    It was cool being taken back with an old school mod. I went down that road before with my 93 gt and won't go back with what I know now. The whine got annoying quick and engines aren't happy breathing hot air. Select the right HCI and you will easily out power and out run the blower.

    Great video! And nice car!! Super clean.
    Did you use the factory water pump pulley? For your accessory belt? In all the photos I have seen, the tensioner seems to push the belt very close to the water pump pulley. It appeared you had a little more of a gap there.
    Thanks for the great video, car sounds awesome!!

    • @Mustang-Geek
      @Mustang-Geek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! I used the factory water pump pulley. If I recall, the kit routes the belt so that the factory belt is used. If you're using an underdrive water pump pulley, you may need to run a shorter belt or reinstall the factory water pump pulley. If you're keeping the mechanical cooling fan, it's probably a good idea to run it at factory speed anyway.

    How are your intake air charge temps with no intercooler? Also is your air intake temp sensor in the lower intake manifold or in the tube between the blower and the throttle body?

    • @Mustang-Geek
      @Mustang-Geek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's on the lower intake. At this boost and power level, I'm not worried about it. Ultimate power isn't the goal. Just a good, fun driver. And in that regard, this Vortech and Holley Terminator X combo delivers!

    • @MalcolmV8
      @MalcolmV8 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mustang-Geek I know you have a very mild build and max power is not your goal. I was just hoping to know what sort of IAT temps you saw at that 7.5 PSI. Any chance you have data logs of driving the car or maybe on the dyno you review and share?

    • @Mustang-Geek
      @Mustang-Geek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MalcolmV8 Manifold Air Temp starts at 165, then during the run cools off to 145, and at the end of the pull finishes at 166. So, looks like a 21 degree increase because of the boost, BUT it's reading basically the same as when the sensor is heat soaked during normal driving.

    • @MalcolmV8
      @MalcolmV8 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mustang-Geek I had a feeling that might be happening. I had the same issue and ended up moving my temp sensor to the inlet tube before the throttle body since I couldn't pick up actual IAT due to heat soak. Thanks for the feedback.

      @Mustang-Geek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MalcolmV8 I guess the real question is, "What decisions does the ECU make based upon the MAT data?" If it's pulling timing and adding fuel at 165 degrees, then it matters. But if not, it probably doesn't matter all that much.
