I'm gob-smacked at what Ian has done with Victor's ideas & Lino put the Icing on top, just brilliant. It's a rolling advert for what the Guys can do 👍👍👍I have to add-Victor is a Man in a Million, what other Boss do you know who does something like this for one of His employees? 👍👍👍
Like the Car ,, the fabrication is way solid , paint is Killer ,, Can't say enough good things about it ,, the owner will take care of it I'm sure ,, Nicely Done Sirs 👍
Hi Ian, I have watched you first on the tv and now on the tube. I'm 73 and am a retired certified master mechanic. (Or was I should say) As a retiree I have plenty of time on my hands but, am no on the disabled list due to being a mechanic. Seems that bending over a fender for 8-10 hrs a day ain't so good fer the body. Dr said big words like accumulative damage' Whoda thunk dat huh? Well anyways now I do the you tube stuff and build guitars as a hobby, then there's fishin' here in Fl west coast! LOve your work and absolutely love when you n Victor get together. Loved that comic book VW ya'll did a few yrs back. Wanted you to hear the praises cuz you deserve em. Plz bring the wifey n Victor on more as they bring out your talents even more. Praise the Lord for life and Keep my U-Tube favs safe and healthy. PS don't use your head to hold up automatic tranny's when r n r in um, does your neck bad too! Adios amigo!!
Both of your cars are brilliant, I thought the Packard hit out of the park, I was sorry to see it taken apart, I would have liked to see you use another Packard for this build. Im sure you guys had your reasons, the mercury packard build is also beyond amazing, your amazing, right up there with the people you idolized, im so glad I found this show, you truly know how to put things together, you and Victor work well together with ideas, you make it happen, thank you, ive learned alot, mostly your attitude about things.
great show nice work , but i have to say ,,,,,i love this guy VICTOR ,,,, he's got some good ideas of how a car should look ,,,, and i like it . thanks VICTOR can't wait to see your future projects and this one finished . CHEERS from Australia 😎🦘🦘🦘
😮 WOW!!! Awesome build 😎. I happened upon this Platform while I was in & out of sleep & I've never seen this show & I get this 💥BAM! & then another 💥BAM!!!😮 & I'm now really awake because I'm drawn into the adventure this cool build is taking me. Then as an Artist at the Mall putting on one of those neat shows where they put different blob's of paint on the canvas, 🤔,then begin pulling & mixing together the various elements until everyone is aw struck & blown away, intoxicated by the sheer beauty of the artist creation.😮! I subscribed. 👍 I really like my new find. Exquisite Show. This is going to be fun thank you. Yeah, I subscribed.😎👍
I love your custom Packard Super coolI was at a car show several years ago and there's a guy that would have 30 Packard Street Rod motor trans around with Packard body show is Packard but everything else is missing it was nicely done everybody thought oh my God you were ruined a 30 Packard because don't be stupid I found this kind of field what you see is what there was and I just went through it all and painted everything and made it nice so then people are cool with it it was super cool it's only 30 Packard Street right I ever saw have a great day Packers are getting hard to find even at the end of production ones have a great day I'm glad you did this keeps me inspired
53 Packard Mayfair 2dr hardtop sitting outside the shop awaiting its turn. It will loose the roof and get restyled into a roadster. But I'm not going to hide the car's lines and styling that make the car unique. If I wanted a Merc, I'd buy a Merc.
Rob!, this is a question for you to ask about your thoughts on your pro- driver Tanner! I hope I have his name right. He is my choice for being #1 in my assessment of great drivers. He taught a blind man to park a high performance car. D
Stay tuned for our next episode where a a 1964 Volkswagen bus will be turned into an awesome hotrod so we can sell it to this guy to convert it into a Mercury......then immediately followed by an episode of a ww 2 jeep brought back to it's former glory then it's sold to this guy and converted into a Mercury........then a we'll take a moped and........
Wow , always great to see all this work, but why in the world did you guys chop up that great looking finished / driving Packard, when you could have just got a cheap shell from a bone yard for a fraction of the price? Just hurts my brain …
mR iAN you are one of the best prehistoric car builders that I have ever seen your building skills are right up there with Boyd Coddington. He was very good at building Hot Rods and you should know of who he is one of the best in the business of building Hot Rods so please take this as a compliment please with no deisespect to your building skills I really love how you talke nothing or something that has no value and put it back up there with little or no money and make it a one of a kind Gem. I really pray that you are recognized for your talent and that you live a good and blessed life in Jesus name I ask amen thank you for your video's and I really do pray that you live a good life and as long as the Man that chip course take learned from i do believe that it was Boyd Coddington he was desing cars for before he decided to go out and try to out do Boyd Coddington professional and really one of a kind builds and try to complete with him and put his company out of business God rest his soul Boyd Coddington is the one I'm speaking of okay you are under his professional ways okay thanks I have said enough thanks again Charles Williams really love your work place just be safe at what ever you are doing in your life okay thanks again Charles Williams your number one fan bro later on God bless you and your family okay once again Charles Williams.
Those "Victor-builds" always end in crab! Sorry for that, but I am still upset and angry about the killing of the beautiful Packard lead sled, that was perfect as it was, and turning it into something Mercury-like and wasting all the stock parts, the work done to fit all four door frames to follow the new roof-line, installing the modern drive train and sending the stock inline six to junk!
Yep, what a waste. All thos "Merc builds" end up being the same. It's been done to death at this point. Getting difficult to find an unchopped one at this point 🙄😒😔
Its hard not to be an armchair hero on this subject matter,.. my opinions to follow are just that,. Im not here to spark anything else but perspective,.. the car is too long to not have chrome trim follow some of the body contour lines,. not to mention the paint can not hide all the ripples and waves that the flat primer may have seemed to. front bumper too thick and not tapered just makes me think of Gilbert Godfried !! its possible that one dark color could have been set off by a two tone,.. I dont know,.. it just looks unfinished to me. and here is one more vision,.. pushing that roof - line forward - WAYYYY forward .... Plus a visor in polished stainless or at least leading front line... Ok there my 2cents ,.. I will close with,.. I can totally appreciate all the skills and hard work that create a vision,.. as I stated above its just a perspective,.. and my perspective it that this car is not finished....
Just once I would like to see “Instead of making this a 2 door, why don’t we suicide the rear doors and then shave the handles so that it has that super sick 50 drag sled look?”
While the finished product is an awesome car, of course it is, because everything Ian builds is awesome! Buuuut, why hack up the original FINISHED creation just to have almost none of it left after reworking? He could have just started with another Packard donor. I know from another episode that his buddy already had a two door. I just don't see the advantage of tearing apart a just finished hotrod to build a completely different one that doesn't even resemble what you started with. Especially when there is so much other sheet metal out there to start with. Victor just seems like one of those guys that has more money than sense. I bet he dropped $200k+ on this ride.
personally, I don't like two door cars. I was in an accident years ago and I was in the back. I was badly hurt, and the Ambo's couldn't get me out. They had to cut me out. Ever since then I have shied away from two doors.
Now, this is how to make a reality show ( no BS soap opera ). All good content , thanks for sharing, and special thanks to Ian
Ian , you and Victor are a team to recon with...Look out world ...the team of Victor and Ian is here
Ian and Vic make a great team. Craig is one fortunate man. 👍
Like the Car ,, the fabrication is way solid , paint is Killer ,, Can't say enough good things about it ,, the owner will take care of it I'm sure ,, Nicely Done Sirs 👍
The front reminds you of mercury but still a little different, the whole car is unique. Really nice work
My sincere congratulations! I would never have this super patience with someone telling me what to do.
I have a feeling the payout is more than worth the patience not even including the show money
That car is just out of this world. It's beautiful. Lovely job.
Unbelievable vehicle I'm sold.👍
One unique absolutely fine ride.

