Best of luck in your pulls! He definitely helped me through the early game, and he's amazing in the first part of tower fights for clearing out the smaller mobs before the big boss.

It's like Himeko, when AoE content endgame comes he is unstoppable. He is already strong with a 4 star support vs single target 30s clears

Could be said the same for the 2nd banner in 1.4, no funds for 2.0 new character, even worse if they rerun Jinhsi along side
I have Jiyan already and he's been carrying my account by himself since the game's launch. Gonna get his sig weapon and wait for 2.0. I'm hoping he gets a limited 5 star support.
are you clearing the tower of adversity stage 4 (aero side) without a 5 star weapon? Curious because as I responded in this comment section I'm struggling. Curious what your attack/crit/crit dmg numbers are so I know how far off I am if you are in fact clearing it....just so I have an idea what to shoot for in the next two weeks while those few asterite are still available.

I have every character and so far my jiyan team (mortefi and verina) is by far my favorite. Changli, encore, and shorekeeper is my second but jiyan has an easy rotation and tons of damage.
y'all fools, we pull Jiyan for the swag. the charisma. the handsomeness. ... i'm just joking, ofc, i'm very biased towards Jiyan because he's one of my favourite characters of ANY games i've played. it's undeniable that he's a great meta unit, though, so, regardless, all the best luck for everyone pulling!

To be honest, even though we have many DPS options, for aero, i don't think we have any good aero DPS except for Jiyan at the moment. And i don't see any other aero DPS will come out soon. and his team is pretty f2p. he only needs Mortefi and a healer to survive most of the endgame content

I got hard pity going for dupes on SK and got guarantee....not sure if its worth using it for jiyan, or better to save for jiyan, especially considering i have other dps and teams properly built, like changli, xly and encore. What do you guys think?

Yeah, unlike JInhsi, Jiyan actually has pretty great synergy with the BP weapon.
(according to Prydewen, an r5 Atumntrace is only 4.4% bellow the standard 5* broadblade.
Of course, getting his signatuire weapon would be a 22.7% dps gain over the r5 BP, but... The same can be said for most signature weapons, if not more.)
Keep in mind that the BP rectfier and gauntlets are also solid options, though. (The gauntlets are mostly a Xiangli Yao weapon, and the rectfier is a pretty good generic weapon.)

Serious question for anyone who's viewing this...because I've been playing since day 1 and maybe it's because I have a battle pass weapon for XY and a signature, or at least the standard 5 star weapons for most of my main dps, but is it possible to get stuff done on Jiyan without a 5 star weapon? I mean, along comes the aero weak tower, and in stage four I'm getting 1 star which at this point is bad, I can pull that off with probably a team of 4 stars. Not only that, but he's backed up by a 5 star Mortefi with the 5 star gun. So, if you CAN...lemme know please what kinda of stats I need to upgrade my echoes to. Right now, they're not so good, 70/211 is rough i know...and I'm not sure about his attack, but if you know how much attack you can clear the 4th stage of the aero side along with crit rate/dmg, please help me out. I didn't expect people to be saying that he's this good and I just feel differently, and I'm guessing it's simply because I've not invested enough into his echoes/weapon. Also, he's at R0 in case anyone was wondering if I had any dupes. Ty in advance.
On the topic of power creep, I felt like Yinlin powercrept him in a way to be honest...provided I could mark everyone on the field, now I'm doing damage to all of them passively which was good enough to kill them whether or not they ran around afterward. Moreso, from the looks of things Camellya's providing CRAZY coverage using AOE. When you consider that Bosses don't get swept up in Jiyan's wind, I just feel he's like a good warm body unit to save me from using the vigor points on my main characters (which has value no doubt) when doing stages 2 and 3 on each side. However, soon as I get to a boss with any levels (4th stage of tower or beyond) I feel the dropoff is massive, even excluding the damage woes I listed above. Part of that is that the screen is WAY tougher to see with the dragon running around, so any unit liket he plants that don't get swept up ends up zapping the hell out of me a lot of the time because I can hardly see them comin (skill issue I guess, but my eyes are the only 2 I've got)...so between bigger units not getting swept up and getting wittled down due to getting hit by stuff I don't see coming, I just feel he's a bit overrated here. Granted more damage can solve some of this issue. But, in conclusion I think Camellya's AOE will also make the screen far more readable by comparison, but maybe I'm wrong. From what I've seen it appears that way to me. I'd consider rolling for his broadblade, but I honestly thought Geshu Lin would've at least been drip marketed by now allowing me to get his instead. So for now I'm saving what I have for Camellya, and the leftovers for a Stringmaster because imo that's arguably the strongest and the most versatile weapon in the game.

