The reason why Jack Black is getting backlash is because he made a post in which he is distancing himself from Kyle after the trump joke, and people took it very badly as it felt like Jack just threw his friend under the bus just to keep his status and roles.
He's was going get backlash no matter what he did, by the fans for distancing with Kyle or by the MAGA crowd for standing with Kyle. He was in a lose-lose situation.
