I was a mechanic in the Marine corps and I worked on these trucks that looks fantastic and totally fits the bill. Not only did you hit it right with the build but you made it look like it should have been in the military running guys around. This is totally ready for any military show. I have wanted one from the day I got in. But this thing takes the cake and can go anywhere. I sure hope the owner gets to enjoy it and has had the opportunity to take it out in the countryside.. Great job!!!

God bless you John thank you for your service, Ian you are one amazing human being the things you do for other people is amazing you're another Picasso in disguise making John's dream come true 😊. You make it look so very easy the narrating that you do between building makes me feel like I'm watching you from within the shop. John is a lucky man and very deserving of what you have done for him.😊

Dude just started watching, this is the second video ive seen. Your awesome, I watch a lot of car building shows and love how cool calm and collective your videos come out. When your cutting metal its not so loud you have to turn the volume down. Everything is perfectly done which makes watching totally enjoyable.
So who ever is doing your camera work give em a slap on the sholder for a good job! And looking forward to seeing your next creation Ian, again your awesome!

I have had several (7) military vehicles. The one thing I always have to explain is, "It's a guy thing". I miss everyone one of them. I was like a kid in a candy store in Vietnam with all the neat stuff I had access to as an engineer. As a civilian collector unfortunately life and lawyers get in the way sometimes. I am currently restoring a 1946 CJ2a that would probably fit in the glove box of this truck. AWESOME

I bought my 1st. military truck from John back in Dec. of 1995, it was a Chevy G-506 1 1/2 ton Cargo 4X4. Two years later, I found a correct bed for it and Ian did some sheet metal work on it. I haven't seen John since 2002 and Ian since 2014. I'm tripping out right now, but it's good to see that they're both alive and kicking!!

Great video. My heavy artillery unit 5/22 Arty 175 8" had the Duece and a Half M35A2 with Command Center. We used in at Ft Irwin on the Mojave Desert in California then took it to the Central Highlands of Vietnam. We ran our battalion Command and Fire Direction control center out of the box while stateside (Summer of 1967) then initially at AnKhe, Vietnam in early 1968. A dependable multi fuel vehicle. The unit moved regularly, with and without the vehicle depending on the location of our next position.

I was in Evac & Recovery in 70-73.
The one I hauled a M-88 Tank Retriever into the Field had a crazy firing order. Sounded like one bank fired in a row then the other.
Our Radio Van was split in the middle and the sides cranked out doubling the inside...o~`o

Another amazing build. I have a project in mind (smaller than what would fill an episode) but I live in NC and bringing it out to you on the West Coast would be a wee bit problematic, as they say, for me. When you find a craftsman that can truly work with their clients AND has a cool Pittie as well, you can't go wrong.

The only problem is that now you may have to start reproducing these Military style RV's. I can see this going crazy for the tiny home group. Imagine pulling up to a camp ground in one of these. Let the dog's out and set up the bar'b'que.

Had an M-123 with full time 6X6 hi/lo 5spd with a a "Married" Transfer Case. Used to haul wild Cattle out of the forest with that old girl. I like Mack's 1st 123 A I believe. 5X4 Mack RQ 720 and the RQ 718. & the E-9 V8 aka the 440 because they came out with 440 hp.
I grew up with Big Rigs because Daddy drove for Parker Ranch.
    Daddy was their Fleet Examiner.
Nobody drives for the Ranch unless they go through Daddy and I'm Daddys Little Girl!!! I went everywhere with him and learned stuff they don't teach you in school. How to tie down a load of freight headed to the Parker Ranch warehouse. And steel for the welding shop...
How to chain down a bulldozer to the Lo-Boy trailer. Hauling water and of course Cattle. I learned 1st hand from my Daddy. And Daddys Little Girl became a truck freak.
Ian Roussel you got some serious skills!!!!
