Drake is the musical equivalent of McDonalds. You enjoyed it when you were younger cause it was initially different from other restaurants, as you aged you realized that the formula was basic and slightly borrowed from other restaurants but we still consumed it because it was everywhere and now its at the point where the meal is repurposed but will never deviate from its origins because it still sells and is easy to make.

If Drake was a food he'd be tofu. By itself, pretty much tasteless and to some palates probably offputting in regards to texture - he's entirely dependent on what others add, or do with what he brings to the table to make him into something that is worth listening to, or taking any interest in. But unlike tofu, he sucks at writing.
And "I know you a cat, but can your pussy do the dog" is his artistic peak, he truly is a modern day Renaissance man.
I think we could fix a lot of this by forcing Drake into a contract that bans him from ever talking about women in his music again. At best it's awkward, at worst it's deeply unnerving.

For how out there the and depressing the album cover is, the actual material feels so phoned in and unserisous. It feels like Drake wanted to go in a darker direction but culled it to not risk isolating his target audience. Inauthentic through and through. 3/10.
