There's a few places in Europe like France and some of the Slavic countries where black powder weapons are unregulated. Talked to a Slavic dude online a few years back and he was telling me that people in his country keep double barrel black powder muzzle loading shotguns as door guns but these launchers seem like a good idea especially for grey area self defense situations and of course places with restrictions on guns which is most places in the world. Good video.

Another excellent video. I love your imaginative and creative intros. The IntruBuster is an excellent launcher for LL home defense. From what I have seen on other channels, I think you could get closer to 50 joules of energy if you used projectiles which are better bore-matched for the launcher. Some other TH-camrs report that the Grimburg Jul V3 projectiles give them results of high 40 joules to over 50 joules. They credit optimum bore matching to their great results. Some other common projectiles gave much lower kinetic energy values. I am providing my comment as food for thought.

Great video, as usual, plenty to learn about the product and you keep it fun and interesting. That IntruBuster looks great, I hope it becomes available in the UK. It looks like they solved most of the design issues of their rival's products such as the Grimburg Gavle with it's weird loading and co2 puncturing method and the S2 with it's sheer bulk and front loading magazine and all without any obvious compromises. Since the barrel is removable, I assume we will see some longer aftermarket barrels which might help with accuracy in the future.
I think so too, new barrels will be coming out sooner than later for this. And thank you so much for your very kind words and for your input! Can’t tell you how much I appreciate it
Great video as always brother. I was waiting for this one! The Intrubuster is a real hand cannon. Very impressed and pleased with mine. Have a lot of different proyectiles to test in my videos.
Hey man! So nice to hear from you as always! I think if they come out with longer barrels that could really improve accuracy! Also balls are just not the best aerodynamic projectile to shoot. I’ve noticed hehe

Personally, I would shoot from a closer distance, say ten to fifteen feet, no more. Should put accurate delivery on target more easily. Smooth bores and round balls (bullets) are well known to curve rather than fly True. Consider using a 'fixed' pistol rest to test valiance in accuracy by avoiding the hand-held approach. Thank You ! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you need to compile them in a series of videos. Anyway, regarding IntruBuster beast; I'm glad you mentioned it as a LESS lethal CO2 pistol, because, in effect, it can be a very lethal weapon. It reminds me a bit of the Tiberius Arms - Tiberius 8 (a paintball pistol), although Mercuryrise have solved the issue that the Tiberius 8 has which is a weird gas and ammo combined magazine which leaks. Mercuryrise might want to consider releasing a 7.5 joule version just for the paintball market as it looks and functions better than most paintball pistols out there and is far more wieldy than carrying something like a Tipx or a T68 Firestorm or something similar.
The Gavle is 35-38 Joules. The Intrubuster is 34-50 Joules. The downside is it's only a 6-7 shot launcher, but with so much power you shouldn't need more than 2-3 to drop anyone.
The Gavle 2.0 claims 39 joules. And in my experience (I have 2) is more accurate than this weapon. Anything above 20 joules is getting into the usable range, IMO. And I know over 30 joules is very serious trouble for a human target. Potentially lethal at the usual ranges of self defense encounters, depending on where the target is hit.

