How to Grow FREE Tomato Plant, Rare or Any Tomatoes Patio or Garden Container Gardening & Raised Bed
Dear Robbie, I don't know your email but I really want to thank you for your tips. I use you tips more than any others in the world even!
1. Planting Egyptian onions - super useful
2. I got ginger going when I couldn't before your tips. Just putting them of soil doesn't work as good and fast as your method!
3. Trellis - oh my God it works so well and lasts long! I am using it for 2 seasons already and compared to the cost, it's a great solution!
4. Water saving through pots on top of soil
5. Composting in place. Actually I realized this is the best way to plant! Earlier in the season I had tomato seedlings that were so scrawny. Since I had many small pots I used the 2 layer method you showed. To my surprise all the scrawny seedlings that I didn't even expect to grow, grew with strong root systems. So I had to move them to a bigger pot. The thing is, the ones that I thought were doing better and I moved to my garden bed right away did not grow well! So today I was just done transplanting all my tomato plants, and I thought omg Robbie's,s tip really worked! The plants love the scraps placed under their pots. I didn't expect this to happen. I had so many fails before so this is a huge success for me.
Thank you so much! Much love from me and my garden!
Oh and the diy green house for seedlings! That's super useful!! Thank you so much
Oh Wow, it is all working wonderfully for You, thanks so much for sharing this ❤😊
@@tsarr09 Exxxcellent Comment Award!!! 🏆
I would agree, I'm trying the compost container like Robbie pitcher method. Instead, I'm using my Maxwell House instead coffee container with red lids. Grown planted a few peppers that come up from seed in my big water trough bed. They looked like they need help. I did Robbie idea with my coffee with lids containers are in grown. I only put in leaves, old protein drinks, and some old bokashi. They are growing great so far. Now I'm saving all of them and going to do this to other pepper, container beds I have. Thanks for that tip.
You are one of the smartest women I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing this information with us.
I agree
I AGREE TOO
OMG, Thank YOU SO MUCH ♥
Just when I think you've given us the greatest garden hack of all time, you hit us with another one🤪🥊 lol😂 you and Gary are just brilliant people! Thank you❤🌱 so much!!!!!
Oh my goodness, thank you so much, happy gardening, take care ❤😊
The sliced tubing clips are a game changer and money saver!
Oh Yes, Gary did the same thing to make Hoops, but put his on the inside to make round hoops, Mine are on the outside to hold netting or tulle or wire or string.
Brilliant!!
RIGHT!!
OH HECK YEAH ROBBIE, WE HAVE GOT TO GET YOU A RAISE.😊❤💕💕💕💕💕
LOL, Thanks!
Thanks Robbie, for sharing so many of your hacks. I just love your channel because it's so down to earth and your findings are just plain no-nonsense. While I appreciate advice from other channels too, yours truly make us feel like you're family, with a garden pretty much like anyone else (in the sense it's not neatly groomed like some state of the art gardens), and we can do the same as you with whatever is at our hand.
Love this ❤ Thank you so much 😊
Robbie, you are my new number one channel! Thank you for all of your selfless garden hacks! When I watch you I feel like I can be successful at gardening💪 I can’t tell you how much trouble I’ve had with all these different types of ratios of nutrients... very unsuccessful and it has discouraged me into not gardening...😢 when all I needed to do was make a veggie roll 🤷♀️😁so I made my first tote other day after watching your recent video on nutrients. I have never been more excited collecting a bunch of kitchen scraps! 😂 and because you show from the beginning to harvest, I know that I am going to be successful with you and Mother Nature’s method, and that feels wonderful!! Thanks again💪💓👏😎🌅
And I know you’re going to be successful, too, but keep in mind that not all plants will grow sometimes, and with those few, you just compost those and keep on going. Sounds like everything is great there. Take care and happy gardening. Thank you so much.❤😊
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy YES! It’s like a no-fail, my lettuce started bolting and that’s exactly what I thought of!!! 💓🌅💪😎
That is a great idea Robbie 🥰😁🥰
SO Easy and fast, and easy to set up in any size THANK YOU
Robbie, you are one of the most ingenious gardeners ever! I love your ideas!❤
Thank you so much ❤
The "clips" are such a great idea... I wish I had saved my replaced irrigation pieces. Next time... thanks Robbie for all of your gardening inspiration!!
Thanks, you're welcome.
You are so noticeable and creative.
Thank you SO much!
This is perfect! My daughter-in-law is having trouble with critters eating everything in her garden, so I has going to help her cover it with tulle. Using the clips with the irrigation tubing is an awesome idea! Thanks so much for sharing your brilliant ideas with us!
Your a Garden and Hummingbird Genius Queen. 🎉🌹
Oh Thank You ❤😊
I covered my raised bed with insect netting and used your idea of tomato stakes and irrigation tubing. It does the job and looks incredible!
PERFECT PERFECT!!! That irrigation tubing is amazing, so cheap, last a long time and just works PERFECT, Thanks
Clever as always!
Thank You!
I shared this video with my brother who lives in Florida! He loved it and it going to set up his new galvanized steel planter, just like yours! You have the best ideas to save time, money and labor! ❤

