    Hi again Tyrone... I bought a more powerful spring from a guy who engineers them specifically for the CP2 to save stretching.....
    If I did the 3rd mod on this video as well (less powerful spring)... Would this add yet more power? Or is it just one or the other

      You can combine the mods but the results will be determined by how well balanced the mods are. You might do 1 mod and then find less than desired results and then do the next mod and get more than expected. As the balance is better so better performance

      I have seen all the vids thanks... Just need the gun now then I'm ready to work on it... Would like to run the CP2 through a crony at some stage to see what it does, I didn't cut the thread off the valve casing to increase the volume, i used an 11mm drill and drilled towards the seal side and took about 5mm out then sanded the inside with a dremmel and some accessories, this worked perfectly and I shot 4 inches higher than before with all the mods... Even the trigger polish was a success.

What I can suggest is when loading up the action put your index finger as close to the action as possible and when pushing the action back in to load the pellet, maybe use your thumb to push on the shaft protruding at the back. @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it is a bit of a mixed bag. If you adjust your mags to work nicely they are really not bad. What I have found is use exclusively 1 or the other if you use mags, only use mags and you'll be fine as if there is any deformation on the pellets it would be consistent. However in the pursuit of ultimate accuracy you are probably better off using the single shot tray as Andy @AAR mentions.

      Do you mean the transfer port between valve body and breech/barrel? The brass part on the UK (6-ft.lb max pistol) fits the shank of a 9/64 drill. And which is loose on a 3mm drill. The trick is to align the valve and port with the drill shank before screwing the valve into position.

      @@jeffslade1892 thats true . But you also gain more Power without drilling the barrel Port. You will get more Power if you do drill. But for me its ok with only the 3mm brass port

    • @jeffslade1892
      @jeffslade1892 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@andreasnitsch8119 I think something got lost in translation. You contradicted what you said, "But you also gain more Power without drilling the barrel Port. You will get more Power if you do drill". Please explain again.
      I observed on my CP2 that the barrel breech block aligns perfectly with the brass transfer port, but that the brass transfer port does not align perfectly with the gas release valve unless a suitable tool (the shank of a drill bit) is used whilst fastening it into position with the screw. A set of imperial drill bits in 64ths is useful because they sit in between the metric sizes.
      The CP2 is already reasonably powerful by UK standards; I am getting pistol around 500fps from a medium pellet. Making it more powerful means the CO2 pressure drops more rapidly, which is detrimental to grouping. Some of the mods means only some 20 shots before the CO2 is gone; first and last shot will not be equal.
      From new, the gun actually benefits from being stripped apart, serviced, and reassembled meticulously.

      @Jc dupuy, the first mod I would advice is adding spacers into the hammer. It is the easiest to reverse as well. A 90mm spring (od=10mm wire=1mm length=90mm) you can go for it, it will have the same effect as stretching the spring to 90mm

    • @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner
      @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is very possible you will however need to order some of the parts from across the pond. There is basically 2 options.
      1. Is called a safepac which can be bought from Froggie in america but this is unregulated and low shot count
      2. Install avdrop block with a hpa/co2 bottle. This is the better option as the bottle is regulated and you will have a decent shot count. The drop blocks are manufactured by Sheldon Norris in the UK or Froggie in the US, there is many bottle with reg options the most common is Ninja bottles.
      These mods are common in the uk because of the low temps and the effect on co2. A couple of things to consider, you will need a fill source ie pump, scuba tank or compressor this is a minimum of R2000, more likely R3000+. The conversion will cost you upwards of $120 if you include shipping. Add that to the price of the CP2 you could have bought a PR900.

    Have you tried polishing the inside of the tube the hammer slides in?
    As supplied mine was pretty rough. Polished up with fine wet n'dry on a wooden mandrel driven by an electric drill. The hammer is a loose fit so it doesn't need to be mirror finish perfect, just so it can slide without hindrance and reproduces consistent shots.
    Without any other modifications, on the pistol barrel with silencer, first shot on a new CO2 went over 720fps and some ridiculous ft.lb. Subsequent shots dropped back to a respectable ~520fps and >5-ft.lb, and under UK legal limit.
    Personally I would rather have consistent power for accuracy over ultimate fps. Even with this little boost I'm still getting 40+ shots before the accuracy drops off. Personally I'm using it as an iron sights target pistol, although I'm far from a good shot.

      @@andreasnitsch8119 0.8mm is ridiculously small. Are we talking about the same part, the brass transfer port, the piece with two O-rings? The brass ring that fits between valve and barrel? Part No.27 on the parts diagram? A tiny hole like that would be as much use as a chocolate teapot.
      Buy a set of /good/ HSS imperial drills in 64ths. for example 9/64-inch is 3.57mm, many guns parts are sized in inches.
      My german is non-existent, so you have the better of me. However I have noticed many times that german-english translation can turn the meaning backwards.
