I completely agree. The "delusion" of learning, as you put it, is quite dangerous because it gives you a false sense of progress. I've definitely fallen into that trap. And this is one of the main blocks that I try to coach my language students out of. I love your rule of, "For every 1 hour I spend learning about something, I have to spend 3 hours doing."

I never knew how important books were until after I finished 7 years of schooling but all I read were textbooks. Now I'm obsessed with self help books for motivation!

Hey Stefan I just wanted to say thank you so much for this video. Very recently I’ve sort of lost my passion for reading self development books because I had the “I know that” mindset as well. Hearing the same similar thing over and over again on every other book and in a way wasn’t finding it very entertaining anymore and I didn’t realize that it was just my ego and needing to humble myself more. Since you mentioned being a student and how repetition IS mastery it got me to shift my mindset and humble myself like I should. So I just wanted to say Thank you thank you for putting all of this out there.

Thank you so much for the video content you create. I have mastered the art of getting books and reading. Great point about 1 hour of reading being equivalent to 3 hours of practice. Actually getting out and applying the knowledge is a key concept.

Hi Stefan, very valuable content. I hear you talk about the fact that we need to experience more and get involved with the process in order to get as much wisdom and results. The thing is that I feel like not many people talk about HOW to take action, and this is the actual thing which will get you forward in life. I think you should make a video talking more about breaking the resistance towards taking action. I never really mention those kind of things but it's just that you are literally one of the most genuine people on youtube that really cares to help us grow, and I really enjoy your way of teaching.

Great video, learning everyday and setting up methods to retain and use that knowledge is important for your development. Where I struggle is the learning of more technical forms of knowledge, such as SEO . I then have to seek out various experts, and find one that can explain concepts in a fashion that I can absorb. If not, I sometimes have to listen, read and note areas of confusion several times before my understanding is where it needs to be.
I would suggest narrowing down your priorities, then check what you can focus on and go for it. There's lots of resources out there!

After watching your video, I noticed you’re a solid business man in the stock market. I’ve noticed you’re big on Canadian banks and Canadian stocks like Aphria, ACB. I would suggest getting into biotech. My goal is to build on passive income through dividends but first I need to build up my bank roll like yours. You should become a professor.

The content of the video is awesome! The 20 million commercial breaks, not so much.
I could really see a parallel between the story about the dissatisfied seminar attendee and your experience as a young student. You took the teacher role in the seminar and the student role at school. In the seminar story you were baffled about the beginner attendee who found no value. Then in the school story your voice as the student was similar to that of the unhappy beginner and you offered ideas on how to open the eyes of students to the value of what they learn at school. It was interesting to watch that flow:)

Hi! I really enjoy your videos and value your advice. I’m not sure if this is an idiotic question but when it comes to investing I hear that consistency is key, however I’m a teenager who only has a summer job. I’m wondering, should I still invest what little I have even though soon I will be unemployed (to focus on school) and not have new income coming in therefore not allowing me to regularly invest and have a period of inactivity? Or should I wait until I have a secure long term job?
