Like this Young Don guy, I was a Christian who couldn't answer any of these questions. I was told that the New Testament was the "most well-preserved historical document of all time", and that "they were the exact words of Jesus". When I first encountered Islam, the idea that Jesus pbuh wasn't God or that the New Testament message has been corrupted had never even occurred to me. Within a month of studying for hours daily I had realized that even in the corrupted and inaccurate New Testament documents Jesus pbuh never claims to be God, and that the Quran is the perfectly preserved word of God. I took my shahada 8 months ago. Alhamdulillah for leading me to the straight path, and may Don be lead on the same path as well.
Jesus claims to be God in John 10:30-33. He said He is one with the Father and in doing so the Pharisees said “we are stoning you because you’re a mere man who claims to be God.” Jesus is God according to John 1:1, John 1:14, Isaiah 9:6, John 10:30-33, Titus 2:13, John 8:58, John 20:28 and the list goes on and on. Yes the Bible is the most preserved book in all of history. No historian denies that. We have sources to back it up. Biblical manuscripts - Masoretic Text : 700 AD, Dead Sea Scrolls : 130 BC - 68 AD, Septuagint: 1st century BC, Peshitta : 464 AD, Coptic Translation : 2nd century, Vulgate : 382 AD (Latin with over 10,000 copies), Textus Receptus : 16th century The earliest New Testament writings are around 40-70 AD. Examples - The book of James, 48 AD and The book of Acts, 62 AD. The historian Josephus lived around 37-100 AD and wrote that the Old Testament had already existed and that Jesus died on the cross and that people knew He was the messiah. We have first century witnesses of Jesus’s death which is why in the Bible it says that 500+ people saw Jesus resurrected. Greek texts : 5488 old texts and 50 of them are complete New Testaments. There are also other biblical translations from that time period including Syrian, Egyptian, Arabic, Armenian, Gothic, Ethiopian and a lot more. We know with certainty that the manuscripts are reliable and that it hasn’t been corrupted. Having more translations actually adds to the validity of the scriptures. When it comes to Jesus dying on the cross, that’s history. Jesus actually died on the cross and resurrected unlike the claim that it was only made to appear that He did like the Quran states. No historian denies the death of Jesus. Denying that is to deny history. We look at outside non Christian sources like Tacitus and Josephus who wrote about the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Even Bart Ehrman said no one can deny that Jesus died on the cross because no scholar or historian denies that. We have more writings about Jesus than we do Shakespeare. Tacitus in Annals 15.44, wrote down the history of Jesus’s death. Josephus in Antiquities of the Jews, Book 18: 63-64, wrote down about Jesus’s death. Then with the Quran Islamic scholars and imams go to the hadiths to look up more about Muhammad’s life. That’s where we find out Muhammad is the most obvious false prophet of all time believing that he was possessed and got demonic revelations from satan, owned slaves, married Aisha at 6 years old and consummated the marriage at 9, killed Christian’s and Jews, robbed caravans, etc. Then we look at the history of the Quran and see in the hadiths that pages of the Quran were eaten by sheep according to Aisha - Sunan Ibn Majah 1944 And the Quran was burnt by uthman because everyone kept writing down their own versions and war almost broke out within the Islamic world because of this. - Sahih al-Bukhari 4987 Jesus is the only one who saves. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

@JOSH I appreciate ur input brother and respect you choice to be Christian but I do not read the Bible, I am Islam and solely read the Quran because believing in any other god than Allah is sin in itself although the religions are very similar to the same beliefs aside from the fact of Jesus is solely a prophet as well as the others and not the son of God or the only way to receive eternal salvation but isn't crazy how similar the religions are yet the United States is mostly a Christian based society yet it is so destructive and terrifying to alot of people but when you go to the United Arab Emirates, it is so peaceful and very low crime or harmful things going on because the people themselves fear allah and try their best having their good deeds outweigh the sin without needing the law and justice system or the "democracy" to enforce laws and put fear in people because nobody seems to actually follow their gods commandments in western society like the US, UK and many others, I hope u do you best to do good deeds brother, be safe! My question is, why come and preach and later claim you was there to learn about Islam? As a "New" Christian, surely he should read up a little before coming and preaching. @@ob1934 Being a muslim for X amount of time doesn't mean one can give dawah. It all depends on how well they have studied Islam. Most people are laymen, only few go to study academically. Thus if someone is born to a Muslim family or a revert, it all depends on education. We have amazing brothers who graduated from Madinah and are teaching/giving dawah on daily basis and this is their job. Then we have born Muslims, 0 knowledge on arabic, barely remembers the 6 article of faith, barely can recite fatiha correctly and would probably think a Imam is freestyling or misreading Fatiha if they hear it being recited in a different qira'at than what they are used to 😅 Wallahi this isn't even me exaggerating. So yeah, without knowledge dawah will be off and this is coming from experience as well.

