Good move. Factory launchers straight out of the box will be the most useful for consumers and your viewers. There are endless mods and new channels focused on micro-dissection to squeeze one more Joule out. That's not my interest because in many cases it does more harm than good. Most working people don't have the time to mod these for hours and deal with the expected failures and trial-and-error that results from exceeding the technical specs. There are plenty good out of the box options these days. I'm still very happy with my PepperBall TCP and VKS that serve my Less Lethal needs admirably with minimal mods.
Sure there are nerds out there. But there are easy basic mods that everyone can do. It must not have 100j. But a hdr50 for example should have changed the barrel, removed the chamber block and changed the pin. The basic homedefence24 mod or same thing from another producer. So the normal user will do nothing with 11j to defend himself. That's why all the mods came out in time. Remember a few years ago someone put the question if he can defend him with paintball guns, chiinnature. That's not 10 years ago. And if many guns are sold in this super fast growing market people should also be taught not to trust in false safety what some producers put in imagination.
Good points. Sure change your barrel or an o-ring as needed. But keep it Less Lethal and spend your time wisely practicing and not trying to juice it up.

Great video as always :D I just got the HDR68 a few weeks ago, and was thinking about modding it my self :D But after seeing that failure I am reconsidering again :D Looking forward to the next video :D
Hey thanks so much as always man! I must say though, if done well, the mod is very solid. Consider all the I use and abuse I put this gun thru. I shot it A LOT over one year, before it busted. I also change cartridge before every single test. Most of the time I empty out the CO2 when it’s still half full. And I do it by pressing the valve indicator, which done over and over again, really puts pressure on it. Let’s see how the 16 joules performs. I just got it, will film it shortly :) Thank you again!!

So sorry! Most of us know the feeling. _There is a safer mod for the revolvers._ Just upgrade the barrel. It's pretty easy to change them out and it does nothing to weaken the power parts. A 16j hdr68 w/ an upgraded barrel could do quite well imo. ;-]
Man great video, so sorry to see your HDR68 pass away. I just got mine yesterday and already remove the valve block. Im in love so far its a hand cannon indeed.

@@AirgunAlley Ghosts in the machine. Maybe it inherited it from your modified HDR 68. It's the family joules. (yeah, that's a bad one!) I have a .22 PCP pistol that has a very odd quirk. When the pressure in its tank gets low, just before it starts dropping off, it gets a few shots where the power spikes way up, hitting about 200 fps faster than it's maximum rated velocity.
I have been looking at getting the 30 joules version of the 68 cal. But after this video, I can not see spending the money on it. I am like you I only get the versions from the factory. I have the 16 joules of the HDS, but I got it from the factory that way and the 11 joules of the HDR 50.
Take those broken pieces out and reuse o ring and replace the hole with rounded flat head bolt and nut, I had to do that on my hdp50 it works but you have to release the left over pressure with the Allen key and unscrew the quick pierce cap
I like that you cover all these different projectiles but I would be interested to see what these things are doing fps wise at the target not as they leave the barrel. I also have an idea to share. Could be very interesting and as far as I can tell nobody makes it. Yet.
you have all the parts you just need to remove valve and switch it out for 16j valve, you literally don’t even have to touch the triggers, make a shim to hold striker back down and just slide new valve assembly in, simple as that

