This is my exact skin type, I’m 31 and still get breakouts plus I’m a true dry skin. I think so many people put acne with oily skin and forget about us dry folks! Also the older I get my skin has become more sensitive so I have gone to a nice minimal routine. Lastly those patches are so great. I thought they were a gimmick but they really help👏

committing to a gentle cleanser (la roche posay) and a great moisturizer (also la roche posay) has truly revolutionized my skin in just the last 2 weeks. I had awful forehead and chin breakouts until about 2 weeks ago. I think finding a moisturizer you love is key to using it regularly!! I love love love how simple and affordable my skincare is AND how quickly it’s helped clear my skin, and help minimize my pores. Thank you Dr. Dray for emphasizing less is more! I ended up cutting out everything except cleanser, moisturizer, spf during the am and my skin improved soo much!
I now use a retinol once a week at night and a chemical exfoliant twice a week at night (different than retinol) and my skin is the best it’s ever looked 😭😭

And I have never been so happy with a skincare routine. I have a dry skin which is acne prone. It’s been a nightmare to find products that are moisturizing enough but won’t break me out. Ive gotta say hydrocolloid patches have legit been the one and only thing that worked for my picking disorder, and thus my acne. I’ve spent so much money on acne medications and nothing ever works when you pick every single pimple and squeeze every comedone, like I did. Doctor tips were always “just don’t pick” _well geez I haven’t ever thought of that._ I had terrible mental health as a teen and somewhere along the way picking became a strong compulsion, like an addiction I couldn’t control. But pimple patches got in the way. It’s almost an instant reminder that you shouldn’t be picking, and when you touch your skin you can’t feel the big juicy pimple and the oil oozing pores. I can almost say it feels like skin-good skin-and that stops me from picking because my brain gets confused. I first heard about the corsrx acne patches on this channel, and have since moved on to more economical options. But I gotta say this has been the most helpful skincare advice I’ve ever gotten from anyone, including the dermatologists I see irl. Thank you Dr Dray

YES THANK YOU! My skin completely changed after accutane as a teenager and dried out. Whatever I use for dryness, breaks me out. Whatever I use for breakouts, makes my dry skin worse. It is the worsttttttttttt.

THISSSS! Took accutane when I was 16. I used to have very oily skin and ever since then my skin is SO dry. I’m 31 now and my barrier has never been the same and I’m still dealing with acne 🫠

Less is definitely more and simpler is better, wash/double cleanse, moisturize, and use sunscreen during the day, a retinoid at night, that's it! Not that my skin is perfect but it has vastly improved ever since doing only this! Thanks Dr. Dray!

Hi Dr. Dray, question for you. Do I need to put sunscreen on the pimple before the pimple patch or is the patch alone sufficient to block out UV throughout the day?

I'm so bad when I get the rare blemish. I'm 56 and I tend to overreact and want it gone as soon as I see one coming on. I know I exacerbate the problem by tending to 'burn' it with acne products...then I have to deal with the redness and dry patches that I create in the battle. I really need to take the info in the video to heart and be patient and kind to my skin. Luckily I'm not a picker or squeezer, just a chemical burner.