@@AirgunAlley Sigh, yeah - I normally love politics but there's an old curse which goes "may you live in interesting times" and this year's election has gotten TOO interesting for my tastes. >_< But hey, at least it looks like you got off as easy from the hurricane as we did up in Orlando, although I'm guessing you ended up without power for a few days as most of southern Florida went dark despite Duke's best efforts. If you're thinking about shopping for a generator for next year, ignore the solar powered and other gimmick ones - just score a gasoline powered one in the 5200 watt range - that's enough to keep the fridge running, a box AC mounted in the window and a couple of lights and floor fans. You want gasoline instead of natural gas because while natural gas is easier to store and doesn't expire like gasoline, it's far harder to replace/refill after a hurricane, plus, you can't use it to fill your car if it comes down to it. As for the gasoline expiring - what I do is come summer time I start topping off my truck/boat with my generator gasoline and then refilling the containers so that by hurricane season it's all fresh gasoline, thus resulting in no wastage, plus, I'm not dropping a couple of hundred bucks all at once since, instead, I'm simply filling a few tanks at a time with the money I would have used to have filled my truck.
I still have my 68 from 1996, Edge catalog. 600-plus FPS firing solid, heavy, hard polyester cannonballs. Used to cut Chicago phone books in half with it! Doesnt work right last time I tried using it. Hope I can fins someone to help with it. It's a first Gen paintball gun souped up for training cops or some shit. Those white ones do the trick. Serious pump-action biz.
There’s one 68 caliber gun that has a rifled barrel and it’s accuracy shows in its shots. The TRP is highly respected and used pistol used by law enforcement because of the quality and forcefulness, accuracy and reliability of use. So, remember this when choosing a pistol for home defense.
Thanks my man! Well, you might want to get both for your awesome channel! I haven’t tried the Galve yet, but this one was a pleasant surprise. Thanks as always my man
Great question!! Probably this one, although they both have their advantages. The torpedo revolver has a huge variety of ammo you can use, versus the balls-only of the IntroBuster. But this one really hits hard…
When you’re demonstrating home defense stuff, maybe you could place a shirt over the ballistic gel , clothing can stop low velocity rounds from an airgun sometimes. Just a thought. Still enjoyed the entertaining informative video as always.
Hi my friend! Thank you very much and you make a good point! I did that in my last video, with the watermelon LTL Alfa 1.50 ORANGE [.50 Caliber] Less Than Lethal Defense th-cam.com/video/D-oLWtUeG4s/w-d-xo.html Thanks again!
The launcher shoots at 40 -50 joules out of the box (Unless you have a lemon) with rubber steel, pvc 9.9g, juls, aluminum, just about anything other than the real light plastic balls. I like your testing format and presentation. I think 15 feet (or less), however, is more likely for LL engagement. Thanks for you great videos over the years.
Thank YOU! Yea I might have screwed it up by doing the Chrono test with the light weight nylon balls… but this way at least we have a good idea of the whole power range this gun has
Very interesting video brother. Appreciate the content. Ive been curios about these guns for awhile. I got a shorty gk1 but its NOT less lethal its lethal. Again, great vid
So myself and DK Spencer have been doing extensive tests with this on our channels. Grimburg JulV3s are the best bore matched. And getting over 50juls This launcher is a beast. Nice testing. 👍👍♾ I love you don’t practice on Human targets
Thanks for this, it's a great demonstration of why I like LTL launchers (if they are powerful enough). Now I saw this launcher mentioned on another channel I was surfing past, and one of the comments noted that this is not a Mercury Rise product, but a white label product from another manufacturer (which name I don't recall). I do like the gun, and am considering a purchase. Though currently happy with my Grimbug Gavle 2.0 (both me and my daughter carry one), which in my experience is definitely more accurate, and claims 39 joules. I especially like this gun's loading and charging which mechanism is a better design than the Gavle.
Yes it’s weird how this gun is being branded under two names. But they’re the same gun, just sold by different retailers. I see that addiction creeping in 😂😂 always wanting the next thing coming out ahaha I never reviewed the Galve, I’ve tried, but haven’t been able yet. Sadly I can’t help with the comparison…. Best of luck to you and your family and thanks again!
Hey there!! The only similar gun that I tried is the TiPX - and it’s night and day compared to this one. The only similarity is in the shape. The IntruBuster is a lot smaller, lighter, solid and better functioning all around. Hope this helps :)
Hi great video as always. I got a question I am looking for a pcp rifle in 0.43, 0.50 or 0.68 caliber in the less lethal weapons category! Never found one. Do you know of one exists and if lot what would be the reason for this ? Because it gets quite expensive with the sparklets so pcp would be a nice alternative.
