  • 99% of the vinyl I use on my channel is Specialty Materials Brands I have tried many kinds over the years, and they are my absolute favorite. The quality is top-notch, I have a video where I wash a shirt 50 times, and the vinyl still looks brand new. • Thermoflex vs. Siser: ... They have the most extensive range of products and colors around ( there are over 90 colors in the ThermoFlex Plus and GlitterFlex Ultra lines alone). They also offer free product samples on their website, which you don’t see anymore. Trust me, request a sample because if you try it, you will know why I love it.

This was a life saver. Worked perfectly! I made some cotton dishtowels with cute sayings and one of the letters got messed up on one towel. Towels are 100% cotton. Then, I was admiring a project I made the other day that was glitter vinyl on polyester. There was a spot that I had not weeded. I took it to the iron which was pretty cool (having used it a few moments earlier to remove the messed up letter on the dishcloth.) I plugged the iron back in and touched the spot on the polyester pillow on the "not too hot iron" and it came off just like magic! So, if someone has a blend fabric, I would try on the lower setting recommended for your fabric and bring the temp up incrementally until the vinyl let's go! Thank you Betsy! I love your channel!

i thought HTV is tougher and melt into the fibres but as a beginner i made a test and heat pressed small fonts from 5 different HTV brands to a shirt to see how durable it is. I planed to wash it every day but after the 2nd wash i noticed some curling on the edges of the small fonts, this was chemica hotmark HTV, a very thin material of 55 micron. So i tried to rip it off when it was still wet from the washing machine and i was able to rip it off with a medium force i would say. And i was able to rip all the other HTV from different brands off as well, i am a bit dissapointed and i thought the HTV would melt into the fibres permanently but it isnt the case, it seems to only bond slighly with the glue on the fibre. Off course you need some force to do it and i ripped off some fibres of the shirt as well but it wasnt sticking that hard. Maybe it was because it was wet i dont know, maybe its normal and my expectations were to high. I even pre pressed the shirt and give it a quick 2nd press. I mean it was a Stahls heat press i checked with an IR thermometer. One thing i noticed is that when you cutting settings are not good, the cameo tends to rip more instead of cutting which lead to tiny curling off the HTV Vinyl around edges, i think the hot glue of the HTV will bond not good on those parts, maybe i am wrong here. The cut settings i received were all to much, it was blade 2 force 12. With blade 2 force 3 it was much better, i guess i could even go to blade 1 force 14 or something like that. greetings from Germany.

I'm so glad I watched this before I needed it! I watched it just in case I ever needed it. Then one day I was pushing the limit of getting an order out on time and lo and behold I put 3 number 6s onto my shirts as 9s instead😱 but they came right off with this method!!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I have a lovely Bella+Canvas shirt with a full front design that I ordered before I started making, and the seller used a terrible, cheap HTV. I was about to try using my heat press to remove it today, but this will save me so much trial & error time. TH-cam recommendations was reading my mind! 😂😂😂

man are you awesome, thanks for this i ruined by burning a back design on a customer's tee and this saved it .
on another note the reason why i burnt the design was that my press isn't functioning at all , if i say set the temp to 300 f it does heat up to that degree the counter runs up quickly too 300 and the output light comes off, when i go into the c-f settings and press and hold down 'c' the output light would come on and the press would just get hotter and hotter but the minute i press settings again, the light comes of and it will bring to cool right down way past the 300 smh . i've given up decided to us the press to put everything on and then go over with an iron cuz i don't know what else to do and i can't buy another press ATM
