Jiu jitsu purple belt here, a week looks like this
Sunday: heavy lower body lift and explosive upper body exercises
    Monday: Gi BJJ
Tuesday: heavy upper body lift explosive lower body exercises
    Wednesday: No Gi BJJ
    Thursday: No Gi BJJ
Friday: Hypertrophy focused full body lift

No lies my bro, I've been gyming for around a year and a half and I've been doing Muay Thai for about 3-4 months now, the confidence from just trying to improve your life and being in the uncomfortable situations like sparring or just practicing can really translate to other areas of your life. I use to be really hot headed and angry a couple years ago but now I feel like I've found calmness and have control, slow improvements will happen it just comes with experience. I definitely recommend picking up any forms of fighting and trying different things if it doesn't feel right, 95% of the time you meet the most kind, helpful and welcoming people who are capable of fucking people up ahahah

on the part of emotional control. ive found it incredibly beneficial and cathartic for me to listen to metal music and go to concerts sometimes. i dont drink or smoke. but i do mosh.
and i'll just say this isnt necessary. you dont need to be part of a music scene but that is just my way of letting out the bad side of me that i keep locked away till i need it most. the side of me that will kill without question if my life depended on it.
of course you dont try to hurt anyone in the pit. but you do shove and slam and get all that energy out there as well.

Also important imo what my psychiatrist told me, affirmations dont work unless you trully believe in them so if you tell yousrself that you are confident and dont believe in it then it wont work so you need to logicsally and rationally answer yourself why u are confident.

    • @AnethamMMA
      @AnethamMMA  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

That’s very true, but that’s why you take action on small things. Because it gives you those small wins/proof of why you’re a certain way. Say for example you want to be confident. You tell yourself you’re confident everyday, and everyday you do at-least one small thing out of your comfort zone. At some point you will truly become confident. So it’s not just saying the affirmations. It’s getting small wins also. (Proof basically)

I would turn the cold water to the max and sit underneath and try to stay calm and focus on breathing. Semen retention is another powerful method too. Martial arts wise I would choose Muay Thai it is one of the most deadly arts out there.

I think if you want a good physique there’s nothing bad about training specifically like a bodybuilder (because you won’t get that big) but always make sure you do cardio (sprints specifically) and do some more fight specific exercises.
Fight specific exercises can be stuff like sandbag lifts, throws, squats and rotations and most importantly hitting bags.
Bodybuilding can help for a few reasons you have to gain strength (progressive overload), it’s harder to wrestle heavier/ strong people and yoj can use your weight to fight.

Add a "No phone period" into your schedule. Whether it's a whole day or a few hours a week whatever. But learn to leave that phone at home and go out without it. No phone, no music, no book... Just you and nature. Does wonders. It's meditation without the awkwardness of trying to "meditate".
    Good luck guys

My boyfriend is a weapon. Here is his workout:
Equipment need is a back pack or weighted vest, ankle weights, and wrist weights. Put all of this on for the whole workout and be realistic about the weight you are holding.
Go for a 100m sprint then take a 30 second breather then jog till you can't.
    Push ups until you can't
Then practice punching and kicking. He said form is more important than how many reps you do.
The next workout only requires Luke warm water. Either shower or bath is fine, a pool or beach is ideal.
Simply emerse yourself in water and move around as much as you feel is comfortable doing whatever it is that will increase your heart rate.
Next up learn grapple techniques, this can be off TH-cam, or taking classes. Specifically learn to break joints, it's easier then you think.
Second to last is to learn to take a punch. Get some buddies to put on gloves and spar with, your job is to keep them at bay but not actually throw any significant strikes, their job is basically to beat the living day lights out of you.
If you have no buddies, you're gonna have to do it yourself and I'm sure you'll figure it out, such as hanging bottles and swinging them so you have an object to avoid, throwing a hand ful of small stones in the air over and over. Either way, feel pain and learn to move avoid getting hit.
Finally, learn to deal with stress, put yourself in uncomfortable positions that trigger adrenaline. Even something silly like going to a fastfood chain and asking if they sell tvs. Anything that makes you uncomfortable. Because when you fight, you'll be in flight or fight mode. "The closer a man is to calm, the closer he is to strength.
He also mentioned learning basic yoga or some kind of activity that allows you to stretch.
And to eat plenty of healthy food. And if you have to ask "What healthy food?!" Then you should get off the internet for a few weeks and reassess your life.
This is not for everyone, this is just what works for him. I cannot at all guarantee this will work for you. Also he is not a professional fighter or in any special forces group.
If you read this whole thing you're a legend.

I think if you want to be a human weapon, you should do like Baki Training, training for all physical and brain abilities + combat training, because if you know how to fight but you are not able to generate strength its not very effective, but if you can run fast, move fast, jump high, you are flexible, mobile, you are strong in all means (absolute strength, power, bodyweight, explosive strength, grip strength), you have strength endurance, power endurance etc.... + knowing how to fight would make you a real human weapon, but the thing its that its very difficult to train everything at once if you don't have the neccesary time to it, for example I can do it simply because my hobby is training so I can combine all those things, but for most people they can't so the best way to organize it its doing a periodization (choose 1-3 abilities and train it in that cycle, achieve the goals you have and change the abilities) + efficiency (trying to get maximum results with less effort and time spent) + combat training. But good vide straight into the point, also I recomend you putting the time charts of each part you are talking on the video, 0:41 - Becoming Strong etc... that would made easier to people go the points they want or know what points you are talking, btw have a nice bro

Aye bro so jw whats wrong with push pull legs ? For training for a physical ( i do muay thai)

    • @AnethamMMA
      @AnethamMMA  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I wouldn’t say anything is wrong with it. It’s just gonna make you really fatigued for your combat sport. And on top of that it’s too much on your body depending on how much Muay Thai you do. I think you can still train Muay Thai and do ppl, I did it. But really if you want more out of your Muay Thai. Switch to full body or upper lower.

Good luck making it through training. The attrition rate is stupid high. You'd need a ridiculous amount of drive and even better physical capacity to make it through. I've met guys in the Navy that were dropped from aircrew school not voluntarily but because they physically couldn't handle training and either drowned or fainted. And the only one that really trains you to be a combatant is SEAL and BUD/S is way harder than aircrew. It's probably a better path to pick a different rate and do a collateral like VBSS.

Yes guns make people even. But if you get in a fist fight and shoot somebody you're going to prison. 'I feel my life was in danger' doesn't work like you think it does. There's situations required to be able to use deadly force like a gun.