These markers could use a small bit of rifling/twist in the barrels. More of just a twist rifling of some kind like in the barrel of my old Daisy SG22. That would help a bit with accuracy. Or maybe even some hop up spin like with airsoft. Adding something like that shouldn't raise the price all that much. And loading a powder ball followed by the solid projectiles, even though you didn't intentionally do it that is a good idea. Hit an intruder with a pepper ball or two followed up by solids would definitely ruin their day. Especially if you could land a few on the face. Great video!
All I could get my hands on is a compound bow with repeating steel ball launcher. But it's also set at around 33 joules using 40lbs draw weight, shooting 13gram 15mm diameter steel balls. It should deliver similar damage in a larger package. But it has a way longer track barrel and that helps with accuracy. Also a laser sight.
There a few people who have their own channels and have shown the use of the Intrubuster. Showing it shoots as much as 50 joules out of the box. Since you’ve had the air gun in your possession, have you had anything higher than the 30 joules since you put out your video showing it?
Hi there! I shot a very light projectile through the chronograph (2,8 grams). Others probably shot heavier ammo (7 or even 10 grams), that can dramatically increase the joules power. That’s why I think there are so many “versions” out there…
Great pistol, i this make the hdp50 factory version compact look like a toy with only to 11 j using 1.5 nylons, mines seem to be working good so but detents or cheap great video.
Hahaha! Hope to be reaching you in time! Comparing Co2 powered to PCP is a bit like comparing apples with oranges. That said, I’d go with this one. Without a doubt! I’m not too convinced with those defenders…. But do have a look at the GK1 as well. My favorite combo is Huben GK1 + AEA Megalodon. And of course this one too…
I like your testing format, however I do hope you do more testing with different ammo types and weights, because other channels are getting a lot more Jules out off the box. They're hitting as high as 50 and most are in the upper 40’s down to 38-40 Jules for the final 6 or 7th shot. Hopefully your pistol isn’t defective. 🍺 Cheers!
Indeed my friend, seems that I’ll be doing more chrono testing with different ammo, here I used very light (2.8g) nylon balls. Keep an eye out for shorts… at some point :) and thanks!
Several channels in the community have been posting about this launcher. Some are getting 47 to 50 juuls out of the box. Until it’s had some time to work out any potential kinks, I stick to the Gavle that came in almost twice months ago. Also after getting the Gavle, it may be awhile before the wife lets me order another launcher.
The mention of them barrels being so poor that the alu balls ruin them kinda seemed not so good.. But. A removable barrel? Hellyea! This one definitely getting then barrel alternatives made in the future (or so I'd personally bet, since the LL industry gotten quite wide thru the recent years). A long, precision made, stainless steel barrel would be damn nice - and then the pistol put into a carbine kit for ultimate coolness..😁😁
Boom! They better be reading this comment and follow suit! Totally agree with you! (I think the the original barrels are mainly made for paintballs, thus the “poor” quality)
Is this more effective than the Byrna LE Launcher? And also can you use pepper balls in that gun you’re showing? I got the Byrna LE Launcher and i can use kinetic and pepper balls i got my mags staggered one pepper ball one Kinetic ect.
Bro, I have the LE. The first round comes out at 25 joules, then after that it drastically decreases, to like 19, 17, 14, 12 then mine stabilizes at 11 joules for most of the remaining 4 magazines. This intrubuster, using grimburg JUL 8 gram ammo, I got 44-48 joule spread over the 6 shots. This is waaaaayyyy more powerful than a byrna LE. If you're depending on kinetic impact to deter a bad guy, the intrubuster will do the job with shot placement at center mass, legs. The byrna LE if you want kinetic deterrent you will have to aim for face neck head only because now going into winter, bad guys wearing more clothing they will not feel the byrna LE impact with its light 3gram projectiles
definitely interested in something like this.. I carry a gun at work, I manage a smoke shop, often alone and it tends to attract some sketchy folk. At the same time, I really don't want to shoot anyone either. We've also been a victim of armed robbery. I keep pepper spray handy as well, Usually hanging around my neck on my key lanyard. I think of it as a form of open carry/ visible deterrent.. Pepper spray seems to be a pretty common meth head weapon in my city.. Ive had several in the store with a large, bear mace style can hanging off their belt. This is Denver.
11:30 You could have said you were trying for top right and left targets and two disabling shots each in the shoulders... and we'd have never known it was an awful pistol accuracy... 😂
Did Mickey Rourk come out with anything new lately? I been living in the 80's too much. Oh hey! there he is in this the pepperball video.Aslo "Decker: Port of Call Hawaii"

