They spared no expense and it really shows in the sets, costumes, effects. Every scene is like a painting. Well done

Dangeroulsy close to Ryan Johnson's "subverting of expectations" with The Last Jedi, but it dosn't sound quite as radical. The first two episodes are pretty good, so let's hope they keep giving us what we want without too much nonsensical subversion.
@@jimhalpert9421 Subversion of expectations is a good thing, but only if the subversion is better than what one would expect. For example, we expected Jon to face off and defeat the Night King in GoT, but our expectations were subverted and it was Arya who took him down. That’s subversion done wrong because it was infinitely worse than what we expected.
Kind of cool to see a few familiar faces who worked on the original Game of Thrones now working on HOT D. I love how grand and swanky everything is in the show. From the sets, to the costume design and hair, it's incredible. The cinematography throughout these last 2 episodes is freaking gorgeous too.
GRRM is the brain of this lore, but he talked like he just one of the staff got interviewed.
I was very hesitant of this show initially, but I'm happy to say every actor and actress nailed it. Great writing, stunning production, cool locations and fantastic costuems. My only complaint is a few pacing issues, but that's trivial compared to the absolutely solid show we got. Looks like the gang had a lot of fun backstage.

I love how modest these actors were before the show was released. They all did so freakin awesome on the show, even fabien LOL. Just shows how you can truly hate a character or love a character because of the actor/actress!! Amazing job HBO and all of the actors/actresses on the show

This is the Best Show of the year imo! HOTD IS GREAT, the amount of details and hard work that goes into it is showing. I think the cast is perfect and i was instantly hooked after episode 1, can't wait for episode 3. Bravo!
"The king eats, they say, and the Hand takes the shit." is the correct saying from the book. No Spoilers but anyone thinking this is going to be a happy ending should remember it is from the same author who wrote Game of Thrones. If they follow the book expect at least 50% of the characters you have already met in the first two episodes to die. And some of the dragons. The book they are adapting is a history of a civil war within a powerful family that has dragons. No one is safe.
I also noticed that, but maybe he "un"ntentionally "mis"quote that. While the king eat the hand was taking THE shit... and doing all the devil's work ON the king haha anyway he probably just meant what you said I'm just overthinking.

Yep ..after the episode where yenifier dies i see no story after that so got bored to watched it but house of dragon giving so much of suspense, action, story, misery, destiny and etc... Game of thrones made it hype for House of dragon

I had absolutely no faith in this series after the last 2 seasons of GOT, but with the first 3 episodes that are out so far, they proved me wrong. Now i have high hopes for this show.

I love the (kind of) foreshadowing when they had Matt to voice the trailer for HOTD and now almost every episode is dedicated to Daemon and his character development....it's like they wanted to say: THIS voice is important. Keep it in your mind because THIS person will be important.

I love HOTD! This “universe” of game of thrones is new to me. I began watching simultaneously. A lot to take in together. With HOTD I find more interesting without an over abundance creatures, etc. the dragons were so realistic I’m hooked. Thank you for this video. So excited for finale!

I've been keeping clear of the show until more surfaces but hearing how good the first two episodes have me clicking. I didn't know Miguel Sapochnik was the showrunner! I am getting more and more exited for this new show and now that a second season has already been confirmed, I have a binge awaiting me of hopefully an amazing show!
Miguel Sapochnik has given a few very cringe interviews that got me really worried. Luckily this didn't manifest in the the actual show yet. Let's hope it stays that way.

They just announced Miquel Sapochnik is leaving the show , not sure how or if that will affect the quality or not. I believe the first season is already complete so time will tell.
They’re not the same show , there is source material and not made up by D&D , I can’t even understand why the two are being combined. It’s different, whole different story . It’s so odd , not trying to be rude because you’re one of many people. But how ? D& D made up the story ,they had no more source material. Miguel Spochnik stayed true to the book, understood what the fans wanted and made us hooked on to the show from the first episode itself

Rumors are they didn't agree on the number of seasons with Ryan Condal. But who knows, he might come back for future episodes. I think he's kinda burned out too after the last season.

in the books chronology is a little different, when king Viserys chooses Allicent over her, she is already a dragonrider, and she could not care less about being sidelined. she had more interest in flying on dragons than being a queen to loser like VIserys.

Now that weve seen those 2 Episodes of The Rings of Power, its no comparison on how far better House of the Dragon is, in dialog, scenes, characters, costumes. And i was rooting for the first one to dominate. But oh my i was dissapointed.
Same here. House of the dragon feels like old game of thrones and is incredibly well made and acted. The rings of power felt like fan fiction made by a feminist.

Ryan Condal has a rather sophisticated way of expressing his thoughts. Explains all the sharp quality of dialogue in HOTD. Compare this to D & D, how they spoke in the interviews, it was painfully obvious that they just weren't up to the task.

Vhagar without CGI somewhat resembles a speeder from Star Wars.
They did a fantastic job on the set.
Stories are CHARACTER driven.
Not enoughin these characters to care about. The actors weren't given a good script. They were given a fantastic set.
But the characters were awesome and the script was good.

That could work as a different section of the story till to be told.
I had read that they wanted to do five seasons. Of course, everything is subject to change. GoT originally was supposed to go two more seasons, but was rushed.
If we are going to speak about quality filmmaking, Game of Thrones should be one of the greatest.

I think they have a bigger budget and also the stuff just got more advanced over the years aswell from the times of game of thrones was made.