@@cozakokotano6448 25,000 ancient documents that were written over the span of tens of thousands of years by hundreds of different people which all line up with 99% accuracy over 500 witnesses to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus and thousands of recorded ancient texts of him rising again which date to the exact time of Jesus, hundreds of thousands of archeological discoveries which prove the bible true and contradict other holy books such as the Quran, there is more historical evidence for the Bible than almost any book, story or historical event in all of world history I suggest you watch the documentary by Inspiring philosophy (the second link I sent in my last reply) of the historical proof of the resurrection or his newer videos on the credibility of the gospels or look into the archeological evidence, but either way the only person who witnessed Muhammads "prophecies" was Muhammad so your whole religion is based on taking a mans word for it as mine is based on historical undeniable evidence

Guys, everyone, when I read the verse in john 17:3, it was written: “This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” By Jesus'. I noticed that there is a comma (,) between "the only true God" and "and jesus". Which in grammar means that they are Separated and that Jesus is not considered with the father as the only true God. I know right? If the son is lacking in divine attributes such as omniscience, and we know that God according to the Bible is omniscient, wouldn’t that logically mean the son is not God then? Does the son have his own separate consciousness in which he thinks and functions like when he prays to the father multiple times in the NT? If so, it would be logically contradictory for him and the father to be the exact same being. Its either the father and son both have the exact same consciousness and will or they don’t (refuting the concept of 3 beings as 1). This is sounding a lot more like polytheism. If Jesus has the same consciousness as the father, then he wouldn’t have a need to pray to the father because that would mean one manifestation is lacking the abilities of the other. If the son has to communicate to the father to do something (asking for blessings/guidance) with the father’s permission to do that thing being needed, that would mean that Jesus’ consciousness/will is separate from the father, which would imply multiple beings rather than a singular one (polytheism).

Scripture (even the gospels) is not consistent but in the main, they show Jesus as a great teacher who was in communication with the Divine. In John, there are allusions to him being something superhuman but John is written later and has a totally different character to the other three. So it was written at a time when Jesus was beginning to be deified and so presents Jesus as he was being seen in the community of the author. If the Trinity was such an important belief, would it not be the the key message that Jesus taught again and again as he journeyed through Palestine? So it would have been mentioned time and again throughout the synoptic gospels.

Like this Young Don guy, I was a Christian who couldn't answer any of these questions. I was told that the New Testament was the "most well-preserved historical document of all time", and that "they were the exact words of Jesus". When I first encountered Islam, the idea that Jesus pbuh wasn't God or that the New Testament message has been corrupted had never even occurred to me. Within a month of studying for hours daily I had realized that even in the corrupted and inaccurate New Testament documents Jesus pbuh never claims to be God, and that the Quran is the perfectly preserved word of God. I took my shahada 8 months ago. Alhamdulillah for leading me to the straight path, and may Don be lead on the same path as well.

The earliest New Testament writings are around 40-70 AD. Examples - The book of James, 48 AD and The book of Acts, 62 AD.
The historian Josephus lived around 37-100 AD and wrote that the Old Testament had already existed and that Jesus died on the cross and that people knew He was the messiah. We have first century witnesses of Jesus’s death which is why in the Bible it says that 500+ people saw Jesus resurrected.
Greek texts : 5488 old texts and 50 of them are complete New Testaments.
There are also other biblical translations from that time period including Syrian, Egyptian, Arabic, Armenian, Gothic, Ethiopian and a lot more. We know with certainty that the manuscripts are reliable and that it hasn’t been corrupted. Having more translations actually adds to the validity of the scriptures.
When it comes to Jesus dying on the cross, that’s history. Jesus actually died on the cross and resurrected unlike the claim that it was only made to appear that He did like the Quran states. No historian denies the death of Jesus. Denying that is to deny history.
We look at outside non Christian sources like Tacitus and Josephus who wrote about the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Even Bart Ehrman said no one can deny that Jesus died on the cross because no scholar or historian denies that. We have more writings about Jesus than we do Shakespeare.
Tacitus in Annals 15.44, wrote down the history of Jesus’s death.
Josephus in Antiquities of the Jews, Book 18: 63-64, wrote down about Jesus’s death.
Then with the Quran Islamic scholars and imams go to the hadiths to look up more about Muhammad’s life. That’s where we find out Muhammad is the most obvious false prophet of all time believing that he was possessed and got demonic revelations from satan, owned slaves, married Aisha at 6 years old and consummated the marriage at 9, killed Christian’s and Jews, robbed caravans, etc.
Then we look at the history of the Quran and see in the hadiths that pages of the Quran were eaten by sheep according to Aisha - Sunan Ibn Majah 1944
And the Quran was burnt by uthman because everyone kept writing down their own versions and war almost broke out within the Islamic world because of this. - Sahih al-Bukhari 4987

I know right? If the son is lacking in divine attributes such as omniscience, and we know that God according to the Bible is omniscient, wouldn’t that logically mean the son is not God then? Does the son have his own separate consciousness in which he thinks and functions like when he prays to the father multiple times in the NT? Its either the father and son both have the exact same consciousness and will or they don’t (refuting the concept of 3 beings as 1). This is sounding a lot more like polytheism. If the son has to communicate to the father to do something (asking for blessings/guidance) with the father’s permission to do that thing being needed, that would mean that Jesus’ consciousness/will is separate from the father, which would imply multiple beings rather than a singular one (polytheism).

Scripture (even the gospels) is not consistent but in the main, they show Jesus as a great teacher who was in communication with the Divine. In John, there are allusions to him being something superhuman but John is written later and has a totally different character to the other three. So it was written at a time when Jesus was beginning to be deified and so presents Jesus as he was being seen in the community of the author. If the Trinity was such an important belief, would it not be the the key message that Jesus taught again and again as he journeyed through Palestine? So it would have been mentioned time and again throughout the synoptic gospels.
