If you’ve forgotten, we are building a heating massage pen, specifically for use on jaw pain.
I’ve personally seen how little attention is given to TMJ disorders by products, doctors and information sources in general. So in this series, I’m not stopping at a prototype. We’re going to keep developing until we have a fully fledged product that others get to use.
In this episode, both the electronics and casing start to really come together. But with our new focus on safety, we are far from done.
If you're interested in how to do product design, development, engineering, 3d printing, marketing, sales, branding - the list goes on - then subscribe. More is always on its way.

Have you considered using a self adjusting PID to control the heat? Interesting stuff but is used in a lot of heating a cooling applications and a lot of other stuff as well.

Hey, good tip, I’ve definitely thought about it. But right now my problem is temp feedback not the loop itself. Like there’s no problem using bang bang heat control as long as we start and stop around the correct set point. Which is why we have the thermistor now :)

You can add subtitles. It helps

Cool video, glad you're making progress. Background music is too loud, though.

Impressive work. I would recommend lowering the volume of the music in editing next time as it's hard to understand you over the music.
