I think I’m over Cambly. I tried 3 times, they rejected me (for literally no good reason 🙄). I’ll just keep getting my own students. It’s just a nice thought to log in and work when you want…. Thanks for the video!! ❤️

But the only thing I've heard is that I'm shortlisted and moving onto the next onboarding process. Though that's great news, its now December 15th, and I still haven't heard back.
I applied in August.... It's now October... I was hired within 2 days on Another Esl platform but Cambly is taking forever. I did a good intro and I figured there must be alot of applications on Cambly... Cambly is my first choice due to the flexibility. I'm happy you did this video and am considering when to reapply?

I don't think Cambly's getting competitive, I think its always been a case of accepting teachers with some experience, regardless of what's advertised
Thanks Lena, this is very informative. One query... Does Cambly let you know if your application is NOT accepted? Mine has been under review since before Christmas, and I've edited and tweaked it since then, but I am really not sure if I have not heard from them due to a shortcoming on my part, or if things are just slow in Camblyland... Do they send out rejection emails, or just leave you hanging?

This is so far the most helpful video concerning Cambly. Cambly is really good because they do not have too many strict requirements. I cross my fingers for my application to be accepted. And thank you Teacher Lena☺

@@IamPsybo Banned? From where? I know foreign teachers are banned from teaching in China but I don't know of anyone being banned on Cambly. They don't teach to students in China.

Hi Lena, applied for Cambly around early August no word yet. Should I reapply?
I would give it a couple more weeks but email them in the meantime.
I applied on Sept. 22. I'm worried I didn't accepted. 😔 I work as a transcriptionist from home, pay is pretty low (1k/month) but being a SAHM the flexibility is a Godsend & blessing. I thought Cambly would also be a good fit and was very excited. So I'm a little disappointed. Was really wanting to just diversify with different ways to bring in income, while also making sure those avenues were flexible. Anyone out there have any other suggestions? Doesn't necessarily have to be online ESL, I'm open to learning new skills.

Hi, id like to ask you how long you've been teaching at this current stage as my online support lady advises me not to join any known online recruiting agencies, even if they say SAs allowed, especially if one has no experience. Is this true, am I wasting my time and should rather start off with smaller companies? Or should I just plunge in, at my mature age which is above 40 years old?
Who should the video be intented to the parents, the learners, or the cambly hiring team?

I would still wait a bit. A week isn't that long compared to some others.

I was rejected after emailing them about my application (funny thing is, on the website, mine is still under review so idk whats up with that). So I changed my intro video. Before, I was uptight but now, I changed it from that to upbeat. I did not change my email though but I heard applying with a different email might do ( idk what that means..changing email in my account or make another account?) wish me best...UPDATE = i emailed them again to re-assess my application

Nope. You need to enter your DOB so that Cambly can check if you are underage or not.

That is good thay you received a response of this sort. I am not aware of anyone who was rejected or accepted after receiveing this email.
I too got this response Email it has been over 6 weeks though. How long does it usually take before accepting me

Not from my experience.
I applied towards the end of Feb and I still haven't received any response from them :(

They must have a lot of teachers now and are holding your application for later. That is my guess.
Hi teacher Lena, I am a non-native but I hear a couple of cases when teachers got accepted.I applied twice the last two months and the application status still says”under review”.I submitted a ticket and I guess it was an automatic one since I got an email right after a second and I was rejected through that.What’s your take on this?

Same with me, I applied, then submitted a ticket for an update and right on the spot I got rejected
Does Cambly hire from within? If you start out as a teacher for Adult Cambly students, do you have to reapply later on, in order to teach children?
That is a great question that I wish I had the answer for. You can send an email to them and ask and they will tell you what you need to do. Sorry I can’t help with that.
I tutor on Cambly. I don’t want to teach kids but every so often I receive a message inviting me to apply for Cambly Kids. However, I’ve heard that tutors have applied through this message but have not necessarily been accepted.
I never heard from them I take that as a NO

Do you have to apply to both Cambly and Cambly Kids? I would rather just teach adults.
You don’t have to apply to the kids part to teach adults. You do have to apply to adult side inorder to teach kids.

hi, sounds like you should move on, try smaller companies was the suggestion I received from my support lady. I cant tell you which ones they are but if you find any then google them to check that they're legit
