i followed this to a t and no matter what game i add, every time i launch it i get a window asking what program i'd like to open the application with. detached commands are setup and saved like you showed in the video so i'm not sure what is causing this.
Need help troubleshooting… Upgraded to windows 11 and now my steam deck isn’t seeing my pc. Added nvidia GeForce to firewall, tried to disable firewall. Uninstall/reinstall both sunshine and moonshine on pc and deck. Tried to manually enter ip address. Verified they’re both on the same network. Tried wired with WiFi connection and just WiFi connection. Steamlink immediately sees my pc/deck and works fine but moonlight doesn’t see my pc. Only an issue since upgrading to win 11. Any ideas?
question, do I get it right that when you use Moonlight / Sunshine you cannot use your steam input configs per different games? It'll be only 1 config for the sunshine non-steam shortcut, right?
I'm just using my native 2k resolution on the monitor. You can tinker with the settings on the steram deck to see what looks best. It doesnt work perfectly because of the aspect ratio of the steam deck.
Hoping someone can help me out. All of this worked for me, but when I play Tunic via Game Pass, the game is not fully recognizing that I'm playing on controller (aka, Steamdeck). Some buttons work, some still show the keyboard input. How can I get it to fully allow me to use Steamdeck controls?
I assume any time you launch something this way, it takes a second to do all the key bindings because most games won't automatically recognize the Steam deck, correct? I'm planning on getting a Deck solely for game streaming but just want to know if that's something to anticipate!
After you set your key bindings they should automatically apply next time so it won’t require you to do it over and over. You can just pick up and play.
Your tutorial helps me a lot but my main problem is when my monitor is turned off i only have black screen on my deck until i turn on my monitor again. In short I cant stream my desktop or games of my monitor is off
I managed to put several emulators on this system, but with the Dolphin emulator it gives the following error: something went wrong on your PC when starting the transmission. Make sure you do not have any DRM protected content OPEN ON YOUR PC. Do you know how to solve it?
I think there’s a way where you have to leave your PC settings to allow remote access from when you’re away from home. I haven’t done it personally so I can’t speak to how well it works.
@@Rebe-Caufman LOLOOL! Hall-Effect sticks/bumpers and a microSD card reader that doesn't burn out. So funny. If you're streaming, your PC is doing all of the work, so just pick the device with the features you like the most.

Maybe I missed it in the video, but how do you get the resolution on your PC to fit to your steam decks resolution? I play on a 32:9 (Samsung G9 OLED) and whenever I play on my deck its just too small to see and I have black bars on the top/bottom because of the wider screen. Any input?
You have to go to the deck settings and try different output settings for the monitor. I had to go through a few until I found one that works decently.

I can't add the detached command, I am given no "+" to do so.... You know what could that be?

No I haven’t run into that issue. It’s been working fine on my end.
I think u have to select a different sound device on your host computer, right click on speaker icon... yada yada

I think you should still have your different configuration but honesty I’m not sure. I only use the basic configs.

check your mirroring settings for the monitor and steam deck. If it's mirrored then that might be the issue.

Have you tried removing the emulator completely and then reinstalling it. When using dolphin do you have any other games open in the background?
