    You totally deserve the win Matty, and you'll love those files. I got a set for me and one for my Dad, they are the poor man's Rockwell tester, lol. Rotary broaches are cool, haven't tried making nor using one yet, but some day. Looking forward to part 2!

      Thanks Everett, I have to learn how to use the files properly yet, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford a Rockwell tester,

      Gday, I think there’s a good 20 years left in the mill, if I play my cards right I should be able to get away with just a laundry🤞😂

      Gday Gary, I’m loving using the Cincinnati, so nice to have auto feed, first thing I noticed was the rigidity, my other mill is ok but the Cincinnati is better..

    Well done on the competition win, and great job by Tommy Gun Machining on the prizes.
    Very interesting to see how you build the rotary broach Matt, useful tool to have.
    Good to see the Cincinnati mill doing its thing.
    Great job on the editing, many forget how much work is involved in posting, surprised me how long it can take.
    Stay safe all, and thanks for sharing.

      Gday, thanks for the kind words, it was very generous of all the guys to donate prizes for the tool competition, I looking forward to finishing the rotary broach, still waiting on the kit to arrive in the post still, COVID has slowed things down a lot, it takes a long to edit a video, at least for me anyway, hours disappear rapidly, please stay safe, Cheers Matty

    Well done on the TMC win Matty 👍 Nice work on that backplate and good on you for showing the one that wasn't quite right 👍 We all stuff things up now and again and I always prefer watching channels where people show their mistakes rather than the channels where everything turns out perfect first time! Cheers, Alan.

      Gday Alan, I’m always making mistakes and screw ups, that’s the normal here😂 and I don’t mind showing some mate...

    Lovely work Matty - looking forward to the future episodes on this project. How do you like the new location for the mill? I bet you don't want to move it around very often :-)

    • @MattysWorkshop
      @MattysWorkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gday Craig, I like where the mill is atm and I really don’t plan on moving it anytime soon, it is heavy so I don’t think I have to worry about bolting it to the floor, I borrow a pallet jack to move it so I’m on the lookout for a secondhand one, that way I can shift it out to clean or if any work has to be done to the mill.

    A nice prize for a well desreved win Matty.👍
    On music and editing... While we all appreciate a well made video, I'm pretty sure most of us are here for the machining magic not for epic cinematic whizbangery 😁

    ¾ of an hour to setup the workpiece on the milling machine… I’ve told you a hundred million times not to exaggerate… hehe
    Some really nice filming on the mill, great to see the path of the cutter.
