C&C Tiberian Sun- An RTS Gem I Wish I Hadn't Missed

- Hello my friends, it's been a while( I always say that, I know). But sometimes it's best to take your time and learn about the content you show. And did I ever learn a lot about Tiberian Sun. Despite my critique during the video Tiberian Sun is a great ( not good) game, I stand corrected after completing it now. I can't believe out of all the RTS I played around this time, I did not spend enough on this one. Lets hope this continues with Red Alert 2 coming up next. To me it might still be my favorite C&C game.
I might be wrong but I think there was a hidden construction rally point command. Something like right click while the building is selected. Or Ctrl+Right-Click.
As a sidenote I would recommend checking out Battle Realms, which was really interesting for its time.
I started RTS with red alert as it came bundled with my family's first pc. I was hooked. Tiberian Sun holds a real soft spot for me, I bought it at launch, I was only around 10 or 11 and I loved it.
Your review seems fair but I think some appreciation for how well this game ran on old hardware is justified. I was still playing on a pentium 2 and this ran fine, improved when I upgraded. The story is also great, as cheesy as parts are, it's interesting with the right mix of sci-fi and mystery.
In terms of gameplay, it was a revolution compared to red alert 1 and especially c&c1. The lack of air and absence of sea was notable, even I was surprised by it, but for most of the game it didn't feel necessary. It was also so moddable that this was addressed in modifications.
At the time it was amongst the best and I would buy a remaster immediately. I'm looking forward to your RA2 video as that game was so incredibly solid and fun.
I remember first seeing and playing this game at a get together party of my father's music group. I found it far more interesting than mingling with other people, although, I think the other kids were playing or watching someone play Super Mario RPG on a SNES.

I can appreciate C&C, I was first exposed to Warzone 2100, on the PS1, and then starcraft on PC. C&C had its own appeal like the other two did, I love them all, Warzone 2100 is my favorite though.
This is my top C&C game for sure. Love how cool unites and buildings are and the cutseens are sweet. Game needs a remaster for sure and red alert 2.
Great video! one of my favorite RTS games. I really enjoyed the creepy Sci-Fi theme.

This game is fun but it does feel somewhat rough and unpolished compared to how solid Red alert 2 is.
Sounds like their AI enemy is Nexus from Warzone 2100.

tiberian sun disappointment say the least, and it's not like it was due being overhyped since that had died long ago.
l think it's was delayed over and over again, so by time it released it was already outdated.
