- So i have been wanting to get to this comparison for a while now and I know many have asked me to do this one as well. I like and think that BOTH of these trucks are top notch and just go over the numbers mainly in this one and my opinion of what I have seen first hand!

One thing that was a BIGGER advantage with the Kraton, and I am kicking myself in the ass for not remembering to include in the edit ,is that it is almost 2 lbs lighter then the BE6S.
To be fair, with larger tires, thicker plastic and steel and the overall chassis size and layout difference, it is almost expected!
The only thing I would say is, there are many other factors that should be included when grading RC trucks. Things like parts availability etc. where I am, I don't think it would matter how good the Redcat is because you don't see them. Or I don't at least. And idk how easy it is to get parts online for it because I haven't looked. I have a Kraton and really like it and other Arrma vehicles. I think Arrma is a rising star that deserves the attention but none of that would ever mean I get angry at you for feeling different. (If that's even the case) i wouldn't get angry at anyone for that. People are always more important than products and it only matters what YOU like anyway. Good quality video bro!
@@smperkins410 I have a BE6S, 2 MT8E's (both kids) a Talion and Kraton and the BE6S comes with more upgrades, Stronger arms and a better servo just out the gate and i have had to replace all the Arms on my Kraton with RPM's ( as they broke) and only have ever had to replace 2 arms on the BE6S, once from hitting a curb and the other split at the hinge pin... but it was an old arm and been through alot. I like all of them though myself. Just things I have noticed with more use and first hand then I had making this video
How do you feel about the Kraton V4 vs the BE6S? Man such a tuff decision for me.

I’ve owned both, only downside to the BE6s is brittle plastic, and not as easy to work on as a Kraton. GREAT VIDEO. BE6s is a tough truck.
Not sure what Brittle plastic it is and I know every landing can be different and conditions but I have never snapped my A-arm on the MT8S or BE6S and it took my son driving his MT8E into a curb to break the upper arm and hing pin. We broke my buddies front arm on the Arrma on his 3rd run. Again, all things may not be equal but i have not found that plastic to be brittle and don't sell a ton of parts for them! I am sure that is what you may have seen, so not trying to discredit you, just stating what I have seen being one who sells parts for these trucks!

Anyways das the be6s can upgrade make it faster to run 80+ mph? I was wondering if the be6s can hold a bigger pinion a 22+
As I've mentioned before, I own four Redcat vehicles, and love them to the moon and back!..🌔 With that being said, Arrma vehicles are also VERY well built!..💯% I own both the Talion and the Typhon (both setup for street drag!). So, for me, it's easy to say (not unlike yourself! 🙄) that I prefer the "look" of the Talion over the Kraton!..🤷🏾♂️ But that's just me!Lol 😏 My cars/trucks mainly consist of Redcat and Arrma (with a few others "peppered" in!..) My Bro-in-law has both of those, and I can tell you for a fact, that BE6S is an "all out" beast!..💪🏾
Hi,appreciate the both comparisons on the be6 and kraton,i dont have a kraton,but i have the bes and e6,as im from asia,i only have 1 question,do u agree the kraton is more great handling drive on track connering and handling rather than the be6?i have drive the kraton,but valuations on both platforms guess the kraton won by handling purpose rather than hard bashing.

Good comparison between Kraton and TRMT8E BE6S. Both awesome trucks. Team Magic trucks under Redcat racing is the only thing Worth talking about Redcat. They should just buy out Team Magic and move on to stay relevant in this hobby market. I have both trucks and YES the BE6S is one Badass truck that can definitely hang with the kraton (Arrma trucks) in (Almost) every aspect/category. I give an edge to the kraton in terms of overall bashabity(yes, it a new Word LOL) experience. More stable and balance very predictable in the air. Based on my experience. Kraton (Arrma trucks) have a better parts and upgrade parts support. Arrma is just Better. little tip. It would be best to spend a little more time with the truck (Kraton) for better overall comparison. Good video bro.
Well as a dealer, i have no issue with part support AND that will also be changing here in 2019. HRP distributing just struck a deal with Redcat to carry their trucks and parts. This will open ALOT more dealers and Local shops up to the full parts and vehicle line where as when Tower brought them in, it was vehicles only. So THAT doesn't help part support locally. I have had NO issues getting parts for the Team Redcat line ever and i am sure users would agree. Redcat has an awesome customer service and is quick and stands behind their trucks. The part support thing gets thrown around alot and I am sorry, I waited 2 months for Center driveshafts for an outcast and I know others that have had issues getting replacement parts. So Arrma is no Traxxas when it comes to parts availability either! I have not seen this limited access to parts from the Redcats as far as online access goes.
BSD racing is the OEM for these Redcat's and team magic
@@philthyco1 BSD is the Landslide, Blackout, Terremoto, Caldera, Earthquake and Shredder models. NOT the Team Redcat Line or the complete Redcat collection..

