My dad and I worked together briefly on a few big projects including a commercial building. Now he is retired but still helps me out from time to time with small stuff at work. Even though it wasn't always easy, looking back I really enjoyed working with my dad and wish it wasn't such a short amount of time that ended so abruptly. Those were exciting times and the feeling of working side by side with your dad is almost indescribable. We're lucky to have fathers who care about us, because there are so many out there who hate their dad or don't even know who he is. Cherish the time you spend with yours, as I do. Keep up the good work boys, can't wait to see the garden wall finished!

Brilliant video Stu loved those pies!
The builder I have used in the past was at the time my nearest neighbour so on a Friday I used to treat him and his colleague to fish and chips! Not many bricks were laid on Friday afternoon but as I was doing the labouring for them I was glad about that!
    Cheers mate.👍👍👍

I am staying in South Africa and admire your talent and the fact that your father is doing it with you . In South Africa we talk about braai whereas in other countries they taljk about barbecue.

Stu, i started serving my time, done three years out the four. My third year was city and guilds advanced craft bricklaying, missed the silver trowel by one mark. Thought I knew it all, so my fourth year left my apprenticeship and went to work with a squad on pricework. Great idea at the time, but never done my skills test, so never finished my apprenticeship. Now with this Cscs card, it’s as if I never done anything. How do I go about getting my card and getting on site legally with the proper card. I’ve been going on sites with a labourers card, and building away, but I want the card I’m entitled to, any advice?
