Sega Dreamcast Thermal Pad Replacement Cooling mod

After 20 years the thermal pads for heat dissipation are bound to wear out so I ordered new ones and install them in my Sega Dreamcast. Is this maintenance step necessary? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Just in case anyone is wondering... the location he put the thermal pads on the bottom of the board is not correct. You want to put the thermal pads on the two small square humps on the bottom metal shield - once put in that location and the board is put back over the bottom shield the thermal pads will make contact with the chips they are supposed to contact. Just an FYI the two lumps sticking up on the shield in the bottom of the Dreamcast, that's the best place to stick the thermal pads otherwise you run the risk of them falling off when you place the mainboard back in. Have a great day nice video dude.