@@philthyco1 Not really and I sell Arrma, Traxxas and others.. You want the Kraton, i can sell it.. SO why be biased? You are speaking things that you are not aware of.. YES Redcat uses other factories, you stated they were all BSD including the Team Redcat line. That is not true. The HSP models are Volcano, Tornado, Lightning, Rampage and Dukono. The Gen8 will be Redcats first complete designed model and 100% Redcat exclusive. I did not say anything bad about the Kraton. I am sorry it has smaller shafts, arm thickness, tire size, motor mount and lacks bumper support or a wheelie bar.. "I" didn't make that happen.. I just showed them side by side and went over those things and compared. Read some of the comments on this and the Outcast comparison, There are guys who own both that agree with most of my points.. I had a bunch that I liked on the Kraton and talked about.. I can't make it thicker though! Still a good truck and I never say it is not.. So really not getting the whole I am biased thing!
PLEASE, get yourself one and do a comparison of your own and I would love to watch it and hear it from the other side as you sound like you are all for the Kraton.. And that is fine!!!! I am not offending you anywhere in this video!!

I have both also. Run the be6s on 6s geared 19/47 pinion/spur and it gets “hot!” Overgeared for sure but I love the speed and it is fun! My Kraton is a fully built beast though if you have seen it on the arrma forum. 6s graphene, tp 4070cm 2200kv motor, geared 20/50 pinion/spur, 13,200uf cap pack.
19 with the 46t spur is doable. 17-18T was the sweet spot with 3.8 larger tires on the BE6S. 22T with the SRC's and on road but it was hot with htose ... I can't believe yours hasn't hit thermal cut off on you in mid runs. Mine did on 19 which is why i backed it down. Running temps, outdoors, may factor as well
the hw max8 esc does thermal towards the end of a run; the motor is so hot it is almost red 🤓 I am just going to run it like this until I replace the set. The stock tires are nice; they balloon too much but the tread life is excellent.

i like e revos body retention sytem ..i mean the body clips have ben around since 1979. i think its high time they did away with them and come up with something else...
Karl I've got a question,. Can I run the 80 amp 2-4S rtr esc with a 3652 3800 kv motor? What if I only ran it on 2 and 3S batteries, would it be ok to run the motor with that esc?
2 to 3S on that esc with that kv is fine. Staying within the motor limits on gearing
No Problems Computer & Hobby, what would be a good pinion to run on that motor with the stock spur gear in it??

Arrma and redcat has come a long way l think they will continue to get better I like them both I was a traxxas guy but traxxas is full of them self's
Traxxas got me into the hobby two decades ago but everything is so proprietary with them them. Gotta break those parts and buy more! They obviously have good engineers but everything is plastic. Like everything!!! So, the fact they run like they do means they are "well made" just maybe not in the way we would want. Idk... I have a 4×4 slash but I like my eighth scale Arrma Kraton better. In fact, I like eighth scale better period. It feels closer to my quads and dirt bikes I used to love so much so it fills that void for me. It's the inertia of them... they feel closer to something you would ride IN. Not the same. Just closer than the 1/10 I used to have exclusively years ago.
And yes they give different body mounts

Be6S is a great truck. More of a monster truck too. It isn’t just a truggy with bigger tires. Both trucks take a beating. I’m keeping my v3 Kraton and Be6S for sure
Kraton V3 is one of my favorite bashers i own, it definitely trumps the mt8e be6s IMO