Hi my friend! Unfortunately I can't compare them because, from your list, I only have the Alfa. But in general, my favorite is the HDR 68 (16 joules if possible)... I hope to test more guns in the near future and to be more helpful :)
@@AirgunAlley Hi! Thank you very much for your answer and help. If you allow friend, sometimes I will ask you for advice on what gun to buy because you make great videos!! 👍💥💥💥💥 There is no such thing in Poland. Greetings and waiting for more reviews 👍👍💥💥💥💪
Mate, your vids are great but please do something about fixing these things yourself as so easy. It’s just blown out the heat core oring. They are easily replaced. I will even send you one if you want
I’m sorry your gun failed, but alas, not a negative video by any means. What I got from it that mods can, in fact, increase the guns output too much. If the manufacturer saw fit to make the gun more powerful than it is, they would have done so. I like your idea of just using stock guns that are not modified. Perhaps I can go out on a limb here in saying that your audience will agree. My friend, this was a good video, as we all learned something of importance. Looking forward to part 2. Take care.
Absolutely gutted your valve is having an issue, obviously needs some TLC. Does it have the restrictor disc installed? I'd happily try and fix it for free, However im uk based my friend, the shipping might be a nightmare.
Oh Mark, you are so kind as always and thank you so much for the offer! As you said, shipping one of these to the UK can easily mean a one way trip to British customs 😂 again thank you! I’m actually happy to park this one in a drawer for a bit and make some videos with the 16 joules version I just got. I’m sure it’ll serve more people than than the 30j Have a great week ahead mate
Hi Roberto, that’s a big responsibility you give me, but with no doubt I can tell you that my favorite is the HDR 68. A lot more power, a lot more accuracy and for me it even looks a lot better. The negative is that there are less ammo and less accessories. But I’m sure that will change with time. Have a look at this video, this should convince you. since the 70's i have taken airguns completely apart and have improved just about all of them . i find that these simple designs in these Umarex markers a blast to work with , and you are so right , it's not that complicated !!! i have a few ideas to improve these , i have learned just recently to stop commenting on my ideas because companies have picked up on a few of my ideas and are profiting from them now . anyways , i agree with you a 100% , learn to do your own work not just in airguns but everything !
@@rick31869 well, you can't do all by yourself, but what you can do you should do. Not just because of the money, but you know what you did. Don't know if there's so much left you can do with these guns. For normal modification everything is available and also the 100j are cracked. But 100j is not less lethal anymore. Also the material has limits and it's much effort you need for a couple of more joules. That's for real nerds, not for the normal user. I agree with a standard mod like bringing the hdr50 to 30j or make a rifle from it with maybe 50j or so, or a FSC with 40+j. But more is dangerous and can become lethal very quick. Maybe build a supergun and keep it locked til it's really needed, who knows. But til then the normal stuff is enough. Not stock, because it is not for defense. But a little pimped up, as I wrote before.

its time to put your big boys pants on and say , no more , never again ,from now on i will do my own work . LOL !!! do not abandon that sweet HDR.68 , we need to get together real real soon and do a live conference call or something . i will help you not only fix this yourself , but make it even better . it took me about 8 months to become the expert i am today . i started with the HDP.50 , then shortly moved on to also become familiar with the HDR.68 and then the HDR.50 . I always said "if you want something done right , do it yourself " , i didnt come up with that myself , but i use it all the time !!! right now i am installing my own 8 foot privacy fence , thats with a totally screwed up right hip , mind you LOL . saving myself 1000's of dollars , so buy doing my own work , i was able to buy the best boards that are 5/8 inch thick and dripping and oozing with the juices of freshly done pressure treated fence boards and the very best pressure treated 10 foot real 2x4's and the very best hardware and materials . even with this high cost , i am still saving 1000's of dollars and i know i am getting the best job possible , i can honestly say , no one living or has ever lived could do it better than "I" ............. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have seen many different fences and have improved on them immensely !!! just one upgrade is 3 rows of 2x4's instead of the usual 2 rows ! LONG story short , no one will put out as well as you can on your own stuff , because it is yours ,you want it to be the very best it can be . i would definitely repair and make your HDR.68 shoot 10 extra joules with just using 12 gram co2 , i wouldn't charge you one red cent , change that for good luck , i would just charge you one cent for my labor LOL ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but , i think , you as much as i know about you in the year and a half plus i have known you , would think , it would bring you much joy to totally do your own work . always go the extra mile ,it will pay off in the long run !!! it's time to get out your comfort zone and learn another skill , just look at all the other things you have accomplished so far , right ? dont give up , lets do this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please !!! Hello! I am from Poland and I want to buy Umarex HDP 50, Alfa or Crosman Stronghold P7. Which in your opinion is the best, the strongest and the least failure. Thanks for your videos. Regards?
💥💥💥👍👍👍
Hi my friend! Unfortunately I can't compare them because, from your list, I only have the Alfa. But in general, my favorite is the HDR 68 (16 joules if possible)... I hope to test more guns in the near future and to be more helpful :)

How about a Byrna LE review?
I’m trying to put my hands on one 🙏🏽
Rest in peace 68 😮😢
Mate, your vids are great but please do something about fixing these things yourself as so easy. It’s just blown out the heat core oring. They are easily replaced. I will even send you one if you want
Hahaha! You underestimate my complete inability to deal with small screws and springs!
I addressed this in the next video :)
And thank you!!
Take care.
I wonder if the cododos fire from the mercury rise?
Tested here sir :) th-cam.com/video/bBqlkEX0ROU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OoIYx46RYwaI4NO_
Sorry for the HDR 68 leakage. Pressure in
The CO2 room is certainly too high which destroyed a joint.
Absolutely! Thank you mon ami Gaston!
I’m sure it’ll serve more people than than the 30j
Have a great week ahead mate
videi maravilhosooo quer revolvel limdoooo ja deixei oliker eo 164
Muito obrigado amigo!!! 🙌🏼
Do you recommend buying HDR 50 or HDR 68? My purchase depends on your answer, please help me, thank you very much. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱
This is the 16 joules version
HDR 68 [16 joules] POWERFUL and AWESOME AIR REVOLVER!!