Great video. In the UK handguns are completely banned as are full auto weapons even full automatic air guns. Air pistols have about an 8 jules limit pretty crap really
Thats why the Umarex range is a bit handy, the 'shotguns' in particular kinda skirt the limits. That pump action shotgun they brought out is clunky as hell tho.

Thanks for the video ! Isn't the top metal though?
As soon as I saw the Buffalo Trace I was hooked on you video. BT is the best!
Definitely a close range weapon. Good video!
Absolutely! And thank you!!
Great video as always my friend. Very cool and powerful pistol 😎💥👍
Thank you Maestro!! Hope this makes it to your channel too at some point! 🙏🏽🙌🏼😎
@@AirgunAlley Thank you my friend. I hope so too 😃
There’s one 68 caliber gun that has a rifled barrel and it’s accuracy shows in its shots. The TRP is highly respected and used pistol used by law enforcement because of the quality and forcefulness, accuracy and reliability of use. So, remember this when choosing a pistol for home defense.
Was gonna get the Gavle but after seeing numerous videos on this, think I might go with the Intrubuster and it's 100 bucks cheaper...great review 😎
It was, but they raised the price a hundred dollars this past week.
Thanks my man! Well, you might want to get both for your awesome channel!
I haven’t tried the Galve yet, but this one was a pleasant surprise.
Thanks as always my man
Another great video as always!:)
THANK YOU so much!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
If you could only buy one Mercury Rise, would you buy the 50 cal revolver or the 50 cal or 68 cal semi automatics. Thanks. Tampa alley.
I did that in my last video, with the watermelon LTL Alfa 1.50 ORANGE [.50 Caliber] Less Than Lethal Defense
th-cam.com/video/D-oLWtUeG4s/w-d-xo.html
Thanks again!
So pick up a few extra barrels. Nice!👍
Thank YOU! Yea I might have screwed it up by doing the Chrono test with the light weight nylon balls… but this way at least we have a good idea of the whole power range this gun has
Great channel my paison! You found the home defence 24 PVC coated metal ball in this video is more effective than solid smooth aluminum ball?
Good question! I’m not really sure. But probably the alu balls are better. A lot lighter and yet hard as hell
And thank you!!! 🙏🏽
Is there adjustable sites on that pistol Very.
Great video. Man
Thank you!!
I like it. It maybe what I'm looking for! Thank you
Have to keep watching your the best wow
Very interesting video brother. Appreciate the content. Ive been curios about these guns for awhile. I got a shorty gk1 but its NOT less lethal its lethal. Again, great vid
Thank you so much!! Oh yes this def more LL than the GK1 🙌🏼
As always, grazie signore!
At close range: down the hallway, this thing will definitely do the job even on someone wearing a thick jacket.
It will! And if not that, it’ll make them deaf 😂
As always, grazie a te amico!

So myself and DK Spencer have been doing extensive tests with this on our channels. Grimburg JulV3s are the best bore matched. And getting over 50juls
This launcher is a beast. Nice testing. 👍👍♾ I love you don’t practice on Human targets
which do you prefer? This one or the Gavle? Thanks
@@TheJaYSolo I prefer this one. But I don’t think you could go wrong with either
thank you!!
The intro to this was awesome 😂
Thank you!!
I see that addiction creeping in 😂😂 always wanting the next thing coming out ahaha
I never reviewed the Galve, I’ve tried, but haven’t been able yet. Sadly I can’t help with the comparison….
Best of luck to you and your family and thanks again!
That's a neat little thing!
Yessir!! Hope you get to sell some at some point ;)
Wow, bel bestione come piace a noi!!! Felice di rivederti all' opera, un abbraccione da Stefano!!!
Grazie carissmo!! Come diciamo a Roma, trampo moro! Tra uragani, elezioni e questo canale mi sta 🤯

