I have a Rebar with coyote brown ceracoat handles and black coated blades. I run it in a Clip&carry kydex sheath. I use mine mostly for urban use. It's a great tool. Nice scenery there. Thank you.
Yeah I thought it was good to show some legitimate field use. Those cutters work great, and if you chip them, you can get new ones to screw in for like 15$ 👍
Adorable dog, great review, definetly picking one myself. I definetly like the idea of a super simple multitool like this since I also dont like carrying a lot of stuff on me.
Nice video. I have a Rebar and love that it has LOCKING blades. The back of the saw is a great ferro rod striker, and doesn't collapse like those on non locking pocket knives. I also like to be minimal, and the nylon sheath mine came with has enough room to hold a 3 1/4" X 5/16" ferro rod (Thank you David West) inside along with the tool. Also, it has a very low profile which allows it to be carried (without the sheath) in my jean coin pocket. It's a very capable tool, and very easy to carry.
This is the best Leatherman with the perfect toolkit @ the best weight, only 6.6 ounces. It has all the same tools as the wave while weighing 2 ounces less, EXCEPT it has an awl and a smaller flathead/philips instead of mini scissors on the wave and a microdriver. Honestly the awl is way better to have than the micro driver, for outdoors use. I only wish the non-serrated knife was accessible from the outside so, but mine has come in clutch for years now. The rebar with a lightweight dedicated knife still weigh less than the wave or about the same. I've cut some pretty thick wire and plied some crazy things and it still looks like a new tool, probably why everyone loves LM
I LOVE to carry a lot of stuff! My EDC (which resembles a 9 months pregnant sweet potato) has 190 items in it. And it still fits easily into my handbag AND I created a loop to wear on a belt.
Nice review. I’m actually not a huge fan of Leatherman except for the rebar. They usually put stuff I’ll never use like eye glass screwdrivers and those weird flat bit drivers. I have given away or sold every one I have tried except for the rebar. I carried that thing for years as my main blade at work and put it through hell and it held up. I have moved to a small fixed blade for work but still carry the rebar on fishing trips. It pairs well with the Victorinox climber that’s usually in my pocket.
I’ve been thinking over the last part of a year which multi tool I want. I “want” the signal but I’m not sure about its features and how often I’d use them all.
@@thehobohandlinerI have the signal, and love it. The ferro rod is a soft one, but it and the whistle work great. They’re for emergency use though, so I have a main ferro rod. They do sell replacement rods and other mods on the leatherman site. The diamond sharpener is also great.
@zhemelkobusinessman2908 i think this is it! www.amazon.com/WESTLAKE-Ferrocerium-Survival-Starter-Striker/dp/B084SR3TGP/ref=mp_s_a_1_72?keywords=ferro+rods&qid=1700312872&sr=8-72
Oww thanks) Is that included striker works bad, yes ? The back of the saw on rebar I guess works better, because u use it instead of that striker. Yes?
Just got one today. It you look it is basically the Super Tool 200 re-issued. Very slight change to the shape of the file, and missing the thinnest flathead screw driver that always got twisted so it is no loss. Pliers are an upgrade due to the replaceable wire cutters. the 200 was my first Leatherman I ever carried. I have since gotten the 300, the Wave+. Charge, and Surge, so this is a step backwards for me.
@@thehobohandliner I had a new Rebar delivered two days ago, everything too stiff to open in spite of doing all the things in the vids. Got some one micron diamond paste coming this afternoon. So frustrating.
Finally a guy that actually uses the tool - as compared to the countless (useless) fingers on a table videos. Nice job here.
Appreciate it! This tool is awesome, carry and use it daily!
Agreed, I can't believe how many reviews I've watched or tried to watch where people aren't actually using the darn thing, thank you
@GodsservantJohn330 thanks!

Great tool, thanks!
You have the Coyote Tan version, yes?
The Rebar IS the best bang for your buck multitool ever.
Your little dog is a BEAUTY! She looks like a Corgi - she looks like she has a lovely personality.
I was really impressed with the durability of the saw and the wire clippers. Bitsy was a great bonus. I always learn something from your videos
Yeah those wire cutters are AWESOME
Great demonstration of using the Rebar on fencing wire/barb wire. I don't usually see this in reviews of the Rebar or of other Leathermans.

Great comment! I agree whole heartedly! Love my Rebar

I used to carry a lot more, just prefer much less now
If it is survival, the more options, the better. If weight is an issue, less useful items could always be discarded or hidden for later use.

Yeah the Rebar has been my favorite model. Barr bones while still getting it done!
Just got one and i Love it. Cool muti-tool and very useful and will get it again if i had to. Love your videos, thanks
Its a great tool, thanks!
Nice review sir
Great review and tests!

Dude, the signal looks freekin sweet. The only thing I personally am iffy on is that wee lil ferro rod

Thanks, gotta love the Rebar!
Awesome Multitool! I'm getting the super tool 300 in a few days for EDC but I'm sure i will buy the Rebar too someday 🤗😁👍
Its wonderful!
@@thehobohandlineri know man, Leatherman is just the best. I like that they have replacebel wire cutters - non of the swisstools have that !
@robertb.3651 i chipped them on a fish hook, replaced em and kept on trucking…. Any other tool woulda been practically ruined with permanent damage!
Good video. Thanks
Will the file on the rebar sharpen a cutting edge ( in a pinch). ?
Yup
Many thanks.
I feel a rebar coming on….
great intel. gracias. subd. HT🤙
Nice video, thanks)) Where did you buy that ferro rod ? Can you share the link please ?
I think i got it on Amazon.com
Ok, thanks, maybe you have a link or you don't remember ?@@thehobohandliner

That's not a real leatherman, it opens 😂
Haha good one! Yeah ive had the cutters get gummed up and sticky to open on a Wave before
