Been there twice in the early 2000’s when Audi was really tearing it up. Such a great time!! The people were amazing, huge party, fast cars, three days long. There is nothing else like it

LMH weight: 1030KG GTE weight: 1245KG (there are no GT3 cars in WEC racing) - 200KG in a racing car is huge, as well as the LMH cars having circa 100bhp extra, and 4WD.

I thought I was watching at 0.75x speed, but no, it's really that slow. Wake me up when current WEC management is in retirement so that some real motorsport people can bring back something like LMP1-H or even better.
yeah, not even hitting 300kph, the hybrid lmp1 were so good acclerating even quicker than F1 with all the hybrid power, it is really a shame, the new hypercars are lame ducks, it looks like the cars weighs a metric ton and just has 600 bhp

It's the original concrete from when it was an Air Force base in World War 2. The bumps are one of the things that make endurance racing here so unique; in terms of wear, Audi was once quoted saying 12 hours at Sebring is the same wear as 48 hours at Le Mans. That's why the teams love coming here; it's a big stress test of their design. If it doesn't break at Sebring, it's gonna last.
The bumps are what makes this track fascinating and fun. They’re not pot hole type of bumps that are very harsh, the original WW2 concrete pads are no longer level which causes the vehicles to undulate and puts the suspension to the test, also sometimes non-optimal race lines are faster to avoid certain bumps.

I understood why Sebring is popular. It is just a flat track on a piece of land. Every good track has elevation.
The track surface is unlike any other. It’s so shit to race on it became a challenge that drivers love
