Helpful hint. If you apply rubbing alcohol to the glue, let sit a bit, then rub with a clean cloth, the glue residue will come off. No washing needed. Just an idea that I got from a pro lettering shop.
When you say alcohol I’m assuming u mean spirits, my original R9 Barca shirt melted in my wardrobe so it’s time to operate :/
@@callumroberts8033 No. Rubbing alcohol, as from a pharmacy (disinfectant). This was advice from a jersey customizing store.

@@vaporman5153 I don't believe hand sanitizers could work. You need to rub the rubbing alcohol to dissolve the glue. Sanitizer is too gel like. Just my opinion. My understanding and trial is rubbing inside the garment under the vinyl/glue, lifting it up, then on to when the lettering and glue are pretty much gone completely. Hope this may help.

only one way and that is vlr. Its 25 dollars and it worked perfect. I had to remove "fc bayern munich" from the top of the jersey because I was making a champions league kit, and for bayern in the champs the name is at the top. Although when I removed it, there was heat marks from when the vinyl was heated on the jersey. To fade it, use a iron on full setting and put a cloth over it, use water in the iron and steam it.

Thanks man! I struggled to remove the letters with the blade but moving the iron on the letters with light pressure helped.
No problem - glad it helped. Yeah, removing with a blade isn't the best option as it's not only more difficult to do but will also leave a more visible stain on the shirt

maybe don’t put it in the hottest setting. My cotton setting was the highest (6) and applying it directly made the color rub off and spread everywhere. stained my shirt :( lower setting worked better (4)

Depends on how strong the letter bonding is but the marks should slowly keep fading the more times you wash it

Use the steam function on the iron. It takes time to remove the letters based on how strongly the letters have been bonded to the shirt. Patience is required to follow this process continuously without damaging the shirt. Hope this helps

Steam isn't necessary - just remember to LIGHTLY dab with the iron!
