Hello guys,
One of my earliest childhood memories is playing Gran Turismo 2 and driving the Pennzoil Skyline GT-R. That car is as iconic as the Castrol Supra and the Castrol Mugen NSX. Recently, I started watching some clips about the JGTC on TH-cam, and it was amazing. I made this video with so much pleasure, and I still enjoy driving these cars even after 20+ years. I hope we see more of these cars in future games. As you can see, I've started recording my gameplay with a wheel too, haha. I know it’s not perfect, and I still have a lot to learn, but I hope you like it.

The factor why JGTC PS1 Game (released exclusively for JP market only) pretty good is because that game has a lot of 1998 JGTC cars that didn't make it to Gran Turismo 2. Also, that game has fully licensed Avex Trax songs like EZ DO DANCE by TRF, Dear My Friend by ELT (Every Little Thing), the intro game song "Bust the Future Wall" by m.o.v.e (yes, the song featured in Initial D 1st Stage anime), etc
Wish they include "Jungle Fire" from Yu Serizawa and MOTSU while playing GT7 or ADVAN RACING PS1 tho...😅
dont know if its only me but everytime i watch anything from GT4 it satisfies me SO much...maybe its just the nostalgia but i dont even care about the sound...great video mate!!
Gran Turismo 5 too. The car sounds on 2006 to 2011 Super GT cars (Weider HSV-010) are also great.
Still want to see the 2003 JGTC GT500 cars reappear in Gran Turismo. Since the 2003 season rule changes, GT500 gradually develop into prototype race cars with unique Japanese style.
Super GT300 cars in 2024 now consists of combination of LMGT3 and GT300 models.
I wanna see the 2003 XANAVI Nismo GT-R in GT7
I wish SUPERGT never went away from the 2003-2008 era. These GT500s were truly unique among GT racing cars. While they weren't really 'production-based racing cars' the series claims to be, they (GT-R/Z, Supra/SC430, NSX) used the main cabin as the baseline to build from, and inherited some of the road car's characteristics. The end of this era also marked the end to the unique powertrains each car used.
From 2009 onward, the series got restricted to a single engine format. From 2014 onward, beginning with an ill-advised attempt to unify with German DTM, chassis rules were changed into one-make carbon tub, effectively eliminating anything other than a superficial resemblance the racing car has with its road car counterpart.

I would like to thank Sega GT for introducing me to many monsters of the Japanese GT Championship, including Pennzoil Nismo GT-R, Castrol Tom's Supra, Castrol Mugen NSX, Xanavi ARTA Silvia, RE-Amemiya RX-7, as well as rare stars: Cusco Impreza and BP Kraft Sprinter Trueno
BP KRAFT APEX AE86 Sprinter Trueno and EIMEI MIRAGE SUPER GT300 cars also.
Honestly I’m kinda sad that there’s hardly any racing games featuring cars like these (besides Gran Turismo 7). And no I’m not talking about mods (like Assetto Corsa), I mean full-on LICENSED vehicles. iRacing, Project Cars (yes they ended, I know), rFactor, all the hard core sims you can think of basically are missing out. They have all the racing disciplines we all know and love (GT3, LMP, IMSA, WEC, GT4, Cup cars, Open Wheel, DTM, GT1, GT2, Group A touring cars, Group C prototypes, V8 Supercar, NASCAR, GTE, WRC, Rallycross, Trophy trucks, etc) but THIS!
and even then Gran Turismo 7 lacks even the newer class GT500 Super GT cars, with newest we get is like Motul GT-R from 2017
My favorite has to be the Castrol Tom's Toyota Supra
1st messed with these monsters in GT3 A Spec. Calsonic Locktate Penzoil R34s Castrol and Denso Supras Castrol and Autobacks NSXs
Speed king from Tokyo xtreme racer zero use a JGTC R34 Skyline, even the color is similar to the calsonic R34
Hey, i raced him too back then it was not easy unless you got a faster car (b.t.w if your car isn't making more than 500hp don't even try it) so thank you dude in reminding me the long and hard grind to beat him and some of his teammates anyway i got to go bye now.
The NSX sounds up to GT5 liked especially the 00 version was disappointed that the GT7 version didn’t sound like GT4

Gran Turismo 1 has only the Castrol Supra? The other racing cars are not JGTC licensed?
HONDA G'ZOX NSX 2005 appeared in Enthusia and Forza Motorsport 2 to 4 but not Gran Turismo 5 to 7.... Man, its such an underrated car.

The calsonic R32 was not a JGTC car
The Group A R32 GT-R was repurposed into the first JAF GT1 / JGTC GT500 car after Group A was disbanded. Very few pics exist of this car that was essentially a Gr.A R32 GT-R with a wacky oversized factory rear wing, bulged fenders, and rim shields. The first genuine Skyline GT-R developed with JGTC in mind was the R33 in 1995.

and 3uz, many forget that later Toyota started using a v8 for the super gt supra, the 3sgte was brutal, but the v8 version was better and sounded better.
@@JOSELUISGARCIA-pi8kv Cierto, pero me parece mas loco que reemplazen un 6 en Línea por un 4 en Línea y que este último gane, osea, que un motor chico le gane a un motor grande, que un motor grande le gane a uno no tan grande... me entendes?
@@octavioavellaneda4105 pero por lo mismo cambiaron de motorización, ya que los otros equipos empezaron a montar motores más avanzados, el honda nsx tenía un nuevo v6 construido por honda, era un motor de formula 1 literalmente, el gtr34 cambiaron su rb26, por el vg30dett que era un v6 y era mejor ya que este nuevo motor le daba mas ventajas en las curvas ya que era un motor en v y no uno en línea, así que toyota sí o sí tenía que quitar el 4 cilindros y meterle un motor mas potente así que se decidieron por el 3uz fe que era un v8 que creó que habia una versión del toyota soarer que llevaba esa motorización, y si entiendo que es sorprendente que un 4 cilindros estuviese al nivel de motores mas grande, bueno su peso lo ayudaba mucho al supra ya que le bajaron mucho peso.
