Really enjoyed this video. I will be at the Nurburgring in a couple of weeks time and I am definitely there for the touring aspect and to have a bit of fun at the track and to me this looks like you rode within your limits with a view to have fun and return home safely. Well done!
Thank you, that is exactly the mentality i had - it was a track i've been wanting to ride for a long time but it demands so much respect because things can (and do) easily go wrong, so i had a great time, rode well within my limits and got back safe.
+Mikee T would have sounded even better if id have plugged the bloody mic into the gopro lol. I moved over for a lot of the cars and was overly careful since it is the most dangerous track in the world. It gets closed due to accidents most days and i didnt fancy the recovery fee back to the uk if i stacked it lol... Ticked it off the bucket list anyway,glad i did because it is an amazing place.. Onwards and upwards! 😀
Looks fun and its great to a demonstration on how you should approach your first few times on a track. You can start chasing the clock after you got a feeling for the track itself
Just found this vid, I've got an '18 mt10, this would be on my bucket list. And yeah, I'd be tippy toeing it too around there. Like the other guy said, "the green hell" will bite you! Great vid!
thanks mate, yea i heard too many horror stories about big recovery bills if you crash on that track and I also needed to ride it back to England lol - so I had my fun and kept well within my limits and all was well - :-)
It seems like the MT-10 maybe too much bike for that track. fun nonetheless. I think the fastest I have gone in mine is about 140 MPH I believe the bike stock can do 169 max.. we don't have roads here (USA) were you can go that fast without taking a huge risk. and tracks are expensive plus you deal with people judging you too much, I don't want to pay to be judged..
Renegade thanks. I wrecked my last camera and want to get a new one. I'm leaning towards the gopro but I want clear exhaust sound so was maybe going to try and set a mic up near the exhaust with something that cuts down wind noise.
@Michael yea, a few bangs and pops every now and then after the pipe was installed, could probably do with setting it up properly on a Dyno. It never bothered me though tbh.
I guess I'd need to put my stock huge mirrors back on...learn the track and give them cages/cars hell. :) The fastest bike riders with superbikes and slicks can't beat a super car around this track with an expert driver...a motorcycle can do low to mid 7min times...actual street legal super cars 6:45-7:15. This track is crazy fast...I would never drive on it with cars...hell no.
REDLINE RUNNER not in the corners... and guys who can drive the track with there eyes closed because they live in the area are way less careful then a biker that goes on it for the first time.. u gotta have balls to get on that track !

Great ride, did this in the rain the first time. I don’t recommend it without a slipper clutch. Nice to see you rode at your own pace.

Nice video. I did a quick go pro test the other day and all I could hear was wind. What mic do you use and where is it mounted.
its just a lapel mic mouted inside the chin piece, this video explains my set up...

is your speedo km or mph?
speedo on the bike was left in mph because my satnav shows me kph
what settings were the throttle and traction controls on? nice video btw
Power was in B mode, which is the most powerful option, TC was either on the lowest setting or off, can't remember.
What pipe you got on her, sounds sweet.. sounds raspy
