I also have "can't-finish-a-game-itus". The worst offender so far is Ōkami. Literally the game I always call my favorite of all time. Last I played it was over a year ago. Originally, I couldn't beat it because the Wii version was such a pain to get through. Screw Tobi. But then I finally got past Ninetails in the Switch version. _Screw Tobi._ I took a break because I made progress (and was raging trying to get the gear for the lightning brush technique), and just. @Roxxxxxxxbottttter My biggest regret is EverOasis. I adored that game, and got to the point that the final dungeon was ready. But the game made it seem like it was a one-way trip, so I wanted to do the side quests first. The side quests are wayyyyy harder than main quests, so it was taking a while. Then my 3DS broke. (T~T) So, now, I literally can't finish it, without spending a huge amount of money. Or, maybe trying to emulate it. But I don't even know if anyone _would_ have emulated that game. It wasn't that big. And also, emulation is kinda scary for many reasons, so. Crap.
Bug Fables is the main one for me 'cause I enjoyed playing it, got to the final boss, got pwned, and then haven't gone and seriously picked it up since. I know there's extra content after the boss so it's quite annoying. Other instances for me include: Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Circle of the Moon, TLOZ (Tears of the Kingdom and Majora's Mask 3D), Sonic Adventure 2, Kirby Robobot, and Half Life.
My example is a bit unorthodox. I consider myself a massive massive fan of Umineko, been one since maybe 2009 or 2010. Never finished it to this day. Keeps the mystery alive, I guess!
The mysims talk sent me back. Those videos made me so happy back in the day, my mom actually really liked those videos too. (also mysims kingdom finally getting the credit it rightfully deserves makes me very happy.)
21:19 I vividly remember being a PBG fan in high school and watching your Top 10 Zelda games video, and closing out as soon as I saw my precious TP in the #10 spot because I decided I didn’t need your opinion 😂😂😂
I was wrong about Skyward Sword. Hated it back on the Wii, but flashforward to Skyward Sword HD and yeah... the light finally shone through. I went from hating Skyward Sword, to respecting it 💙
Actually your Fortune Street playthrough was what convinced me to try it out and now I legiti think I have spent over 300 hours playing it, I love it that much. Most of that time is against computers though as I also have only one friend who likes it lol. Since then I've even imported the DS game from Japan. Fortune Street is amazing and thank you so much for introducing it to me Peebs!
I bought Animal Parade because of your video and still haven't played it... I've seen someone stream it aswell and it does look really fun. I think you just now encouraged me to make it a goal to try and play it by the end of the year.
I hope you have fun when you do ^^ I’ve played it a few times and found it really fun. There’s a fun selection of bachelors and bachelorettes. Most of which return from Tree of Tranquility (Witch, Wizard, and the Harvest King being elusive to AP) and they have some fun clothing options and festivals. I also like the bell system a bit over the rainbow system from Tree of Tranquility. Though I miss the charged watering can option from ToT.
I’m in the same boat! To in my case I didn’t play for too since it felt weird not playing a HM game on a handheld and my Wii kept making loud noises lol
Twilight Princess was the first Zelda game I played in its entirety, and I remember being so mad when I first watched your top ten Zelda video, but reminded myself that everyone has different tastes in games. You wouldn't believe how happy I felt when you changed your mind on it I'd say, don't delete the video. If you really want to mark it as out of date, maybe change the title, put in a pinned comment, and/or put a note in the description I'm gonna go rewatch all the g-files videos for the nostalgia now
WHY WONT ANYONE PLAY FORTUNE STREET? It's not just you peebs, bought it years ago after seeing you and Jeff play. Still have yet to play with another human
Everyone I show FS too gets hooked on it. One time, while playing, my friends were teaming up on me and teasing me about it, and it pissed me off. I said I was going to the bathroom but instead I went to the basement and shut off power to.the house
I haven't watched you in like 10 years and I didn't even realize I wasn't on the PBG channel. Feels like seeing an old friend again. Glad to see you talking about those old games again. Also I was a Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival defender too, I still like it but WOW it was not good.
