 😊
Hi Sandra
Amazing tutorial, i just received my very first order from fat quarter shop with your beautiful fabric as well as rulers....and your sewing machine guide was back in stock yesterday at fat quarter shop, so of course i was able to do my second order .....i also ordered your paper pieces so that my daughter can learn to quilt just by sewing on your guided paper, thank you for such an amazing idea for new quilters......( so excited for my second order which is being shipped ....lololo....) i do wish more Canadian quilt stores carried your whole line of materials and notions( especially Saskatchewan/Alberta)......however Kimberly (fat Quarter Shop tutorials as well) has me addicted to her store now lolo...and thats okay.... so great full that we found both of your utube channels by accident during these trying times.....thank you and know that your tutorials are greatly appreciated......
