Nuclear Engineer කෙනෙක් වෙන්න ඕනේ අවම සුදුසුකම තමයි ඒ සම්බන්ධව masters degree එකක්. Salary එක depend වෙනවා job description එකයි (nuclear engineer කිව්වට එක එක ජාතියේ අය ඉන්නවා. Power Plant operators, power plant designers, decommissioning and waste management, fuel cycle, safety etc etc), expereience එකයි අනුව. එහෙම විශේෂ advantage එකක් නෑ. අනික් job වගේම තමයි. 😊

01. About how the reaction is started in a nuclear reactor and the complex process that takes place inside it.
02. For what reasons is it extremely difficult to stop a nuclear meltdown?

02. When a core meltdown occurs that means there's no water to take the heat away. (Aka it's evaporated due to extreme heat). However in the gen IV reactors and other modern designs a core meltdown is impossible.
And I also highly recommend this book called " The technology of Pressurized Water Reactors" by Serge Marguet as he explains the history and the function of a PWR reactor extensively. It will answer both your questions in detail.

Thank you for your comment! ❤️ අපේ කාලේ NMS degree එකට physical වලින් යන්න කරන්න ඕනේ P1 combination (applied maths + physics+ chemistry+CS) එක. දැන් combinations 12ක්ද කොහෙද තියෙනවා first year CS වෙනුවට NS කරන්න පුළුවන් නිසා. (We didn't had this) ඒක නිසා මුලින්ම University hand book එක මුල ඉඳන් අගට කියවලා බලන්න degree එකට eligible වෙන්න කරන්න ඕනේ combination එක මොකද්ද කියලා. ඊට පස්සේ eligible වෙන්න කරන්න ඕනේ subjects වලට වැඩි weight එකක් දීලා වැඩ කරන් යන්න. It doesn't mean you can forget the other subjects okay? To go far in the field you need to have a good GPA. First year එකේ ඉඳන් review articles publish කරන්න try කරන්න.
Scintilla Nuclear Science Society එකට join වෙන්න. ඒක තමයි NS department එකේ society එක. අපි එකෙන් mentoring program එකකුත් කරනවා. කලින් අවුරුදු වල graduatesලා ඔක්කොම එකතු වෙලා මේ ෆීල්ඩ් එකේ ඉස්සරහට යන්න ඔයාලව personally guide කරනවා. So get the best out of the opportunities that are presented to you.

Most countries don't have a class system. What they check is your gpa, publications (if there are any) and your motivation and the recognition of your university.

මම chemistry ගැනනම් කියන්න දන්නේ නෑ. හැබැයි මම කරපු විදිහ ගැන කියන්න පුළුවන්. මම physical ගිහින් nuclear medicine specialize කරලා nuclear engineering masters එකක් කරේ. Technically එහෙම scholarships හම්බනොවෙන්න හේතුවක් මට පේන්නේ නෑ.