I was definitely wrong about halo reach. When it came out i didnt like how they brough back health packs and i hated the new style of the enemies but now playing it i see its a masterpiece
Me as well! I would say it’s honestly my number 1 game just for how nostalgic and different it was compared to other Zelda games! Midna was just the best companion imo to have in any Zelda game and the ending ofc 🥹
20:17 i do this all the time, ive played COUNTLESS games that i fell in love with and just never beat, it makes me feel guilty in a way i love the game so much and i cant bring myself to actually see it through to the end, but as long as you enjoy a game i think its fulfilled its purpose at least to me
Oh, sweet justice for the MySims series 🤣 In all seriousness, it's good to hear that you do have some positive thoughts about the sequels. I'll be real, while I plan on getting the Cozy Bundle I'm not 100% sure about starting with the og MySims. It looks clunky, and the camera angle could def be better. But I am excited to try Kingdom! I had fun with it's ds version.
Man, this popped into my feed man. All the memories of watching your content as a wee lad came flooding back. I'm glad to see you're still making content after all these years :)
I love that alot of these games you came around on! I think being able to enjoy a game despite its flaws or first impressions is great, I wish people were more chill about opinions changing on stuff like this, but its nice to find the fun you were missing out on originally!
That growth cycle clip from your top 5 video has lived in my head rent free for several years.. its actually one of the first things I think about when I think about you.
0:46 Desperation for anything to fill the void of silence in our increasingly isolating and sedentary society. That's why we're listening to a stranger talk to a camera as if he's talking to us like we're his friends, sharing his opinions on games even though the only people who can decide how we feel about any particular game is ourselves.
That magic school animal-crossing-like is so intriguing! I can see why you like it, it's very charming and its neat to see the ways the deviated from their inspirations.
Man I'm scared to say this, but when pbg said not to watch some of his older videos, I genuinely went oooohh... :( I think his older videos were the best stuff he's done. Idk if it's nostalgia or my sense of humor changed but I still laugh at remembering some of his jokes.
Omg I remember the MySims videos and i remember I was so upset that you hated because I loved those games 😭😭 9 year old me could not fathom not liking MySims. And I watched your Animal Parade video when I like 9-10 and it got me HOOKED on the series!!
For MySims, I only ever played the DS version and I replayed it multiple times. I remember watching your video hating on MySims and thinking to myself about how much better the DS version was than what you described. I would love for you to give that version a chance a some point.
Magician’s Quest Mysterious Times! I saw your video with that in it back in college and IMMEDIATELY wanted it! It was way too expensive though, so I forgot all about it. Man though, maybe I’ll look into grabbing it again.
I managed to snag a copy about a year and a half ago because it was a game I always wanted as a kid, just almost impossible to come by even then. The game is still very expensive today if you buy on Ebay, and while I had a hard time learning all of the funky mechanics, I enjoy it and feel it was wellworth the investment. If you have a modified DS model or emulator as Peebs mentioned in the video, that's a much more budget friendly option. Mind you a lot of those websites that have those files have been taken down in recent years.
I've never played the original mysims but I've played mysims kingdom and I loved that game as a kid, seeing it on the direct filled me with nostalgia lmao i completely forgot about it
My partner, roomie and I played over 400 hours of the PS4 version of Fortune Street During the pandemic. It's so damn addictive once you understand the stock manipulation.
I wish I could come over and play Fortune Street. I similarly can never find anyone to play it with either ever since the online for the Wii died, I only had my one friend who introduced the game to me to play it with.
I Love Fortune Street and I have a funny story. For my high school senior year, I had an economics class. I thought of our final school day to have the class split into teams to play it. The teacher loved the idea, so I bought it and played through the single player to unlock everything. Unfortunately, one problem came up... I graduated in 2020. :( P.S. the game's still great tho
Peebs, I'll be honest... I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY PLAY FORTUNE STREET WITH YOU IF I COULD! Like, I had that game back in the day and had no friends to play with. I love Fortune Street.
