This show demonstrates a level of creativity beyond what you usually get, not just installing new parts, but making them and in fast practical approach on a entire budget that most people can relate to.

This truck turned out great! Really dig it, and the 'cab over' feel these have is still right there, and that's the fundamental charm/interest in these bodies for me.
I really would like to mention though that, the general amicability of you and your customer and fellow there is extremely refreshing, and that this genial discussion and banter made this video very watchable!

Ian. This is automotive art at its best, you and Jack created something really unique! I saw the Deora several times when it was new, this is a fitting semi tribute. Awesome job! Trip to see Gene was the whipped cream on top! Hes 20 yrs older than me and still kicking it out. So glad he's still well and active. I love to watch you work, taught this old dog some new tricks. ❤

This was one interesting video. Start to finish, what wonderful ideas. A work of art, as stated. Only trouble I had with the video is way to many commercials to interrupt watching it. I watch different builders and I am always amazed at how they build their projects in different ways, but always end up with that finished work of art.

That black fade in the paint is just what it needed. Only thing I would change is those headlights, go with some HID projectors, maybe black housings. On my personal vehicles, I gotta have good lighting for any night driving.

Very cool build gentlemen. I really like the somewhat shortened format. On Tv it would have been a multiple episode show. My Grandpa had a mid engine/ cab over front ( IDK wha to call it) that he could tow cars with. It was so cool with the side tailgates. I love any and all of these things. Very Cool!!!

I am making a small two seat speedster that looks like the sports car that Packard never made. It takes so much time to get “right”. I wish there was money to hire great people to help create a great and very interesting design. The biggest challenge is to keep going. Some days are hard and others just fly by.

Hello Hello From Canada!!! I don't usually subscribe to a channel the first time I visit, but this was a killer project. I love the final look and I'm so glad he saw the vision with the paint scheme. The window details were so nice and defining that I wish he would have let you do a darker fade down on the lower half. Keep up the awesome ideas and I can't wait to see what you work on next.

I've worked with a few old guys like that. While he's not lookin' you work fast, work long, get as much done as possible, so maybe he won't change anything. Some folks think too much and, especially now that I'm an old guy, I know old guys just have to overthink things and mess with a plan. At least he's more patient than I was with some of the old guys I worked with.

The Dodge vans from back then had these really deep contours on the sides which followed back from the placement of the headlights.
I always wanted to get ahold of one and fill those in, making a super smooth side look.
That, of-course means reconfiguring the headlights, which, the sky is the limit on.

Frenching is the act of recessing or moulding a headlight, taillight, antenna or number plate into a car body to give a smoother look to the vehicle. The name originates from the end result looking like a French cuff of a shirt sleeve, which has a ridge at the end.
