Kids nowadays want to be in charge instead of learning from the ground up. What a master bricklayer does takes years of training and doing. What a planner/estimator, designer, and coordinator, plus a customer service person, is beyond most people's ability. I left out the myriad of additional tasks. It leaves little time for a life. The immaculate and precise results are breathtaking. Thank you for bringing us along!
@counseloridealist I fully agree it all takes a lot of time to even try and master each individual task and I thank you for recognising that .The job lots of us do doesn't gain much respect people stereotype it . 35 years in ive a lot to still learn when I'm retired I still wouldn't of learned it all . Very good comment and I've tried to keep my son grounded and focused he wants to learn so his journey has begun. Really good post that appreciate you sharing your views. Justin 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping In today's world, it can sometimes feel like there's a rush to skip steps and get to the top, but the reality is that true mastery comes from building a strong foundation first. The work you describe is a testament to that-it's not just about laying bricks; it's about creating something truly remarkable through years of effort and dedication...
Another quality brickwork lesson - thank you Justin. Loving the brickie banter with Fraser - he’s picking it up well. Looking forward to the next one - this is a fantastic project, the homeowner picked a great contractor for this project 👍 The French drain behind the wall is an excellent idea - something that I shall file away for the future 👍
Great explanation and a great job. You mentioned sympathy? I think you can find it in the dictionary between s**t and syphilis 😂. Keep up the great work guys.
Good stuff lads. Steps ain’t easy . I was never shown how to do them . I had to work it out myself . Shame TH-cam wasn’t around then . Great tutorial 🙌🏽🙌🏽🧱👍🏽
First of all, I really appreciate the series and your explanations, so thanks! My question is: assuming I don't care about how the weep holes look if I use more than one as you suggested could be an alternative, can I then just not bother about the tube behind the wall? Would I still back fill with the rocks like you did?
At 0:50 I have a similar front garden issue. My neighbours side to the left is 1 to 1.5ft higher than my garden ie my section of the garden that meets that side is the same height with a stone wall ie 1.5ft high But the rest of my garden is 1.5ft lower. I wanted to level my garden and wanted to know if I would need any footings to retain 1.5ft of soil or could I use a gravel board fence and concrete posts? Sorry just need some advise
Coming back to this as I’m close to the drainage stage (finally) and I’m wondering how those land drains are connected to that weephole. Are they simply left without end caps so the water freely runs in that area so it eventually comes out of that weephole? I saw a bit of plastic in that weephole so I’m wondering if that’s a special weephole contraption or just a bit of something for another purpose shoved in there?
No special fixing or connector Marcus. The plastic piece set in the wall is just a bit of square guttering. I left the open end of the land drain up against the bit of gutter so any water can flow out mate . Hope that helps you 👍
Hi do you lay a border around the patio first lab up to it or opposite way around cheers and being layed on a stone. & dust mix but struggling with it any help will be great I love where this job is if you wanna pop around to give advice 👍

@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping thanks mate. Glad you said that as I plan on using Indian sandstone and I’ve worked out my measurements with 10mm joints 😆 Is using sand and cement archaic now and is it better to use a modern product?
Ha, ha...us brickies are something else! Too cold.... can't lay in that, the frost will ruin it Too hot.....bloody mortar will dry too quickly Too windy....my wall will blow over if I build too high Too wet.....bricks and mortar will be swimming all over the shop We're never happy for long, but we still love the job for some bizarre reason 😂😂
Sorry mate I know you've responded to me once already, but I've watched about 6 times, and also a lot of your other vids and am getting near the point in my DIY project where I need to think about drainage. First q: what are you using as the weep hole? 100mm by 100mm pvc is hard to find apparently... and second, where the land drains 'aim' at the weep hole, are they just dumping water there, or are they connected to the weep hole bit somehow? Thanks again - let me know if I can pay for a lunch for you guys somehow since your help is really appreciated.
@unfair_dinkum Weep.hole.is from.screw fix was a length of 65 or 75mm square downpipe. All the land drains are angled so if water does enter them the water will flow to the weep hole . There is no connection to the weep hole but the land drains are placed right at the exit point of the weep hole . Hope that helps you out good luck 👍
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen or naproxen can help manage pain and inflammation. In severe cases, surgery might be necessary to remove the calcium deposits. This is usually done arthroscopically, meaning small incisions are made, and a camera is used to guide the procedure...
@lucianaldritch3409 Very good advice I appreciate you sharing it .The pain is intense from it having a guided cortisol injection Thursday another £450 quid but hopefully it helps. Been diagnosed privately waiting for nhs now for next steps .wish me luck probably take years . Appreciate you take care Lucian thanks 👍