I want to get Jiyan's weapon during his rerun but idk. Because there have been speculation that Jinhsi will get a rerun after 2.0 and I want her weapon as well.

Planned to pull for Jiyan, but unfortunately I hit hard pity for SK, so I have to skip him (again). Perhaps his third banner run will be the charm.
Definitely worth it, I'd say that he's the best traction DPS. Maybe Yao rivals him cause I noticed that Yao's core passive kinda pulls enemies but nothing as smooth like Jiyan.
I think it's best to assign a main DPS per element to leverage buffs in the tower.
I want a main DPS of every element to be prepared for all possibilities, and jiyan is the only aero main dps right now.

I have both characters.
tl;dr Jinshi's weapon but I'm basing that off of only having her weapon and knowing it's a relatively good stat stick regardless.
I'm partial to jinhsi's weapon, but to be fair I don't have Jiyan's. I've also yet to test the account using her weapon on Jiyan but I'm guessing it'll go far better with Jinhsi's weapon and a hardly leveled Mortefi compared to the other account (my first) that has Jiyan with a 4 star broradblade and a maxed out Mortefi with 5 star gun...maybe it's my echoes but my 70/211 Jiyan is not getting it done in 4th stage on aero weak side. Jinhsi nukes are really[ nice and the buff from her signature weapon is significant. From my perspective, handing Jiyan her weapon has been good enough to very easily handle at least tower levels 2 and 3...I still have to test the better built JIyan I have using her weapon as a stat stick on stage 4 of the tower though.
@@TheTripleJski my jinshi is doing above 240k with standard 5 star weapon (64/230) but I really need some limited 5 star weapon to 36 star the tower of adversity.
I cleared the right side with (Changli, Encore and Verina)
The middle I'm trying using (Jinshi, Yinlin and Shorekeeper)
But the last side I just can't because my Jiyan isn't totally build and Xiangli Yao doesn't do enough for some reason (68/220) (talents 6-8-8-9-6)
@@endsonlisboa7195 Jiyan's weapon is specifically tailored to suit Jiyan.
I have him at 75% Crit Rate with his sig weapon with minimal echo farming. He crits consistently.
Jinhsi works well enough with the standard 5* broadblade. Jiyan...not so much (his Ult scales off Heavy Attack while the standard 5* broadblade boosts Resonance Liberation).
I think ultimately, just pull for the weapon of which character that has the highest use time for you. Since you'll be spending time playing with that character, might as well use them at their peak performance.

Jinshi Weapon is well bested for Skill Spamming Broadsword user.
Jiyan weapon is well best for Heavy ATK dependant because Jiyan himself Mix Basic and Heavy atk after Ult (or just Heavy i forgot).
In terms of CR/CD you can easily min max it with Echos, the only thing that stop you is having enough dmg boost for specific dmg source (skill, Ult, heavy atk, basic atk.)
@@Hejin123 His ultimate scales off Heavy Attack. All my echoes but one has double crits and heavy attack which has double crits and basic attack.
Skipped the first time, skipping the second time. These early main dps/carries are all gonna get powercrept so hard later on, no reason to spend pulls on them. Rather just pull supports/subdps for now.

@@adriancamposano8891 I pulled Yinlin, Changli, Zhezhi, Shorekeeper. Picked Verina and Calcharo from the selector banner/selector. Obviously got XY from his event. Been very comfortably doing towers with that but will probably wait until 2.0 to start pulling true main dps/carries.

Kind of glad i got him on his first banner and stopped playing . I a wondering if i should get his weapon though . since i dont really have any good dps beside him and encore and i didnt get xiangli yao either . i was planning on pullinh his weap and trying my luck on cammeliya .
He is worth it and his damage output is among the highest in the game as a main DPS. You should definitely try to get his sig weapon. For all "main DPS" type characters like Jiyan, Jinhsi, and Xiangli, you need to pull for their sig weapon eventually to utilize their power.
For every "main DPS" character (you will see the "main DPS" tag on the character in-game), you need to aim for their sig weapon. If you can't get it right away, get it on their rerun.
For sub-DPS and support character, leaving them with substitute weapons is typically fine. But the main DPS' job is to hit as hard as possible. You need the sig weapon for that. The sig weapon is always significantly stronger (for main DPS) than alternate weapons.
This is only his 1st rerun though, not his last. It's fine to postpone getting it for next rerun if you can't afford it now. Just keep in mind that main DPSes need their sig to really give proper high damage output and fluid play.

