I'm almost 47 and been gaming since my Atari 2600 in 1980 and whilst I still regularly play,mostly fifa, life has gotten in the way as it tends to do. I just stumbled across this video and I absolutely LOVE your passion for gaming. It's infectious. I've subbed and I look forward to watching more of you and see how much I'll reminisce about growing up with my consoles and computers.

Pikman 4 is my very first Pikman game and I’ve gotta say it’s absolutely amazing. I am HOOKED!!! For anybody on the fence about this game (like I was) I recommend playing the demo, it’s 3 hours long and you can transfer your save file if you decide to get the full game.

I’ve had the same experience with Amazon in The States lately. Anything else I order comes when it’s supposed to arrive, but anytime I preorder a game from them I get a message on launch day saying delivery has been delayed by weeks. Weird.

Got a brand new OLED switch for a steal in Akihabara and a bunch of games! Unfortunately my luggage got lost on the way back today but hopefully everything arrives safely soon!
Yeah, I gave up pre-ordering from Amazon canada almost over a decade ago, from what I recall, for a lot of preorder games, don't even order them from suppliers until release date, they don't stock them before hand, which is why they always end up 1 to 2 weeks late.
That game collection has to be tens of thousands of dollars worth. Impressive.
I got that FF Pixel Remaster collection too, as well as Pikmin 4. I haven't played a lot though. I think I got burned out on gaming after putting 200 hours into TOTK. I also bought the strategy guide and the pan is to use this guide to get all the missing shrines and gear.
I went to a retro convention in Brazil yesterday and FINALLY added Astral Chain to my collection. I also got SW Knights of the old republic for the switch. For the DS, I got pokemon Pearl, golden sun dark dawn and SW revenge of the sith
Astral Chain is a phenomenal game 🎮!! I absolutely love the combat style !! The story is gripping and the music is spectacular ✨️!!
I like these videos "New game stuff" . It's like i don't need to keep track of my backlog- If i wanna play a new game i just watch one of this videos and pick one because we have the same taste.

I just finished Afterimage this weekend!😊It's a wonderful metroidvania, I'm sure you'll love it! Today I picked up Fight'N Rage and Tunic on the Switch. Can't wait to try them!

Never got to play it back In The day.. wish I did because I was like 14 or so when it originally came out in the US, but I’m glad to have the luxury of getting to play it now!

I didn't buy any games too recently but I pulled out a box that's been in storage for years and it had some PS1 games I been missing like koudelka, MTV music generator, and RPG maker
Nice pickups. I recently grabbed Tears of the Kingdom with guide for my 40th bday, and also made a few trades and small buys. Got my first ever PSP and enjoying it so far, playing FF Tactics a little bit.
Two tips. Throw rocks at your own party members for experience. Do what you can to get all of your party members to get their job classes set as ninjas.
The video turned out to be very lively, it is clear that a lot of effort and energy has been invested. After watching your episode, the result is +100 to the mood.

i recently got an expensive copy of Trails in thew Sky 3rd Evolution Limited Edition box, so glad i was able to find some because i thought they were getting harder to find
You're the reason I finally bought a Switch and I'm so happy with it. My ps5 is finally getting a little R and R I got almost all you top 10 RPGs and I'm having the time of my life! I mean it's no ps5, but I'm shocked at what the little guy can do it's really fun thanks Johnny as always love your show man!
Amazon preorders are the same in the states, I preordered FF16 6 months ahead, and it was delivered a week after launch date.
Johnny Im so glad you picked up Raincode. I started playing it and it is awesome. So I really wanted a Dragonquest edition game console and I finally picked up the Dragonquest New 2ds LL CIB from Japan. Best part was when unboxing it, I saw that the game was still sealed. The console looks so much better in person.
I picked up DMC 5 on PS5 and The Guyver 2 on dvd.
Afterimage is really cool. If you dig Metroidvanias, you'll really like it. Challenging, gorgeous visuals, cool equipment and skills systems. I enjoyed my time with it. I recently picked up a physical copy of another Metroidvania you've talked on the channel before, Tunic. Also another one called Ghost Song.
Amazon is like that in the US too now.
Loved playing Namco games in the 90s. From Ace Combat , Point Blank, Time Crisis, Klonoa and of course Tekken, Ridge Racer series. Anytime one released you knew you were in for a treat and infinite replay. Had some great memories playing with my friends and family.
It's the same thing in Amazon in USA. I had Resident Evil Death Island pre-ordered on Amazon and they didn't ship until today. I was going to cancel mine and pick it up in store at Best Buy but nobody got it in stock. My copy is supposed to be delivered today.
I've been buying Japanese 'perfect guide' books for all my old favourite games like Shenmue! They are a cool thing to have!