I'd like to think that peebs at 0:40 genuinely just forgot what's in the script so he turned it into philsophy and the comedic timing was uniornically hilarious
I LOVE fortune street! I got addicted to the game after watching your let’s play with Jeff on it haha, and now I’m working on fully completing the game haha
Very happy to hear your opinions on the other MySims games. I grew up with the whole series (and I only have some regrets) and I can mostly agree with you. I think MySims Kingdom is what the first MySims SHOULD'VE been, it just has a much better gameplay formula and lets the characters show their personalities much more and much better (the characters are probably the best part of the series in my opinion). EA made an article a couple days ago where they mentioned the rerelease, they worded it as "starting a revival", so we might see some new MySims games in the future, and honestly, I hope they take notes from your videos! Agents is also really great, it's very different gameplay but still lets the characters shine and has a lot of fun to offer. I don't blame you for still criticizing the original, it's not as good compared to the others, but I will admit I still have some fun with it and I'm looking forward to replaying it. Also I completely agree with you on Fortune Street, it's such a gem and if you're willing to take some time to learn the rules, it's an insane amount of fun with friends.
honestly so happy you came around on twilight princess, i remember watching the top 10 zelda games video at the ripe age of maybe a middle schooler or something and feeling like i had gotten shot in the chest when you put twilight princess at a 10 since it was my all time favorite game at the time
Seeing this video was a real nostalgia train. That was some good content back in the day... bros gotten better at putting on a show but... DAMN, that quote, "you may not know I had a channel called Peanut butter gamer" was a jab in the gut, Gosh we're old, man!
I used to hate the borderlands series for no reason because my brother played it, but when I played borderlands 3, I instantly fell in love with the series.
That's really interesting because Borderlands 3 (vanilla before DLC) is considered one of the weakest entries. I think you would love Borderlands 2 and its DLCs, really is something special.
Twilight Princess on the Wii was what got me to actually enjoy Zelda fully. Little background, I started with the GC, like that's where Is started home consoles after only having a gameboy color and gameboy advance. My first two games were ATV Quad Power Racing 2 (fun with friends) and Wind Waker. I loved the world of wind waker, but I ended up hating the game because i could never get through the forsaken fortress the first time you go without your sword. Fast forward like 7 years and I got twilight princess. Not sure how. But I loved it. Beat it. Then went back and finally beat the forsaken fortress on wind waker.
The MySims DS versions are quite different from the Wii versions. I remember looking at the DS version of MySims agents fondly. Regular MySims DS is just ok
I’m still so glad you gave Animal Parade another chance! It was the first farming sim I ever played at 10 years old, and I remember getting the notification that you dropped your video on it a few years after I first started playing it. I was so excited that you had made a video on one of my favorite games. I’m 24 now, and I still play it from time to time.
This video showed up in my recommendeds, I'm wondering if he mentions that JonTron collaboration and his cool dance at the end of the video. Also I never learned what song that is?
It's really sad people still sleep on Fortune Street, I've never had a bad time time playing it with even just one other person even while getting destroyed. I've also had the same experience with Dokapon Kingdom, always trying to get people to try it and go through the story, never can get anyone to really understand it and commit. Two of my favorite party/board games ever, just collecting dust year after year approaching entropy along with myself because people don't like trying/learning new things. If you're ever gonna try the GBA CVs btw, I would recommend at least starting with Aria, and from my experience with Circle and what I've heard about the other one probably stopping there as well, but Aria is a really fantastic game. On a related note, how did you never finish SotN? It's like 6-8 hours long lol, definitely worth seeing through.
As an old peebs might have once said: Smash the truck! smash the truck! I'm a detective so I smash the truck! ...so clearly he enjoyed that. If I had any next options to recommend, try the DS games of the mysims series, I loved those and felt they did a lot better than the console alternatives.
Hey, that’s the guy who made Mario galaxy look like your constantly having a seizure, hilarious video. Didn’t realize you were still on TH-cam, keep it up man.
As a LONG time viewer of the main PBG channel, hearing you speak the words "I'm sorry MySims Kingdom and Agents" has given me an unbelievable amount of whiplash The Agents video in particular is one of my favorite videos on all of TH-cam, even though it's old as all hell I can't help but revisit it every now and then. Maybe it's time to actually play it.
