I no longer have to worry about home defense since I left civilization behind to live in the woods. It's been fun. Foraging for food is a lot easier than I expected. Just recently, I found a whole bucket of fried chicken just sitting out in the open. There was even a table with condiments nearby.

I also have a similar experience. Most of the time I go to my tried and true spot and there is sometimes mayo everywhere, or pudding, sometimes gravy, and if I'm really lucky... THERES POUPON EVERYTHING!

Man, it got me thinking of some shots on clear gel with a fine layer of some coloured dust in front of it, with the high speed camera real up close
@John Stamper In my opinion, it's clearly coming out of the holes. The underpressure behind the bullet combined with the cavity in the ballistic gel opening up sucks dust of drywall in and blows it out to the other side.

The drywall dust flying all the way through the ballistic gel has some nightmarish implications as to what would happen if you got hit from the other side of a wall.

I live in Canada so we call it “bear defence” up here. Love your collection, Scott. That striker is sweet!
Also in Canada. My "bear" defense is a toss up between 50AE or 45-70.
Too bad there is no EV defense… don’t want those mobile fire hazards anywhere near my house. All it takes is one EV with a damaged, faulty, or ruptured battery and next thing you know every department in the county is being called just to contain it. EV fires can burn for up to 30 days, and still reignite even after being extinguished. They are literally more trouble than they are worth.

I’ve said it before, I think a trail/motion game cam would be pretty interesting to see what animals come out at night after the destruction of gallons of mayo, beans, nacho cheese, etc.
Edit: I’m from New Orleans - destroying Tabasco is sacrilege.
i bet the wildlife there is probable some of the best fed in the region. I 2nd the trail cam would be awesome.

The tabasco hurt me too and i am not even from louisana. We had little bottles of tabasco in our mre's when i served. Open the mre and if tabasco was dried out in the bottle then most of the mre was spoiled. The tabasco would usually dry before the pouches of food swelled noticeably so that kept me from eating a lot of spoiled food. I saved the tabasco bottles too, if we got a hot meal in the field then the half raw powdered and runny eggs could be eaten.

My personal favorite for home defense is my 1848/53 danish snider conversion. Chambered in 17mm danish(.69 caliber) black powder,works pretty well. Brown shorts factor comes into play. However, pinning a bad guy to the wall would be not only effective, but amusing. But the one home defense weapon Scott showed but failed to elaborate on was the 6.7 litre 7000 lbs guided missile he showed at the very end of the video.

That .500 magnum....they aim to please. I own one myself in the 7.5 inch PC model and love it; grabs attention every time at the range.
In honor of Adam Lanza I will target Chuck E Cheese! My men will dress up like Pennywise and the Joker and will use a Ruger Mini 14, a fully automatic Ruger 22lr rifle, a bushmaster XM-15 and a Glock 19 with a auto sear. They will also have a buck knife, a butcher knife, a machete and a hatchet just in case. Adam Lanza would have wanted this to happen. After this I will be doing a gun giveaway, no background checks or nothing.

Try shooting the large canned products laying down. Face them with the top or bottom round facing you. Just to see how the can explodes. Maybe it's different

I really like the S&W option. Revolvers are as reliable as they get imo. And if any home invader has any sense, hears that going off, he/she is running the hell out.

My favorite home defense weapon is the M32 Rotary Grenade Launcher

My top defense weapon is the one that hits before you even step to the door as my gases seep through the seals of my house to penetrate any nostrils who dares adventure too close. My crazy uncle is the only one who ever visits me and he's always saying, "Boii when I was in Nam you know even them jungles weren't as humid as damn right in here boy!"

I’d say just a small pistol is all that’s required for home Defense. A gun is a gun, and no matter what gun it is you don’t want one of its rounds in you.