I had a bunch of pre-orders come in. Valis Collection 1, Valis Vinyl, Tunic, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat vinyl (not a pre-order).
For shooters I recommend both "Valfaris" and "Psyvariar Delta". For a beat 'em up, I recommend "Jitsu Squad".
Speaking of Shooters I've just picked up Thunder Force IV for the Megadrive and loving it! Also recently picked up Rage Racer for the ps1, and a Japanese Growlanser IV: wayfarer of time DELUXE PACK that came with a figure and more! Have to say I love that PC ENGINE book, as I picked up a CORE-GRAFX II last year but I've hardly any games for it, so that book would be a great guide!

hello, big STG guy here, love to see you getting into shooters, I just started getting consistent 1CCs, just a heads up though, some of those shooters that are not from M2 have extreme input lag on the switch, really recommend getting most of them on ps4 or PC. I do have a bunch on switch as well but you really got to do your research before getting any shooter on switch. BATSUGUN has double the input lag on switch for example.

The Pc Engine book looks beautiful, I love art books like that.
It's hard to find stores near me that sell video game books. I love collecting guidebooks specifically, but man the closest retro game store is like 90 min drive away.
Used to be able to go to Booksamillion and find cool stuff but they always only have like 10 books to look at in this genre.

Dragon Quest 7 & 8 on the 3DS, first time playing this series and so far I'm really enjoying 7. 93 hours in and nearly at the end now I think!
Amazon often does the same thing for me in the states when it comes to preorders.
I've also had some delays with Amazon here in the U.S. Best Buy has delivered most of my new releases day one and I'm not paying extra for it either. On the other hand, I have an Amazon Prime account and I still don't get most of my new releases day one. Not a big deal, but it's something that I noticed happening more often as of lately.
7 hours? It took me around 15 hours to finish the first one. It was also my first time playing so I had no previous knowledge of where to go or what to do.
I've picked up a few things recently
Kirby Dreamland 2 Game & Manual, Kirby Nightmare In Dreamland Game Only, Fire Emblem Awakening Complete, Operation-C Game Only, and Hexen on PS1 Complete with a PRISTINE Mirror Shine Disc! No Scratches!
I've been playing Ray Storm on PS1! Definitely need that collection.
Wow, this was a great episode you covered here. I love how you're sharing with us some of the new games you want to play but also more importantly, a walk down memory lane for you. I've never heard of the PC Engine but hearing you talk about it so fondly is reminding me of when I was super excited for the SNES. I've never been a big shooter game fan but back then on the Genesis we played the M.U.S.H.A (don't ask me what is stood for) and it was a gorgeous shooter game we played so many times as a family. You can never be too old to enjoy video games. I wanna see that PC Engine book just to peruse and enjoy pretty old school drawings of yesteryear. The last item that was shared definitely is the highlight of this episode - wow! I want that drinking vessel - so cool!!
Remnant II has eaten up quite a bit on my time this week. As well as Dianlo IV.
However, I've found myself diving into a newly created character on Final Fantasy XIV and taking it all in from the very beginning. And considering the Fan Fest just announced the 7.0 expansion, Dawntrail for next summer, I see myself drowning in all that Eorzea has to offer for a good long while.
I finished master detective archives rain code and I really loved it! Some of the ending I guessed, some of it I was waaaayyyyyy off and some I had no idea about, but looking back I just missed the hints! I hope it’s successful enough we get another one, very fun
I’m so glad you brought up that Blade Runner game! I’m younger than you but my parents never hid media from me so I was 7 when I played it on Windows 99. Honestly scared the hell out of me when murderers popped out to get you. Still underrated point and click game
Amazon in the States is bad too as games are rarely available for release day delivery. I don't bother anymore and go right to Best Buy. Great video and that last one from SE was amazing!
Recently I got Diofield Chronicle and Ty The Tasmanian Tiger on my PS5/PS4 respectively recently. I have been playing a lot of Rain Code and It is definitely one of my top game of the year contenders! Thanks for all the work you do each and every week. I am about to turn 40 in September and gaming has been a part of my entire life since I was 4 . My parents were gamers and I have always been very enthusiastic and passionate about video games so seeing or getting to talk to others who are equally passionate makes me not feel so alone.

I was finally remembering to go back to Diofield and I do like it! Got it somewhere around Christmas.. I guess I suck tho because even after doing a lot of grinding the wolf boss still kicked my ass!! I seem to have better luck with Fire Emblem & Redemption Reapers..

SE released an American version on their website that sold out. The play Asia version is the exact same version. It even has inner artwork where as the English version is plain white.

I pick up on the Switch: Tunic, Double Dragon Gaiden, Front Mission, and Ghost Song in which I haven't opened them up yet..
Wow I has initially panned front mission remakes but seeing the gameplay here makes me want to check them out. I bet those will be collectors items and worth something in the future.
So many peeps collecting for Switch I can only think of how saturated the market will be when it is on the 2nd hand "retro" era. 😄
