This feels so good. Similar to the other rotator cuff video but also different 😊
Thank you for sharing these exercises! 😊 Long time mainly my upper body is quite stiff and somatic movements help!
You're welcome! Try the following two videos and see if they help your upper body feel more relaxed supple:

@@LearnSomatics Thank you!
Great movement for my neck and upper back. Thanks!
This one feels awesome, thanks Colm!! 😊
excellent thank u
Love this one Colm, really hits an area I've been trying to release for a while! My right shoulder/upper back gets very tight and painful from using a mouse at the computer for long periods of time - probably stuck in internal rotation?? Anyway, great video as always, thanks!
Hi Helen, glad this one helped. Pro-tip: You could do this while seated a at your desk periodically throughout the day. Give that a try and let me know how it goes.
Hi Colm! Is this the best one for the nerve issues that violin players have with neck and hands?
Hi Barb, it would depend on the person but they certainly wouldn't hurt!
Thanks, Colm - I'm giving it a try - should help. Somatics are quite amazing - your teaching style is so helpful - I find after doing Arch and Flatten for several months, I'm just realizing that I initiate the movement with neck and front muscles and have to really concentrate to feel my back doing anything! Thanks for the bite-sized lessons, and hope to take your class someday!
@@barbfiddlingletteringdanci2442 On your arch and flatten, try doing some curling movements to release your front first. Then your arching should feel easier.
@@LearnSomatics thank you - I'll try that!
Not yet best one for my nerves, but, that's , ok ? Thanks
The second time i did it at the end i extensionded the legs as i n your corkscrew movement.
Excellent ! Would this release the bicep muscle ? My upper arm area feel quite heavy
Hi Naveen. Maybe a little bit, for bicep more directly you'll need to bend the elbow and slowly release tho.
@@LearnSomatics thanks Colm !
Yes i need even more neck, shoulder front and back and my wrist/ obligations.,bit never seems to be enough for me!
cant you do both hands at once!?
You sure can, it's a fun exploration. Try it and let me know how it goes.
@@LearnSomatics you know me i always try, but, movements on the sides can be challenging., but, as you Colm" blow out the brain"
A challenger for the brain?
Is there a reson you do not do both ärms.
felt more pain in the forearm
Check out my latest video for Elbow pains then retest this one, it should help, here it is: th-cam.com/video/zJutbN8W1Yw/w-d-xo.html
I'd also recommend my full shoulder pain sequence, it covers the entire shoulder: th-cam.com/video/WlP8b2emum4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching.
He has wrist and forearm somewhere.
It helps some.