2 things. #1 I would LOVE to play fortune street with you (I literally bought it because of the pb&Jeff play through. #2 I too am very guilty of getting deep into a game but never finishing it. Very relatable
MySims is iconic !!! I need EA to reconnect the Garden section for PC for multiplayer ‼️ i never even knew there was online multiplayer.. missed out on it during my og MySims days 💔
Hey, this made me think of a nice video idea, what about a video where you rank all of the harvest moon games, including the ones before and after the company and naming split, and including story of seasons. never seen like, any opinions for this series, plus i've been needing a reason to crave its gameplay and maybe seeing it will help, also i think it'd be cool. i could see it on either channel either just chill discussion at this table or the main channel. loving this channel now that i found it as an off-shoot of the main channel.
After hearing you turn around on Twilight Princess I really wonder if you got around to reading the manga version, it really contextualizes the games story in a really awesome way.
I am amazed that you are still around. I was here when you released all of those old videos, a decade ago. I randomly got recommendes this video, and went, "Holy shit, it's him."
CIty Folk is my favorite AC and I'm glad to see someone else say it's praise because I think its super underrated. The whole vibe of city folk is so charming and mysterious, and the gameplay to me is the perfect small town life that I love from animal crossing.
When 3-D graphics first came onto the scene with the Nintendo DS and the PSP, IT WAS AMAZING!!! Looking back at those games today, you start to see how not amazing they feel now, but to take yourself back to that time when games were all about fun(for the most part.. probably) And you get into that mindset of how the previous handheld was the Game Boy Advance and we were still being blown away by stuff on it.. I guess what I'm trying to say is that at the time it truly was amazing?! I'll never forget playing Mario 64DS in Walmart on the Nintendo kiosk, and thinking to myself "man, technology really has came along ways. It can't get any better than this?!?" Probably
twilight princess is one of my favorite zelda games, mostly because of my memories playing through the game with my grandfather. i don't remember if it was my first zelda game, i think i played OoT first, but after replaying it by myself a few years ago (never finished it but really wanted to) and i had so much fun. I think i also realized more charms of the game that i never really saw before since i was a wee little child when i first played it, but it was just so charming. There wasn't a lot of nostalgia because i tend to just forget everything about things i play/watch but that allowed me to re-experience the game for the first time.

Crap.
@@bluelfsumaemulation isn't scary, i promise you can do it! There are super straightforward step-by-step instructions right on youtube
Your pulling up of the color wheel when talking about Twilight Princess has been engrained in my memory since 2011.
I went from hating Skyward Sword, to respecting it 💙
TBF they fixed quite a few of the og's issues in the HD version, made it way more playable
Nice! Hope you have a good time with it. :)
It's super good! I love tree of tranquility :) (it's the one that came before! It uses the same characters)
Its good, one of my favourite HM, and the art direction is pretty cute.
Also ridable ostriches
I’m in the same boat! To in my case I didn’t play for too since it felt weird not playing a HM game on a handheld and my Wii kept making loud noises lol
Seeing PeanutButterGamer come around to love Twilight Princess has been one of the most cathartic moments of my life.
0:04-0:08
Given that that clip was taken from the main PBG channel, I’m actually kind of curious on what the next video on there is gonna be about.
Twilight Princess was the first Zelda game I played in its entirety, and I remember being so mad when I first watched your top ten Zelda video, but reminded myself that everyone has different tastes in games. You wouldn't believe how happy I felt when you changed your mind on it
I'd say, don't delete the video. If you really want to mark it as out of date, maybe change the title, put in a pinned comment, and/or put a note in the description
I'm gonna go rewatch all the g-files videos for the nostalgia now
WHY WONT ANYONE PLAY FORTUNE STREET? It's not just you peebs, bought it years ago after seeing you and Jeff play. Still have yet to play with another human
Everyone I show FS too gets hooked on it. One time, while playing, my friends were teaming up on me and teasing me about it, and it pissed me off. I said I was going to the bathroom but instead I went to the basement and shut off power to.the house
ITS SO GOOD??? such a great game on the wii, my brother and i sunk hundreds of hours playing it as kids
@@mschmalfeldtwtf is this story bro you ok?
