@@inthekitchenwithmatt Thank You !!! It was great and really good, I'm surprised that I did it !! Usually my food doesn't come out right, but this time it did !!
I love chocolate chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream! Fruit crepes and regular American pancakes are dessert more than breakfast by right anyways, so I make mine in the evenings. I've always just added cocoa to Bisquick but now that I'm in my 20s I have to learn how to cook, so I made these! Yay!
My baking self found heaven. These were so good!! 🤤 I still have a lot of batter left over I made 7 pancakes and still have more batter for like 10 more. Anyway’s I didn’t have and baking soda on me so I substituted with baking powder and it was kinda the same thing. For extra chocolate I added Simi sweet chocolate chips.Every bite was heaven for me.and topped that off with powder sugar and more chocolate chips! Overall BEST chocolate pancakes recipe. 🤤💕
You totally can instead of making them from scratch. And then just add a bit more milk to the pancake mix to thin it out if it gets too thick. :) Also you may need to add a tablespoon extra sugar to help counter balance the cocoa powder.
Can I use whole wheat flour for a healthier pancake? And can I lower the cocoa powder level like about to 1/4 cup because I don't want to use that much cocoa powder. Also, can I make the dry mix and store it in a container so when I need it I can add the wet and it's ready to go? These look good and I want to make this.
Hi Ana, it is quick and easy to make, the batter comes together in less than 10 minutes. Why do you need to make it ahead of time? But yes, you can store it in the fridge in a bowl with plastic wrap or a lid, and use it the next morning. It will be thicker because of the cold, so thin it out a bit with a little more milk the next day.
Glad you tried it and liked it. Chocolate protein powder will make it taste differently. If you try it I would still add cocoa powder. And you will need to add a bit more milk to get the right consistency. Start with like a scoop of protein powder, and 1/4 cup of cocoa powder, and see where that gets you. Feel free to adjust though.

Hi there, you should be able to leave out the cocoa powder and add 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract. If the batter is a little too runny, add a few tablespoons extra of flour.
@@danhoang9066 Hello Dan, while you can, they may not turn out as fluffy if the batter is left overnight. But you certainly can store it covered, in the fridge overnight. :)
You can try melting 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of chocolate, and then only use 2 Tablespoons of sugar, since there is sugar in the chocolate most likely that you are using. But you will have to experiment, it may not taste perfect the first time, and you may need to adjust the amount of chocolate the next time.
