- If you are a fan of homemade rustic and crusty breads, then I can guarantee that you will love this simple but amazing bread. Nothing can beat the smell of freshly baked bread in my kitchen. With this easy to make, no knead and fool proof recipe, this is what I'm going to make every week from now on!
Don't have a Dutch oven? Give this a try with any oven proof metal pot with a lid and it works just fine!

Ingredients:
• 3 cups (about 400 - 450 g) all purpose flour
• 1.5 cups (about 370 ml) warm water (not boiling hot)
• 1 tsp dry yeast
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ tsp cast sugar

Brilliant! I love recipes where you can watch and read how it is done with having to listen to anyone blathering on and on. This recipe works great.

As it turns out, third time's the charm. Before I found you, I tried two other 'easy' & 'rustic' TH-cam bread recipes - and after a more complicated process, the results were... less than pleasing. But you are truly my Kitchen Knight in a Floury Apron! This recipe was the epitome of no-fuss, and the results were absolutely delicious. (Extra handkerchief throw in your colours for the Renfaire music in the background; that put a smile on my face before the bread did : )

Made this today, used 3 cups flour but needed a little more. My dough spread out and the finished loaf was a little more flat than I would have liked. But it had good crust and overall I was satisfied. This is a good recipe for any skill level. Try it today.

i used 1 cup white bread flour, 1 c white whole wheat flour, 1 c whole wheat and upped the water by about 1/4 c. and used 1 1/2 t. yeast and 1 1/2 t. sugar and 1t. salt. It is great and hearty, and good for tomato sandwiches. I have started doubling my adaptation of the recipe and keeping leftover dough in the refrigerator to bake fresh a day or 2 later, I have gone up to 3 or 4 with great results. . very easy!

I’m watching this video as a refresher. It’s been a few years since I’ve made a loaf of bread but I plan to today. What I have done in the past, but won’t do today is use hardwood fire in my charcoal grill instead of the oven. Preheat, and then when the flames die down it’s usually pretty close to 230C/450F. It takes more work and it’s finicky, but the flavor is worth the effort if you have the time.

I have now made this recipe roughly 20-30 times in the last year. I have yet to have 1 loaf that didn’t turn out. I now make this for my family as a Christmas gift, even my nephew has asked me for the recipe. Thank you so much for showing us this and how easy it really is!
Such a well produced video. Straightforward and to the point. No talking, music pleasant but not oppressive, clear instructions. This is the style of recipe videos I like best.
I am about to try this recipe. It is similar to another I’ve tried, but there are one or two minor, but perhaps significant differences. The one I’ve used before results in a bread that looks beautiful, but to me has a rather bland, flat flavor. I’ll report back later.

Did it and it turned out awesomesauce! I needed at least 1/2 cup more water (measured twice, cut once 😉 ) to the 3 cups of fluffed Robin Hood AP flour (not sifted). Juuuuuust a touch yeasty (Why does homemade always taste that way 🤔). Easy fix. Thanks!
Edit: I tried again with the suggested amount of water and quickly realized it was my mixing technique (I was waaaay too slow in mixing). That and a touch less yeast and... bingo. Perfect.
Note: I also did one with the lid off at the end, as per the recipe, and one with it on the whole time. It still cooked just fine still on, just a bit less golden. BUT!!! still just as che3wey and delish 😍!!!