@@NPCRC never did buy one, had plans too cus a friend had one but then the v3 kraton came out n i went with that n he also sold the redcat n just picked up a v3, its a good truck i just personally liked the kraton a lil more
@@STEVOD313 I was only asking because the truck is under geared out the box and you would be shocked how many people don't mess with the pinion gear before they draw conclusions. The truck should come with a 14T stock , IMO and then that first impression would be more memorable. I drove the Kraton the other day and I was not as impressed, It ended with me breaking the front arm on a nose dive landing and It was stock where as none of my trucks, except the Colossus, are running stock set ups. So I was use to more out of my BE6S from last run on it, to the first run on that. Circumstances like that factor in to that first impression, but all in all I like the Kraton and we were having a blast with it until that landing!
I have 5 Arrmas and had the MT8e highly upgraded (twice) last time I basically gave the MT8e away. I still have 5 Arrmas. Of course other stuff too 🤣 I also had a MT10e highly upgraded. Sold that too.... I think that pretty much sums up my opinion. Stevo, just keep doing what you doing man, you don't need to buy a BE6S to compare. It's a totally different truck, it's high CG and it has a gearing problem out the box. It needs a lower kv motor geared up so it doesn't have heat issues. Hit me up of you want more info 👍
@@GreatLakesRC I found the motor to be under geared on the BE6S by 4-6T and have had up to 9T more on my BE6S before heat became an issue. It actually got cooler going from the stock 11T to the 14T... Oh wait, though.. you had the MT8E, not the BE6S... The gearing was different, spur was 1t smaller and pinion was a 14T. That one I had up to 22T with a 4274 6S w/SRC's on. Got hot with my Big Joe's so went back to 19-20 and was fine. The 4S motor did good on 16 and was 50+ then but with that locked spool, it was all wasted in wheelies... and those soft tires... Glad they did the V2 as the truck needs the center diff and the BE6S tires are so much better!

I have shipped them there but gets pricey.. Still could have one at a good price +$80-120 extra, making it roughly 40-60 more then one over here regularly
@@NPCRC yes I know but the truck isint on eBay that's probably ny best bet or amain hobies where else can I get it from that ships overseas. I'm not worried about parts aas they're are a few on ebay.

Nice review Karl! Both trucks are great in my book. I drive the BE6S because it's a completely different experience as far as bashing goes. But the Kraton out the box is a bit more durable IMO, jumps a bit more controlled and is the hottest 8th scale to date. I still think the BE6S looks better hands down haha! (My favorite)😉....now mix the EREVO 2.0 in there and things get complicated haha! Lookswise I'm referring to....
They didn't change enough on the E-Revo over my v1 comparison to warrant another video... Its different electronics, their upgraded shafts , new tires and copied body cladding... Needed a new chassis design to win me back over.. and i loved my E-Revo for a while there. .The difference you are noting on the Kraton and BE6S has alot to do with the weight difference. 2 lbs can make a difference. The parts being thicker and the tires larger, do factor into that though... Also I have to question the pinion you were on in the BE6S? I know in your MT8Evs BE6S comparison you were saying the Mt8E felt better out the box. The pinion bear and spur gears are different, therefore the MT8E was faster out the box with that 2600kv on 4S. The 46/14t on the MT8E vs the 47/11T on the BE6S makes a difference.. You aren't having fun on a BE6S until you are a 14-16T pinion, IMO
@@NPCRC Great point. I got a 14T on my BE6S now and running 500K in the center now. Also added the ARRMA BLX system to my MT8E with added center diff with 500K once again and they're both excellent😃
@THE NPC Never said they Invented it.. JUST like Traxxas didn't invent Cantilever shocks or saddle bad servo mounts. It doesn't mean that the MT8E, (and other 1/8 trucks), weren't looked at when they were trying to improve the E-Revo, Pulling idea's from other RC's i easily a possibility.

Having owned both.... I have to say MY personal opinion is that the BE6S is more fun... I had such high Hope's for the kraton but to me that wasn't the case... yeah its lighter then the BE6S... but cosmetics and durability for me.. go to the BE6S... people talk about aftermarket support... not thinking that box stock... in my opinion the BE6S doesnt really need the support....turnbuckles are the only thing I think it needed addressed....
Arrma is a great but be6s is the bigger boss
