So happy to see it return. It's gotta be top 5 in terms of most iconic Gran Turismo cars.
I feel like stuff like this should have been there day one. They Promise the world with the live service. Just add one or two cars every like couple of months

I think it's incredible the care that the people at polyphony have with the modeling of each Granturismo car, different from other companies out there cof cof Playground games
Playground games has actually improved quite a few of the original Turn 10 models.
What's funny is that Turn 10 used none of these updated models made by Playground for Forza 8. I think they redid the 22B in house and that's it.

Ofc if you want to get 1million credits you have the grind the same events and that’s very annoying but are you playing to grind or playing to actually race?

@@truckercowboyed2638 I race all the time brother, I'm just sick of the same old "daily weekly races" format we've had since GT sport. You'd think they would add some more variety, or even real qualifying before a race. Imagine that?
I think silverstone could be a great track for GT7 to add most likely bringing in alot of new players and increasing the playerbase because of just how iconic it is

We're starting to reach the point where each update feels less significant as we progress through the game's lifespan. They are free updates and I'm grateful for that, but the fact that Lake Louise is the only track to come out in the last 12 months feels pretty uninspiring.
About why we have Highspeed Etoile anime decals: the anime project is actually backed by Super Formula, Toyota Gazoo Racing and Honda HRC among other motorsport related companies, could be because of those sponsorships
The wiper in cockpit view cleaning all parts of the windshield except the one where you look at the track is something else lmaooo

Crazy how they made this Gr 2 when it has the power to compete in Gr 1
The pops and bangs on the over run is tingling me in the naughties.
Not sure if anyone has talked about this but I would love to see PD add historical layouts, like the original Le Mans or Monza (with the oval added back in). Would spice up the tracks that are already in-game.

Very glad for the return of the GT One it's very strong on the WTC 900 Le Mans race also it's a really descent pick for the Sardegna 800 money race as well.

Actually I think it completely makes sense that this car resides in group 2 along with the CLK and the F1 GTR as they were all part of the Group 1 (ironic) regulations of the 90's where manufactures were using their "street legal" homologation specials. All we need now is a proper Gr.2 version of the 911 GT1, or possibly even the single model in existence of the street legal version of the GT-One.
tl:dr the GT-One doesn't belong in Gr.1 because it was part of GT1
Not quite, and it's quite a bit complicated.
The '98 car was, indeed, part of the GT1 class. The '99 car, however, is a different story - as the car was modified to run under LMGTP, it's faster than the Group C cars lap-wise (when factoring in changes to the track and the tech advancements in the few years since the end of Group C).

Sure it's a great car everyone agrees there, but IMO what really makes this update stand out for me as great is the fact that they've FINALLY added the ability to preview and like/repost liveries and decals through GT Auto, rather than only having that option in the Showcase menu, huge deal that.
So good, lets goo! Wish me luck, my hips and legs have been having issues. Im partially disabled. Im using the mclaren gt3 rim for gas and brake. Im adapting better then I thought. May actually need to stick with this. So again wish me luck in the futute to get as good this way as pedals! Lol

This is a legendary car of the GT series. Gt2 was the first racing game that i play back in 2002. Remember to playing with my bigger cousins

1999 Toyota GT-ONE in Gran Turismo 7 on Group 2 car is way too OP. It even can easily annihilate LMGT3 and Super GT Cars with it.
I loved it when the GT-One said, “It’s GT-Onein’ time and GT-Oned all over the place.
That high speed race truly brought a smile to my face.
Hmm the wiper placement is weird though, it wipes above where you look at the road, and yet the water still got wiped for some reason. I can't unsee it.
we really need a gr1 daily race. even if they only let us use some of the cars to balance it out a bit
In le mans 1999, the only car that could out pace the Toyoto GTR Race Car one, was the Mercedes benz CLK 1998 , and even still the Toyota came out on top because unlike the CLK. they don't have wings. Truly a legendary car, about time they brought it back into the game, haven't reakky seen it since GT3.
Not quite. For correction, Mercedes' Le Man challenger for '99 is the CLR, and the reason why its flip became the stuff of meme legends was because of the lack of frontal downforce.

I’m back with GT after not playing for well over 10 years and not playing regularly since the very first Gran Turismo, back in the days of playing Colin Mcrea rally and GT after school on ps1.
In regards to that PD letter to the community, it might take two years to create cars & tracks, but no excuse to take that long to add endurance races & 24 hour race events that they personally promised, at this point I really don't expect them to ever be added, that letter has been completely forgotten at this point, unless the community comes knocking loudly on PD door again, don't see it happening.
You can create your own 24 hour race if you want....do you need help in custom race?? It's not that difficult.
I think there should be a few more categories, for example where 80-90s lemans cars would be, then the 50-60 race cars. The old beasts don't get use hardly ever.

Just looking at this, it seems the CLK LM gets on power sooner but the GT-One catches up later as it continually pulls (It reminds me alot of that similar comparison between the Mitsubishi Evo GR.3 and the Toyota GR Supra Racin Concept).

Been a short while since I've watched some SuperGT, and you're still super at GT!
Don't know how many miles I put into that car in Gran Turismo 4 as a kid. Greatly revered by me and my brother. The only car that could legitimately take it to the Formula 1 cars in the Formula 1 championship because of its downforce and lesser tyre wear compared to the Minolta. It was still mad fun to drive in GT6. Can't wait to try it in Gran Turismo 7.
You can give the F1's a hiding in the 787B as well as the Minolta, run super hards and you'll get a pitstop overlap
@@lachychops2 we were kids, man. Who knows what kind of assists we were running on, and we didn't have the pace in the Minolta to run on the Super Hards. Our strategy back then was to run the GT One with hards at the rear, and mediums on the fronts, and depending on the track, go one compound harder with that layout. Of course, harder rear tyres cause more understeer to cars theoretically, but we knew nothing about stuff like that. We probably never even changed the aero settings or anything like that. We just upgraded the engine, probably set the car to as low as it could go, and hoped and prayed we could win the championship 😂😂😂

One of the oddest thigns for me, recently picked up a PS2, never played GT3 and 4 so decided to give em a play through, literally had just bought the Toyota-one in GT3 when it was announced for GT7, the simulation is breaking down

I realized that GT7 is capable to transcend itself sometimes… and when it’s the case I even don’t recognize it, it’s so good……
I definitely think GT7 is only good with racing cars AND top level drivers.
I think I didn’t succeed to follow that level to be able to enjoy the game like you do.
My rig is too old now, rSeat RS1, Thrustmaster T-GT, it’s frustrating me.
Maybe I’m wrong but I feel without a DirectDrive it’s too difficult to keep up a high level at that game (and all the recent sims btw)

absolutely love this car, i only play GT7 on my psvr2 and it’s unreal to drive, got a new steering wheel yesterday so been putting myself through the paces on the new TT, managed a 1:35.04 so far , slowly getting there but it’s mad AF going from a G29 to a thrustmaster T-GT2 😂💪
I am not a vieogame dev, but adding more than only three world circuit events (and single player content in general) shouldn't be harder than adding 3 cars every update. the game has been getting better but at a very slow pace when it has the potencial to do way more than that

Well, it _was_ in Gran Turismo 5, 6, etc. I'm still waiting for the 1995 Skyline N1. They've already brought back the 400R.
Because it was a standard car in ps2 quality and needed to be built from scratch,
They have backlogs. It's PD's decisions on what cars they decided to push. Cars built from the ground took 9 months.

Why are gr. 2 races so rare on the daily weekly races? Am I the only one who thinks each week there should be a gr. 4, gr.3, gr, 2 race and maybe an open wheel race and a dirt race?