I haven't watched you in like 10 years and I didn't even realize I wasn't on the PBG channel. Feels like seeing an old friend again. Glad to see you talking about those old games again. Also I was a Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival defender too, I still like it but WOW it was not good.
Those who are new to PeanutButterGamer will never know how bizarre it is hearing that Majoras Mask is no longer Peebs favorite Zelda
I used to watch your videos during middle school, I’m glad to find your channel again
This is a different channel! Thanks for watching. :)
This feels like a time-warp tribute video and I love it,
Seeing different varieties of PBG is thrilling ❤
I was definitely wrong about halo reach. When it came out i didnt like how they brough back health packs and i hated the new style of the enemies but now playing it i see its a masterpiece
Twlight princess will always be my favorite zelda game always my top 3 it's number one on my list
Me as well! I would say it’s honestly my number 1 game just for how nostalgic and different it was compared to other Zelda games! Midna was just the best companion imo to have in any Zelda game and the ending ofc 🥹
20:17 i do this all the time, ive played COUNTLESS games that i fell in love with and just never beat, it makes me feel guilty in a way i love the game so much and i cant bring myself to actually see it through to the end, but as long as you enjoy a game i think its fulfilled its purpose at least to me
Oh, sweet justice for the MySims series 🤣
In all seriousness, it's good to hear that you do have some positive thoughts about the sequels. I'll be real, while I plan on getting the Cozy Bundle I'm not 100% sure about starting with the og MySims. It looks clunky, and the camera angle could def be better. But I am excited to try Kingdom! I had fun with it's ds version.
I'm not expecting much because EA, but adding a full camera tilt control and not just rotating doesn't seem TOO far off. Again, we'll see.
12:08 that primal scream is iconic
0:46 Desperation for anything to fill the void of silence in our increasingly isolating and sedentary society. That's why we're listening to a stranger talk to a camera as if he's talking to us like we're his friends, sharing his opinions on games even though the only people who can decide how we feel about any particular game is ourselves.
That magic school animal-crossing-like is so intriguing! I can see why you like it, it's very charming and its neat to see the ways the deviated from their inspirations.
I loved when you played Fortune Street with Luke. I do hope you convince people to play it with you again, it’s honestly pretty sick
Man I'm scared to say this, but when pbg said not to watch some of his older videos, I genuinely went oooohh... :(
I think his older videos were the best stuff he's done. Idk if it's nostalgia or my sense of humor changed but I still laugh at remembering some of his jokes.
I love fortune street, play it with my friends every time we meet up. Love the chaos that always erupts
I loved that game, but I barely played it but I still love it.
@@FarewellToHoomanitee Ooo, gotcha! Thanks a bunch for the advice! In that case, I’ll go yohohoing and see if I can find it online.
hearing him mention those old 2010-2012 videos is suchhh a throwback to when i first started watching pbg back when i was 9
You've done MySims revisionsm. now its time for Hubert the Teddy Bear revisionism
Just like real life! I can't get enough of manipulating economies through criminal activity to get what I want faster!
That Fortune Street playthrough with Jeff was actually my favorite series on that channel
P.S. the game's still great tho
Peebs, I'll be honest... I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY PLAY FORTUNE STREET WITH YOU IF I COULD! Like, I had that game back in the day and had no friends to play with. I love Fortune Street.
the my sims games were my childhood. I've gone back and looked at the profiles and I somehow accomplished nothing.
I'd like to think that peebs at 0:40 genuinely just forgot what's in the script so he turned it into philsophy and the comedic timing was uniornically hilarious
I bet you're spot on 😂
Animal Parade is my FAVORITE Harvest Moon game! I love how each rival can get married and have kids that interact with you and your kids!
I LOVE fortune street! I got addicted to the game after watching your let’s play with Jeff on it haha, and now I’m working on fully completing the game haha
Your PB and Jeff playthrough is the reason why I bought Fortune Street. I'm also not able to find anyone to play with 😔
Very happy to hear your opinions on the other MySims games.
