I will have a son with a Nissan Altima that has a tinny (not tiny, but like the lid of a tin can) rattle vibration sound when the car hits between 30-35mph and when it’s been running for about 15 min, he can put it in park, rev the engine a little and it sounds like a tin can vibrating. As his mom, I’m doing the best I can to help him and to me it sounds like something is loose, but I really don’t have a clue to be honest and I Don have hundreds for a shop to jerk me around. Do you have any suggestions on where to start looking? He said he needs a new gas cap but I don’t think that’s it. It sounds more like wind making something tin flap but then he could also make that sound sitting still reving the engine a bit. I appreciate anything you can tell me. Thank you so very much

@@Motorcarnut thank you so much, I did watch it but it didn’t make the same noise as what his is doing. Honestly sounds like a tin top of something flapping lightly in a breeze at 30 mph. I thought it was under the hood but then it happened while sitting and reving the engine at 2.5. Weird stuff. He needs a new gas cap because he forgot to put it back on but I don’t think that’s what would make that tin sound.
