Aww, your were only 45 minutes from where I live! I live in a little town called Holtville. Even though this is a harsh (hot) desert environment, there are so many great places to camp at and explore, especially in the fall, winter, and spring! I love going to Borrego Springs during the spring for the flower bloom and hiking. I'm so glad you visited and photographed/videoed this, your talent behind the lens is incredible!
OMG!! Your photo (near the end) of the catus was BEAUTIFUL!!! They way you captured the "glow" around it from the sun. You really have an EYE for catching photos. Safe Travels.
Sunrise, the most beautiful time of the day...a new day with new possibilities. I think the sky is at its best first thing in the morning. It's invigorating. Wonderful video and pictures. I need to catch sunrise more often. I used to all the time, but, the past several years have been challenging to say the least. I have to get back to watching the sun rise again...thank you for giving me the incentive. 👍😊

We also love that American Girl Area. We call it the rock beach and every time we go we always have the whole “Beach” to ourselves. It’s a great location. That expensive gas station at the highway exit has water and dump available. They are really nice there.
I’m loving your sunrise challenge. I’ve recently taken up my painting again and the orange and purple sunsets is what I’m into right now. Great video all around ❤

Wasn't it kinda cool to be able to drink a beer out in the open? They do this in Europe and South America, too. So different than in the States where open containers are illegal. I went to Mexico for dental I hated the in your face buy this buy that.. I am so glad you had a nice experience with friends. Happy trails!

I’m watching your video while camping at American Girl Mine, one of my favorite places in Yuma area, if you drive Oglby road to 78 you will run in to Cibola NWR and it’s awesome, large bird sanctuary and free camping along the Colorado River, there is also a great car birding trail. Hi guys. So on your first walk I loved the background music. I finally placed what I think was the instrument which is a straight flute with holes. I remember playing those in grade school {man that was a long time ago}. I couldn't remember the correct name of the instrument but towards the end of the video the old hard drive which now has many cobwebs in it fired up a Recorder. Of course we didn't sound like that in second grade. Coo idea to look at sunrises!!
My husband was a world wide Navy guy for twenty years, so he has been to many places that I haven't. But when we were stationed in Japan, I went to Korea on a little Navy wives trip and he hasn't been there. So I chuckled when you got to mark Mexico off of your travel list without Dave. I haven't being in los Algodones MX but for sure we will keep it in mind. Some Rvers have gone in there to have their teeth's clean at a reasonable price & it is done by a Doctor & to buy meds that are usually prescribed. Gosh they sell beautiful artesania & delish food !!! Pretty pics of the rising Sun for next Calendar girl... I got Roodle sticky already in my RV fender. He is adorable !!!

If you saw a black little car near your vehicle on Friday, that was my wife and I. we were so excited to have our first celebrity sighting. we were stuck in the mcdonalds drive thru when you guys drove past us and then we shot a cruise around your van real quick like groupies.
I have an Algodones tip that I learned from my Yuma friends. When you have done everything you want to do there, check on the line. If it’s too long there is a bar/restaurant just across the street. Go in, order margaritas and appetizers and send someone out from time to time to check the line. When the line is down to about 20 people finish your drinks and go join it. Done it twice now and got out before dark both times. 🪅
