- Chinese President Xi Jinping made an inspection tour to a hutong, or traditional alley, in central Beijing's Qianmen area ahead of Spring Festival. He visited local residents, community workers, deliverymen and dropped by a restaurant and extended Lunar New Year greetings to all Chinese people.

Indonesian Chinese here. I dont think I'll be returning to China ever (the life there is too competitive). But China and being Chinese will always be deep in my heart and my children and grandsons will be proud they are Chinese no matter where we live.

Compared to all the other Presidents that have rules China I think he's different .You have to spend time with the people visit colleges and have conversations with students listen to their views and opinions I would love to see him doing a lot more but he's is better than all the other rulers that have ruled China 🌍
I am a second generation Oversea Chinese. I I have seen how China was in 60s, it was poor. Many of my adopted country Chinese families had to send money to their birth villages. Today, China is peaceful and prosperous in may sectors, thanks to the wise leaderships and diligence population. Glad to hear from the great President Xi emphasised the important of Hutong in modern Beijing. I had stay in Hutong twice for holiday and it made me feel very much at home.

My grand parents migrated from poverty stricken China to Malaysia in the early 19 th century. Malaysians of Chinese origin to date are still being discriminated in Malaysia and the Chinese diaspora continued further on to Australia, Europé, USA and Canada. Lots of chinese diaspora are suffering in discrimination and poverty in the countries they migrated to. Seeing President Xi make me wish that all countries and nations take care of its people so no one need to migrate or suffer unnecessarily.
