      @@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner 😜Sorry Tyrone 🙏😅. At the end of your video , I saw the Blue Star .22 pellet case, that is why I thought you were using it. But even yours is a .177 , the power is still outstanding . I mean it is not easy for a 4.5mm co2 ag to reach 800+ fps. Multi pump pneumatic and pcp is another story. 😂😂 l am sure a lot of ag lovers will follow your mods ! 👊👍

    I found the valve body can leak. The O-ring has to hold back nominal 850psi about 58 Bar. Dead clean, no pocket fluff, and silicone grease on O-ring and threads, not a lot, smear on with fingers and wash hands (not because it is nasty but it migrates everywhere, notably spectacles). When fitting an O-ring try not to roll it on but snap it in place so that it is not twisted, ping it like a rubber band. The valve is held shut by the CO2 pressure, so it is not prone to leaking but does like a hint of silicone grease on its seal. Never use anything harder than a fingernail on an O-ring, cocktail stick not a pin, they split and tear, or last 40 years handled right.
    The factory assembly was not clever but we can easily make it gas tight.
    I'm following this because I like what you're doing.

      @jeffslade1892 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@andreasnitsch8119 I have no idea of the fill pressure to keep it liquid but the vapour pressure of liquid CO2 can easily be looked up. 60 Bar is 870psig, but you would only see that on a very hot day. It would exert more pressure against the valve and so let less gas out, and so a form of self-regulation.

    Thank you Tyrone for your explanation. Today I drilled my artemis cp2. 22. I used a 4mm drill and drilled with a drop of motoroil. When it was done I noticed a burr on the edge of the hole in the inside of the barrel. I took a watchmaker file and carefully filed it away. The hole in the co2 valve had the same problem. The file fixed it . After this sanded with grit 600 and cleaned everything with brake cleaner. Everything works and tomorrow is testing day.

    And so I'm back again.
    I'm planning to do a bit more tinkering with my 4.5mm soon. So far I've put a 7mm stack of washers inside the hammer, and I've also run some sandpaper through the action tube. I'm a bit hesitant to make the portwork larger, as you might remember I've already had issues with pellets/slugs sometimes catching against the port. Someone suggested with my Sig Spartan pistol that I should turn the valve stem down a bit to let more gas past the stem (not the entire length of course, haven't done it yet), what do you think of that on the CP2? And does cutting the valve body make a significant difference, or is it just for more consistency from one shot to the next?
    Also, it seems you used a spacer and stretched spring together here. So I take it that's safe to do then?
    As for the Spartan I mentioned, do you have any suggestions for the valve outlet size? It's a CO2 blowback BB pistol, firing straight out of the mag. Factory spec is 410fps, which is supposedly 3.1J. And reviews point to that advertised velocity being pretty accurate (if not understated). I'm not worried about shot count, as emptying the canister is already a bit of a schlep.

    • @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner
      @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Johann, I don't know the spartan at all. You can turn the pellet probe down a little as long as you don't go to far back and prevent the pellet probe from sealing. You can stretch the spring and put in spacers.

    • @johannkuhn5685
      @johannkuhn5685 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner I was referring to the stem inside the valve. When the hammer hits the end of the stem and forces the seat open, the gas has to blow past the stem to get to the other side (where the port is). So the idea is to turn the stem close to the seat so it has more clearance for gas to blow past. But of course the end of the stem must remain its original diameter, or the gas will escape.

    • @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner
      @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      In theory I suppose it could help but I think you might run into a problem with the stem perhaps bending which will cause the valve to become less consistent

    • @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner
      @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MWCars firstly you won't make a mistake going for the Artemis CP2. What is your plan with the rifle? Plinking, target shooting or a spot of hunting? If you are going to do hunting I would say go for the 5.5mm except if your range is going to be 15-25m then I would go for the 4.5mm. For mostly Plinking and target work, I would go 4.5mm as the pellets are cheaper so you'll get to shoot more. The mods will work on both equally as well

      Try a pcp rifle that's .45 to .50 calibre. You can kill almost everything. lol@@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner

    Переделал в рср, теперь и доска в 30 мм, на 10 метрах, не предел :). Скорость 1.0 грамм, 270, 1.5 грамм, 255. Хорошая штука. Толькo z- клапан и немного мозгов применить. Добавил колбу 0,25. Всё веселье, обошлась в 200 баксов, не более :).

      Thanks @HS Knives glad you enjoyed the video, I get around 15 shots but I have a few additional mods. What fps are you getting from your CP2/Chaser

      @@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner i gave my old one away to a fam.member. I Just started over and as im sending this massage im reassambil my cp2 😁 on this one i drilled all holes to 4.2 mm, on the vaulve i left about 6,5mm of treads and counter sounk the inside, i pollised the inside part of the "pipe" where the hammer slides, pollised the hamer, pollised the trigger and streched the hammer spring from 7cm to 10cm. Im going to test it tommorow but i dont have a chrony so have no idea how much fps its going to shoot.

      Awesome I think you are going to get plenty of juice from that, is it .22 or .177

      I think with those mods and 14.5gr pellets I would say around 700 -750fps. Maybe try out chrono connect app. Nice, what you using it for?
