I will not watch this team anymore until they take Simon’s and Ayton out of the starting lineup. It bugs me that much how those two players only play for money. Both of them have the same issue after they got their great big contracts. The fire went out. They don’t want to work for anything anymore. It’s absolutely disgusting to me, especially thinking they made more games than extent makes a year and they can’t give 100%. Ugh
this team isnt too good to tank but I do like our core and where we're headed, add a young wing with superstar potential like flagg or bailey and this team is going places.
@@Fox250Rany team at any time can beat you. With the changes we saw who’s to say the Blazers won’t be in contention. Clingan is not used to losing. Hurley taught him well.
They have talent. Teams should always try to win. I would quit being a fan if they quit trying to win. It’s morally wrong to quit trying. They need to work on team chemistry. They are finally discovering good combinations of players. They needed a rebounder and inside defender and found him with Clingan. It’s good for the team mentally to have some success. Their confidence is much better already. They can easily make the playoffs if they keep trying and keep improving. Duop Reath has size and can shoot. Banton is very good, Thybulle is a fantastic defender and will improve when he gets playing time. The other new center had a fantastic game so they now have talent and depth. Several other new Blazers are very good. Go Blazers!
Ha! Luckily there is no recent evidence of them actively losing on purpose that would've soured you on an otherwise righteous and morally sound franchise
@ My girlfriend from 1980-87 would take me to see games at the Coliseum because her parents had season tickets. Courtside seats across from the visitor bench. On the floor with no one in front of us. It was amazing. I saw about half of the home games because she split the games with her brother. I probably saw 100 games. I have pictures of Jordan as a rookie before he was famous. I was lucky. They had a Mexican restaurant too. I was spoiled.
I think the young guys are hungry and healthy. None of the players that earned those 2 games have been paid yet. I think Grants veteran presence does just enough to calm the troops when they get hit with a haymaker. With the emergence of Murrey and Rupert who appear to be gaining traction by the minute this team is playin bound %100....caveat being simons and ayton don't play another game for Portland. This team is learning to play for eachother and have the young legs to outlast the rest of the West for playoff birth.
Agreed but that’s assuming they are not intending to tank which I think they will, as much as I dislike it. Next years draft class looks like it will be very good, even if they don’t manage to capture the Flagg
They could win it all if they gain confidence and keep working on team chemistry because they have the talent and depth. They had been missing size and rebounding and interior defense. The good teams have a good rebounder like Rodman or Barkley, an inside force and Portland has a few larger and tougher players now who can rebound and be a force inside. Missing just a few role players can be catastrophic. They have plugged a few large holes. Once they get rolling it will help team confidence and more players will improve who lack confidence now. Even the starters who aren’t doing well will improve because the pressure will be off of them. Winning and confidence is contagious.
No, this is the last year we need to intentionally tank. If we could grab Flagg or Bailey, that would complete this young core and we can focus on refinement after that. But no, we are 100% not too good to tank lol
My prediction is Grant and Timelord will be traded before the deadline. Grant to LA has too much steam after all the talk in the offseason, how well Bron/AD/Reaves are playing, and how frustrating DLo has been. Timelord to Houston for Adams and draft capital makes too much sense as well, I see that happening as long as he stays healthy. I could still see Ant going to Orlando (1st in defense, 27th in offense) if he gets back to the level we know he can play at. Just don’t see it with Ayton. His contract is grotesque, I don’t see any contending teams being fooled into thinking he could help them win games, and don’t see any rebuilding teams believing he will actually help them in the future. Of all the teams out there New Orleans would make the most sense since he matches BI and CJ. Especially if they trade Ant I wouldn’t mind seeing CJ come back, he’d be a great vet to have
Yes Simon’s and Ayton are the massive pink elephants on and off of the court. They already got paid and have no interest in playing with fire. Being horrible defenders for the most part is indicative of what I’m trying to say here it rubs off on the players. Simon’s is a small scared kid and Ayton knows all he has to do is make those mid range jump shots to hold his value. He could care less about a championship. That would cut into his vacation plans. He’s perfectly content in playing only in the regular season. Playoffs mean extra work.
Ok, this trade works: DA to Pelicans BI to Warriors Kuminga and Wiggins to the Blazers. Maybe we get some picks here as well, would anyone in Blazerdom do this?
Verrier looks like he has the same Bill Walton pic with a rose in his hand like Mike has..Man Walton was one of a kind..I agree they are already out of the Flagg sweepstakes..would like to see new ownership/P Knight..Trade Ant and DA
Honestly its just the pain of watching a young point guard play they make silly mistake but the offense definitely runs more smooth and functional with scoot running point. We're not in a rush to win games so just give him time too develop.
@@jtthomas7349The Blazers already have players that can be potential "stars". As we have seen, the N.B.A. Draft does not guarantee anything. The Blazers would not be in the 8th seed "forever" if their curre talent improves throughout their careers.
@@MatthewSmith-db1ig Exactly! So many Blazers fans think the NBA draft is like the NFL- the worst team automatically gets the first pick. Tanking doesn’t guarantee getting Flagg
@MatthewSmith-db1ig um yes it would all but guarantee long term mediocrity. As far as I can see Sharpe is the only potential STAR we have and you need more than one. Trade Ant and Ayton. Play young guys.

They’ve been better without them the last couple games.

Even if we don’t get flagg we can get edgecomb or bailey there are good players in the draft that could fit perfectly in the rotation
The crossover episode I didn't expect but its perfect. Locked on Blazers + GC are always on rotation for me! Keep it up boys
