It's amazing to listen to such a guy descibing what it was like in early China and why he aimed at "see the outside world" all the way...how many of us still take it as a goal to go further to broaden our horizon?
It's great to give up a kind of livelihood to pursue his dream at 80s
I find it astonishing that a phone in Beijing in 1993 cost RMB 5,000. That would have been a lot of money now but back then it was astronomical.