No, thank YOU!
I like that video. I always wondered about the accuracy of the IntruBuster (Pistelle X-68), from a distance.
Thanks
Thank YOU!
Really good review, I wonder if they make a barrel for this gun that would shoot marbles?
This is the easiest no-brainer, self-defense, "projectile launcher" I've seen in a long time. Purchase is immanent.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hello my friend! Nice video. It seems a FSC, guess as powerful as Tiberius 8.1, right?
Some really special device. Selfdefense gun
Do you planning to make review on Huben?
Hi there! Oh yes, I have done several videos on Huben. And you don’t have to scroll down that far - they’re pretty recent 😎
Great job nice gun👍
Thank you Michael!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Cool
I have one and with an 8 gram jul v2 hits 382 fps over 50joules.
I have a nice pcp rifle, and can have pretty much anything I want in the USA .This gun looks like fun!
Have you ever tried to crack open a coconut ? It's not easy. And this thing is shattering them like a rock hitting a window.
🙌🏼
Saudações do Brasil.
Quantos joules tem essa pistola co2 ?
Só atira esferas?
Si solo esferas. Y tem 30/50 joules! 🙌🏼🙏🏽
❤ your videos and im so close to decide which one is going to be my first less lethal gun/🔫
2 or 3 attackers with thick clothing, would you choose this or semi auto pcp?
Three letters and one number: GK1 :)
La mejor pistola para HD, pero en precio, sigue ganando el revólver Umarex. Saludos desde Chile 😃👍🇨🇱
Alright so THIS or the aea defender, and why ? Need answers b4 I impulse buy either
And of course this one too…
Dobar video.

Thank you!!
Impressive, bro
Thanks my man
@@AirgunAlley welcome, bro
I like your testing format, however I do hope you do more testing with different ammo types and weights, because other channels are getting a lot more Jules out off the box.
They're hitting as high as 50 and most are in the upper 40’s down to 38-40 Jules for the final 6 or 7th shot.
Hopefully your pistol isn’t defective. 🍺 Cheers!
Indeed my friend, seems that I’ll be doing more chrono testing with different ammo, here I used very light (2.8g) nylon balls. Keep an eye out for shorts… at some point :) and thanks!
@@AirgunAlley thank you!
Thanks for that!
Yes, indeed I’ll be doing more chrono testing with different ammo, here I used very light (2.8g) nylon balls.
Absolute .
Super effective this gun xhere Can you buy it? Super vidéo mon ami👍
This is Denver.
awesome 😀
Thank you!!
Out of anything out there and mods avaliable, what setup would you recommend for somine just getting into these?
11:30 You could have said you were trying for top right and left targets and two disabling shots each in the shoulders... and we'd have never known it was an awful pistol accuracy... 😂
Hahahahahaha!!! Good strategy for the next one ;) thank you as always!!!
I found a video that it holds one in the chamber if you drop one in before the mag.
Was wondering if you could cover that on a video?
Did Mickey Rourk come out with anything new lately? I been living in the 80's too much. Oh hey! there he is in this the pepperball video.Aslo "Decker: Port of Call Hawaii"
Hope there come some Modification stuff.
it needs an adjustable hopup system like on an airsoft gun it would help the accuracy a lot.
I doubt it can shoot slugs like the HDR68. Or can it?
What is better this one or the byarna
Alright mate 👍 I think it looks like a glock .got some kick to it don't matter where you hit on the target as long as it hits it some where still gonna hurt . As always keep up the great work mate 👍

Hello my friend!! Great to hear from you. Obrigadooo
Great video. In the UK handguns are completely banned as are full auto weapons even full automatic air guns. Air pistols have about an 8 jules limit pretty crap really
Pretty sad to see what has become of what was once the leader of an entire empire.
Thats why the Umarex range is a bit handy, the 'shotguns' in particular kinda skirt the limits. That pump action shotgun they brought out is clunky as hell tho.
@@smacksalad really? i was thinking about buying the pump?
On paper 30 joules doesn't look like much but seeing those cocunuts getting all messed up makes me change my mind.
Completely agree. The decisive factor here is distance. From far away, 30j is not much. But from close range… outch!