Amazing Transformation... Only Ian... Thanks for Sharing
I loved it as a Packard custom.
Looks like a real LED SLED ! I dig it.David in Texas USA
It’s super cool, and I hate to be that guy but…. A painted to match exterior sun visor with the chrome trim on it would be the cherry on top. 💯🔥
Car looks awesome! Y’all did a fantastic job on this car.
Another perfect job so smooth looking a definite cruiser right on the money!

I may be in the minority, but I loved it as it was. Don’t see too many custom Packards. Now it just looks like another Merc.
Angels.."No Secrets" in your elevator music selection...hope you listen to the original ...🍻🍻Stevo..👍
Last night when I woke up around four in the morning lol
Rob!, this is a question for you to ask about your thoughts on your pro- driver Tanner! I hope I have his name right. He is my choice for being #1 in my assessment of great drivers. He taught a blind man to park a high performance car. D
How did they do the glass in the doors
How do you access the rear wheels to remove them for servicing?
The client let’s you go a step forward and then two steps back
Stay tuned for our next episode where a a 1964 Volkswagen bus will be turned into an awesome hotrod so we can sell it to this guy to convert it into a Mercury......then immediately followed by an episode of a ww 2 jeep brought back to it's former glory then it's sold to this guy and converted into a Mercury........then a we'll take a moped and........

If Victor wanted a Mercury why didn't you buy a Mercury instead of buying the guy's packer to destroy it when that car was a gift from dude 😎
take off the shock bottom bolt. itll drop lower. how i change my tire. its the price to play

THAT THING SCREAMS FOR 50 OLDS HEADLIGHTS WITH THE AIR VENTS UNDERNEATH ,AND AN 50 OLDS GRILL BAR!!
Awesome show guys.
✌🏻😊

Always admire your resourcefulness Ian, Victor too but this ride has lost its proud Packardness. Maybe Victor should have chose another Merc.
Just once I would like to see “Instead of making this a 2 door, why don’t we suicide the rear doors and then shave the handles so that it has that super sick 50 drag sled look?”
Классно поженил две машины в одной.

The scoops on the side of the hood makes it look like it's got nostrils
Helm yeah good looking ride very cool b day president
Next time Victor give him a little bit more lead weigh
I would love to get an old ford or dodge snd let him chop it and flan it
Why does the Side of the unpainted car look like it has a face on it????
......now put it back the way it was.....
Put a fog light in the bullet
🤔...Sorry but the grille doesn't look good at all going up in the middle....it should be strait across... other than that it's Kool...🤙🍷😎
Why the hell would you take the car to his shop to his shop when all your tools are at your shop?
I wish he would not have cut the wheel opening up, because when it was raised up you would see the entire wheel , that’s the only thing I didn’t like
100 gallons of bondo later...😞😞😞😞
personally, I don't like two door cars. I was in an accident years ago and I was in the back. I was badly hurt, and the Ambo's couldn't get me out. They had to cut me out. Ever since then I have shied away from two doors.
tiny tires...😅🤣
