- In this video I show you how to make my Criss-Cross Star Block using
2 1/2" - 3 1/2" - 4 1/2" squares from my scrappy stash baskets and a variety of my Bee Backgrounds prints.
I show you my block in three different sizes so that you can decide which one is best for your stash....or maybe you will make all three like I did:)
I love piecing my easy Criss-Cross Star Block...it's the perfect stash buster for my scrappy squares and I hope that you will too!

I love this stash buster block especially since you do not have to worry about losing your star points. Many thanks for taking the time to do this video series. I have enjoyed it so much and learned a lot. This week, I am going to buy my buckets and start cutting up all my leftovers. I am shocked that they stack up so fast, but you have given me so many easy ways to use them up.

Love this. You rock my world. This is by far the easiest block ever and thank you no moving over to the cutting mat and using the rotary cutter. I think because I have so many very small mini charms I going to make the smaller 9 inch star blocks and then once I have enough of those use them in a large quilt with a panel center. Your style of sewing and explaining is great for us new sewers and quilters and being able to keep those points pointy is the goal. 😊

LOVE this block! Went for blacks and tans with Amish Black background for a "primitive" look!
3" finished tan print sashing and black/tan homespun checked cornerstones between blocks and inner border. SOOOO CUTE!

I just discovered this block used in a donation quilt [I'm the lucky longarm quilter that gets to see all the fun quilt tops, and quilt them]! Loved this pattern for all the "forgiveness" it offers & using scraps. Now it's time for me to de-stash the scraps in my studio & add a few tops [quilted of course :)] to the group collection. Cute blocks. I sew my cut off triangles into half square blocks using them as leaders and enders on other projects. Fast way to get blocks for a mini quilt. Trim to the same size before sewing them together.