Sig weapon for "main DPS" will always be significantly better than anything else. Just remember that this is his 1st rerun, not his last. lol So if you're running really low on astrites, you can wait for his 2nd rerun to get his sig weapon. But you should definitely aim to get the sig weapon for all the "main DPS' -type characters on your account.
4 star and standard weapons are only temporary placeholders for "Main DPS" limited 5 star characters.
For every other type of character like sub-DPS and support, you can typically get by pretty well leaving them without their sig weapons.
Jiyan is categorized as "main DPS" In-game. His damage ceiling is high like the other limited 5 star characters in his category. So you should try to get his sig weapon eventually, even if that time isn't now. Reruns will happen again, so don't worry about it. 😊

If you have the astrites, yes. His sig weapon boosts his damage significantly.
I had both the standard broadblade and Jiyan's sig weapon. I pulled for Jinhsi and gave the standard broadblade to her.

Another point to consider: this is his rerun, so he probably won't come out again for a while. On the other hand, the new characters like Camel will probably only have to wait a little bit for their rerun. That's what I'm doing with Shorekeeper. I'm going to get her next rerun because I can't miss the rerun banners

@@whatabother2001 let me explain it’s taken 6 months for for YinLin to return now every charter has a duration of 25 days we call that a months and it’s 2 charters before the next patch shorkeeper is the current one and then it’s jiyan we’re in October so camellya comes in November and YinLin will return later no November to early December once that’s been concluded we will have another patch and 2 charters have been confirmed that’s another 2 months since a return is between a charter so if you was to skip shorkoerr as you have stated you won’t see her return In a long time same as camellya she won’t come back in what 3 months it will be a long time plus more charters will show up you not alone I’m skipping jiyan again on my main account for camellya but sits your choice just letting you know if a rerun was to happen then June would be the case but that’s an estimation not proven to happen
@@astrogamerg2263 ah, that's still not too far away considering we're pretty early in the game. it'd be around 8 months, if we're progressing according to the previous banners' order. yeah, that's not too long to me personally. enough time to save up for her sig and hopefully dupes too
If you don't have jiyan get jiyan. If you have jiyan you can save for camellya. Those that missed yinlin got get yinlin. Collect them all, having a roster of different resonator makes a more diverse line up to be able to clear TOA.
I find jiyan is so good that it became boring. Shelving the character for TOA. Rarely use him now due to how fast he destroy everything. As said, if you don't have him. Get him.

@@akshatdixit7019 build him with proper crit, he will be able to clear toa with mortefi. He is very easy to use. Since his ult is parry god so he can continuously attack the boss. His aoe carry small echos around with him making it easy to clear the crowd. He also nuke so yeah all rounder damage over time. As of now he is the only aero 5 star dps.
He got some issues which is during his ult, its hard to see certain attacks due to his ult being flashy. I'm not sure they have fix the camera angle issue. It use to stuck at one angle as you attack and not able to see the field to move about. Movement to adjust your attack during ult = dps lost. Even knock back is a dps lost since most of his damage is during his ult form.
Overall he is really easy to use for mobile and high damage dealer, he clear content fast as a hypercarry team. Don't skip him if you don't have him. I use jingshi weapon on him and he still able to clear toa with ease. Having his signature weapon will increase his damage tremendously during his ult.

My problem is if I try to pull him I will also try to go for his weap and I just can't afford it if I want Camellya.. And since she's super Aoe centred I guess she will be Jiyan but Havoc lol
On the other side, Camellya looks very hard to play and super quick swap oriented while Jiyan is very casual friendly.. Sad for Jiyan but not this time !

I'm pulling him because I'm very new to the game, one month, lvl45 and new players should always consider old units first because of the rerunning issues.

1. Jingshi (nuke queen)
2. Jiyan (parry king)
3. Changli (swap milker)
Sub dps/support
1. Shorekeeper (verina level)
2. Yinlin (damage on par with dps)
3. Zhezhi (meh)
Jiyan is very VERY easy to use and has a simple rotation and an f2p team (Mortefi, his best support, is on his banner), he's also mobile friendly, I think those reasons make him a great option for newer players

I don't have Jiyan, nor do I want Cammelya. I already have too many Main dpses built and strong, I need Yinlin now, because clearing 30/30 ToA with Zhezhi as the only built sub dps is getting to coinflip territory. No longer Xiangli Yao will clip through the fights with 5-10 seconds on the clock. That will be easy sub 1:20 blitz.
I love the more technical characters, so I am pulling for Youhu.
I just really really hope I do not get a Jiyan...if anything, I hope to lose the 50/50 if I ever have to go to pity.

Out of all current limited main dd's jiyan is the weakest. His dmg is lower, cc lost significant value in ToA and totally useless on holo. And since he is the only one who needs 5* heavy atk semi support he is not much flexible coz you don't need that char in any other team.