Fortune street is the only reason I still own a Wii. Underrated classic!
honestly so happy you came around on twilight princess, i remember watching the top 10 zelda games video at the ripe age of maybe a middle schooler or something and feeling like i had gotten shot in the chest when you put twilight princess at a 10 since it was my all time favorite game at the time
Seeing this video was a real nostalgia train.
FORTUNE STREET
Wish they would make another Fortune Street game!! Would be awesome on Switch.
holy shit I forgot about the turnips clip LMAO
The MySims DS versions are quite different from the Wii versions. I remember looking at the DS version of MySims agents fondly. Regular MySims DS is just ok
I’m still so glad you gave Animal Parade another chance!
It was the first farming sim I ever played at 10 years old, and I remember getting the notification that you dropped your video on it a few years after I first started playing it. I was so excited that you had made a video on one of my favorite games.
I’m 24 now, and I still play it from time to time.
as soon as I saw my sims I heard "apples and grapes" echo in the back of my head
This video showed up in my recommendeds, I'm wondering if he mentions that JonTron collaboration and his cool dance at the end of the video. Also I never learned what song that is?
I was waiting for the mention of my sims / kingdom 😂 oddly enough, i was watching those old videos recently
For My Sims, there's a minimap to make up for the camera. Those 3 My Sims games are a tie for me.
I love Fortune Street so much!! Quite literally one of my favorite games. I'll come play
Yay a new video just what I needed today a massive nostalgia bomb when you bought up the my sims agents video.
As an old peebs might have once said:
Smash the truck! smash the truck! I'm a detective so I smash the truck!
...so clearly he enjoyed that.
If I had any next options to recommend, try the DS games of the mysims series, I loved those and felt they did a lot better than the console alternatives.
il play fortune street with you. i grew up with the game and it is severely underrated!!!!!!!!!!
Now here’s the thing for the MySims building at least, it’s also on pc, I’ve played both, and the building is sooo much better on pc, it is insane!
Yeah I prefer MySims Agents over the rest, tho I played it on the DS back then and idk if it still holds up to this day
I literally based my main oc's twin brother off the green haired buddy
my turnips... they reached the FOURTH level of their grown cycle.....
Twilight princess is still my favorite
Hey, that’s the guy who made Mario galaxy look like your constantly having a seizure, hilarious video.
Didn’t realize you were still on TH-cam, keep it up man.
peanuts shirt is AWESOME peebs!
As a LONG time viewer of the main PBG channel, hearing you speak the words "I'm sorry MySims Kingdom and Agents" has given me an unbelievable amount of whiplash
The Agents video in particular is one of my favorite videos on all of TH-cam, even though it's old as all hell I can't help but revisit it every now and then. Maybe it's time to actually play it.
2 things. #1 I would LOVE to play fortune street with you (I literally bought it because of the pb&Jeff play through. #2 I too am very guilty of getting deep into a game but never finishing it. Very relatable
Peebs you are NEVER wrong 😤👊🏽
TRUE.
MySims is iconic !!! I need EA to reconnect the Garden section for PC for multiplayer ‼️ i never even knew there was online multiplayer.. missed out on it during my og MySims days 💔
I heard this guy is never wrong about games.
Why am I not in this video. I was a game you were wrong about, I’m actually pretty cool. And yet..I’m waiting on my apology video
Cringe
@@Vlad-si9xs I know 😔

You didn't liked at first Twilight Princess? Really? Because that's one of my favorite Zelda games of all time!
It can't get any better than this?!?"
Probably
twilight princess is one of my favorite zelda games, mostly because of my memories playing through the game with my grandfather. i don't remember if it was my first zelda game, i think i played OoT first, but after replaying it by myself a few years ago (never finished it but really wanted to) and i had so much fun. I think i also realized more charms of the game that i never really saw before since i was a wee little child when i first played it, but it was just so charming. There wasn't a lot of nostalgia because i tend to just forget everything about things i play/watch but that allowed me to re-experience the game for the first time.
Idk if i've been missing out but this content is super entertaining and bringing me enjoyment from when i used to watch your really old stuff lol. I hope you find a happy balance between using the past as content but also not relying on it. Good stuff regardless
