I love the way Ian and Jack interact together, there like a happily married couple that know what the other is thinking. What a great team and I just love the van. Cheers, Stuart 🇦🇺
Can't wait. For part 2. You and Jack are on the same page. The vehicle is going to look fan tas ic!!. I would love to take the finished. On a test thrash, sorry. I meant, test drive.
I had a similar concept except it's based on a A100 van, with nose extended 6 inches (except header), body widened 10 inches, body lengthened 24 inches, windshield racked and lengthened, headlights removed (body contoured), modified 1968 Toronado grill assembly, custom side moldings shape to match grill turn signal extensions, roof replaced with custom top that includes Toyota Corolla popup headlights, Toronado drivetrain and other custom exterior and interior features. ;-)
As soon as Jack said he worked with Barris back in the day, everything made sense. If he worked with Barris, there is nothing you can do to a car that would make him balk - as long as it looked cool.
I had one of those inversion contraptions that hang you upside down. Great for the back unless you own a dog. Theodore (T-Bone) saw that as a great face lick opportunity. Contraption gone; Teddy still here.
Totally like the build in the direction it’s going, but I definitely would’ve got rid of the straight axle and put a independent front suspension on it. Better ride.🛠🇺🇸🛠
Even Ian's own channel does not do as well as this, because of the video editing and set up of the show. Proper documentary skills will always make successful shows.
Ian i gotta tell you man , its unfair to show the finished truck driving around and painted and not have the second part of the build video posted, you already have US hooked with the mods you make and the old school custom gear-heads you bring into the shop to show US the old ways, LOL however i digress you have a lifestyle that i grew up in and around, my father was a well known custom mechanic and fabricator in Oregon, he did a lot of work for the Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance Car Show and was couted 2x's for indy turning both offers down, and even though he was a one man show, the way you build these masterpieces is the way my old man did, there was no high tech it was cut fit and check everything twice and fabricate by blood sweat and tears outta your own shop...oh the stories , crap am i showing my age .... nuff said
How about finish one project you no people are interested in instead dribs and drabs of many with no consistency to what's happening. Found some other really good fabricators that I watch now such a shame I really enjoyed your shows
Owner has a damaged back. This post military rig has no comfort. It gets -- at best --- 10 miles to the gallon. It is a project that has no benefits for the owner or his wife. His health is his not only bad. But this rig will destroy his back.
You're Flex that front four pan a little when you jumped on the front end after changing the Springs over but I have no doubt you we'll catch it before the end of the video😂
Ian, you're the only one to do this. Ultimately, it's going to be a one of a kind masterpiece...
Jack is bringing Ian into a whole new era of Full CUSTOM
Your crazy and I am so glad
❤
Jack gets a Full Custom!!!!!!! I love it!

got 2b a SA
I will say that Ian has vision beyond most mortals...
Ian Roussel is a metal work genius I’ve been following him for some time now just never fails to amaze me
WOW! What a TON of work. This video makes it look easier than what I'm sure it really was.
First time I’ve seen Ian freaked out on cutting up a car 😂😂
I cracked up at "I Think We're Engaged Now".😂
Sculpted...A real creative kicker. Love it!
Ian, your work is sublime & Jack has so much knowledge & a great eye for detail 👍👍👍
Construction of destruction OH! My .I'm with you I like it as is.Good luck Ian .
Thanks for sharing 👍😀

You are awesome Ian
Awesome!!
This is wild, can't wait to see part 2

That is Ian in 30 years from now
Hope to be still alive to see it!

This is a great video!
I can see where this is going its awesome man such a cool build the more radical the better in my opinion
Will wait for part 2
Franken Van .Jack is the mad scientist .
Thanks for dicking around mart love it
Im sure this guy is off his medication 😊

Pretty cool looking good almost there take care later.

What a Ute.
The photo you saw was a station wagon. The cab was the rear of the wagon if that makes sense and it had nothing to do with your van
I would use a ribbed roof from a late model van
Chevy are the Yankees and Ford are the Southerners.

Ian should make a T bucket with the KFC bucket.
I think ford already made an Econoline,
Ok, look at the KFC bucket, picture the Colonel's bow tie as being his "stick figure" body. You'll never unsee it.
Way too many commercial interruptions brother.
I just don't buy Ian starting this build and not realizing Jack wont fit, i imagine he worked that out b4 he started and what to do about it

too bad corvair beat him to it.

They destroyed a rare vintage truck
Totally ruined this truck
Ruined a classic

Ruined a decent little truck, so I’m stupid senile old man I guess growing old gracefully is. Out of the question