I really enjoyed watching and learning about this fantastic way to protect the garden! And it’s beautiful on top of it all! Thank you!
Let’s Go!!!
Thank you ❤😊
AMAZING IDEA ! That is genius - not only using the tubing for supporting the netting , but as clamps as well !
These are the same Clamps Gary did with the Plant support in his video, just works so great, and can't get any cheaper! Love it, Thanks Gary put his on the inside, I put it here on the outside.😃
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy , we will call you 2 ' The Power Couple ' !
Robbie your a genius! Thank you! I sooo appreciate you! My mind just doesn’t veirk like yours!🤣❤️🌱

Woo hoo. First!! Thank you Robbie. We are using this all over our garden. Wish we could find tomato stakes at the dollar store.

Glad to help with ideas, happy gardening Thank you. ❤
More things to do with the tubing I invested in! Can't wait to do this for my plants. Will try with shade clothes too too keep my cucumbers from bittering
Sounds Perfect 😊 Happy Gardening ❤️ thank you
You have such good ideas, Robbie. Now I can take the failing potato chip clips off my hoop tubing and make clips from the tubing itself. How great is that! Thanks!
Yes, that will be better, those chip clips do break quickly😊 thanks so much ❤
Very clever - makes sense to have in totes …and I absolutely love the brick work ❤
Thank you so much ❤
Have to wait until the guy that sells the tubing is back from vacation. What a great idea
Your TULLE tips have saved my garden several times!
I wrap clusters of my Blueberries and Tomatoes with it. Then secure with a clothes pin. You are right it's cheap and it last a couple of years.
Thanks for sharing your tips!
Happy Gardening in 2023

Wonderful ❤ thank you 😊
I did something very similar with bird netting to cover my strawberries to keep out the birds. I didn't think of putting a tube along the edge to lift up the netting and I used some clips from Dollar Tree to hold it onto the hoops. It was a real pain to lift (and untangle) the netting. I'll be adding this innovation in the next few days.
You did great, all you need to do is tweak it now to make life easier ❤😊
Such an awesome idea! I love it!! We just put our garden in 3 corrugated bins 4' x 8' and then put a dog fence around them. This will keep the birds out! And we do have a lot of them. I just watched 2 of your hummingbird fountains DIY. We have fed hummingbirds for the last 4 years and we have a birdbath, but i hadn't thought about a fountain. You are so creative and i appreciate and thank you for sharing your creativity with us❣️❣️ 9:52
Awesome !
oh my goodness!!! This is also a great butterfly enclosure for milkweed and caterpillars to be safe from the nasty red wasps that kill and eat them!!! OUTSTANDING!!!
Exactly, I have done this to protect some swallowtail caterpillars until they were ready to take flight 😊❤
Another Brilliant idea Robbie! Thank you for sharing with us.