Why don’t u jist buy the part and o rings and fix the one that’s blown out ?
This bullet could match with an ltl bravo ?
Hello there. No, these are too big (.68 cal) the Bravo is .50 cal. And the Bravo only holds round balls…
Merci beaucoup mon ami! L'eau est de l'eau du robinet, qui n'est pas potable. Ma famille boit la bonne eau et ensuite je recycle les grosses bouteilles :)
I proiettili cododo sono l'orgoglio nazionale, altro che lo scudetto del napoli!! 🤣
Use super lube on the co2 tip and clean the barrel every 10 shots and the gun will be happy.. My opinion the silicone oil its no the pest choice
What can I use to clean the barrel? Just got a new one 30j and can i use crosman pelet gun oil?
DEEZ BÜLLETS sounds like a yeat song
Where can i buy these ammos
Hi Daniel, please check the video description. It is all there :) thank you and have fun!
Why don't you modify it by yourself? Meanwhile you became a little expert in this guns. It's not that complicated.
since the 70's i have taken airguns completely apart and have improved just about all of them . i find that these simple designs in these Umarex markers a blast to work with , and you are so right , it's not that complicated !!!
i have a few ideas to improve these , i have learned just recently to stop commenting on my ideas because companies have picked up on a few of my ideas and are profiting from them now . anyways , i agree with you a 100% , learn to do your own work not just in airguns but everything !
Spaghi, è la legge!
I think is better Hdr 50 , isn,t it ?
I always prefer the HDR 68. More power, bigger projectile and a lot more accurate :)
@@AirgunAlley 30 joules ? Or 16 ?
DJI Gimbal?
Hey my brother! No I went a lot cheaper :) amzn.to/3o0pPoL So far so good, I've been using it for a few months now....
@@AirgunAlley Thanks man! I picked one up for 38 that'll track me like that. But it puts me in the very center of the frame, I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks for the reply. Great video as always man!
I think mine try’s to keep the subject in the middle, but the sensor is not that great. And it’s super jerky. But I like it, gives the shots more movement. I love how you know everything about airguns and everything about cameras and gear 👏🏼
Get you one from Mercy Less Lethal bro
Hey bro! Thanks, will do next time! Got it from a different shop, what’s your discount code?

Hi friend. I don't understand much English. You could put a note on /10 in your comments on your own a priori please, and compared to this video are you disappointed or not and answer me in French please
Je suis vraiment désolé, mais je n'ai pas compris votre demande. Pourriez-vous s'il vous plaît réessayer en d'autres termes ? Merci beaucoup!
@@AirgunAlley could you rate the HDR 68 giving me a score out of 10 for example 5 out of 10 or 3 out of 10 or 9 out of 10 or 10 out of 10🙏
@@rapfunkzazinio1273 ouiiii!! Thank you mon ami! For me it’s a 9/10. Powerful and easy to store and shoot. Also very accurate. I just tried the 16 joules for the first time and I’m super impressed. Saturday the new video will come out so you can see the great damage it made on the targets :)
@@AirgunAlley merci bro
@@AirgunAlley Try to put a score out of 10 to each of your videos, it would simplify all your videos internationally for those who do not speak your language😉😁

Alright mate 👍 sad times no one wants to hear that sound .reckon deez bullets would have smashed the coconut look forward to the conclusion keep safe and keep up the good work mate 👍
its time to put your big boys pants on and say , no more , never again ,from now on i will do my own work . LOL !!! do not abandon that sweet HDR.68 , we need to get together real real soon and do a live conference call or something . i will help you not only fix this yourself , but make it even better . it took me about 8 months to become the expert i am today . i started with the HDP.50 , then shortly moved on to also become familiar with the HDR.68 and then the HDR.50 .
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but , i think , you as much as i know about you in the year and a half plus i have known you , would think , it would bring you much joy to totally do your own work . always go the extra mile ,it will pay off in the long run !!! it's time to get out your comfort zone and learn another skill , just look at all the other things you have accomplished so far , right ?
dont give up , lets do this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please !!! LOL