WOW, outstanding ❤❤❤. Thank you for helping us. Love ur ideas 😊.
Oh my pleasure thank you. Happy garden. ❤
Such great ideas and the stone looks fabulous! I ordered the tubing from Rainbird to create the hoops for the growbags, but the thickness of the tubing CANNOT be cut with scissors :( I'll have to buy a special pvc tool or saw to get through it. So I wanted to warn those who love the idea but see how easy it is for you to cut it with scissors...you must have gotten a very thin poly tubing. I would love to create the clips for the tubs but my tubing won't work for it.
I had a hard time trying to cut mine, but then I remembered her saying to put it in the sun, so I did for about 2 hours, and it cut a lot easier.
No! No tools needed. I bought rainbird and dig, you never need tools, just a scissors. Put it in the sun for an hour or two and you’ll be able to cut right through it. It must be very cold where you are right now.
@@jwater63 I'll give it a shot but this tubing is pretty sturdy o.o. I figured it must have been a different thickness because Robbie always cuts it like it's no big deal. lol
Wow two new uses for irrigation tubing and tulle! Will be using those tips soon!!!
Works great and so easy ❤️
The tubing clip would be great for wicking tube like earth box or one like Home Depot or Lowe's has. They come with a cover over soil and keep your soil from drying out to hold the cover on the container. Which I might have to try sometime.
Interesting 😊
Another brilliant tips, ideas in gardening thanks Robbie your so innovative and creative, I couldn’t think of this right now or the day while I’m in my raised bed garden 🤦🏻♀️ so tired. Love you and take care. ♥️👩🌾🙏🏻👍👍♥️♥️♥️

Well, thank you to your Mom and to You, Thank you so much.
How do the pollinators get to the plants? I do like your ideas.
This is good for Brassica’s, carrots, radishes, lettuce, anything you don’t need pollinated, including tomatoes, but if you need pollinators open it up during the day 😊
Once again, a winner!
I must agree 😊 thank you so much ❤️💕
This is genius! I have I gave up a little on trying to grow edibles. We retired to high desert Southern Californai behind the Sierras. We are very hot in summer then it gets cold. After 5 years figuring out some plants for these temps Ive not done well with veggies. But then I never tried even though I grew up in mild Orange county! So Im trying new things in a new zone!A few critters here as its a small town with open desert all around. I read your detailed descritption of tomatoes. I never knew. We do have some large trees so I can position some for a bit of afternoon shade in our 3 months of 105 temps. Im going to review some of your other helpful garden tips.
I do think you can grow there. You just have to come up with your own micro climates, let me know how it goes.❤
Robbie i have been trying to figure out something for my Koi Pond and you just solved it for me, I am so thankful I watched this video your the best at ideas that are simple and inexpensive thank you, have a blessed day and keep them videos coming !!!! from San Antonio TX
Wow👏👏👏 you are a genius Robbie 🌟 the clips are awesome 😎 My tulle from last year it's perfect. I only bought some more. I've made two tomato cages like you have shown us for my indeterminate tomatoes and i am ready for the hot sun of summer to put some shade!
So happy to seeing you again working on the garden Robbie ❤️ I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for your support ❣️🌟❣️👏
So glad you are getting great use with tulle, I love it, and yes the tomato cages and the tubing is amazing. Truthfully, the garden is helping me a lot, it is when I come in the house…at times I fall apart. May was not a good month for us, as you know. Thank you Maria for your kind heart and understanding. You are very special. Thank you again for the Super Thanks 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Again Thank You

FANTASTIC! I am always looking for "budget friendly" gardening hacks....Thank you!
I covered my mulberry tree in tulle and have been freezing my mulberries. 3 Gallon bags down; more to go. The tree is still producing, though I think it has started to slow down with the cold weather. I use binder clips to clip the tulle to itself and to branches, and remove them in sections to pick fruit.
Yes, those clips work great for the tulle, I use them too; you sound like you’re doing great there ❤ thanks
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy The cool spell was nice. It allowed me to plant more seedlings out. We are expected to get 90s pretty soon though. I have my shade stuff up, but heat is still hard on the plants.
